Paper analyse retail banking fees in Czech Republic. It depicts bank methods of pricing retail banking fees and selected fees are compared across the market. Competition at similar foreign markets is shortly analysed as comparison tool. Testing the demand side of this market surprisingly revealed that the lack of competition between retail banks is not the main reason of low pressure on retail banking fees decrease. The same testing shows the significant passivity of customers as main cause.

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku hospodaření bank a vytváření zisku. Věnuje se hospodaření jednak z teoretického hlediska, popisuje faktory, které ovlivňují ziskovost bank. Lehce nastíní i problematiku poplatků a úroků z úvěrů. Zabývá se i řízením banky z teoretického hlediska. Cílem je předložit poznatky v této oblasti a zjistit, zda jsou české banky ziskové a konkurenceschopné. Ve výzkumné části jsme pro tento účel využili srovnání s bankami v Maďarsku a na Slovensku.

Práce se zaměřuje na analýzu a srovnání bankovních poplatků průměrného retailového klienta v České Republice. V úvodních částech jsou představeny události související s tématem bankovních poplatků v České republice jako snaha ministerstva financí uzákonit některá pravidla, žaloby na banky, anketa o nejabsurdnější poplatek a samozřejmě názory představitelů bank. Dále jsou zde popsány bankovní sektory Česka, Slovenska a Polska z hlediska struktury ( počet bank, podíl zahraničního kapitálu) a ziskovosti. Samotná analýza je provedena ve všech třech zemích v prvé řadě z pohledu průměrného českého klienta používajícího běžný účet a služby s ním související. Uvedeny jsou také některé údaje pro méně a více aktivního klienta. Výsledné náklady jsou posléze porovnány navzájem v absolutních hodnotách a ve vztahu k průměrné mzdě a srovnány s analýzou ?World Retail Banking Report? a slovenskou studií ?Porovnanie ročných nákladov na vedenie bežných účtov vo vybraných európskych krajinách?. V práci docházím k závěru, že nejdražší z vybraných zemí není Česká republika ale Polsko, a to jak v absolutních hodnotách, tak v porovnání poplatků jako procenta průměrné mzdy.

Bankovní sektor procházel v posledních patnácti letech procesem transformace, privatizace a implementace technologických změn. To mělo za následek podstatné rozšíření produktové nabídky a její přiblížení klientům pomocí alternativních distribučních kanálů. Slabou stránkou tohoto rychlého vývoje je mimo jiné skutečnost, že tyto nové služby nejsou navzájem zkonsolidovány tak, aby z nich každý klient maximalizoval svůj užitek. Konkrétně se jedná o balíčky služeb s neprůhlednými sazebníky nebo poplatky za předčasná splacení bez návaznosti na jiné produkty. Tyto parciální nedostatky se staly předmětem zájmu státních institucí, které se snažily o vyšší regulaci tohoto trhu. Přínosem této práce je zmapování bankovního trhu z pohledu nabídky služeb, vnímání klientů a rozhodování finančních institucí. Závěry se opírají o průzkumy trhu, které vypovídají o úrovni, příležitostech a potřebách tohoto odvětví. Cílem je popsat skutečný stav retailového trhu, zhodnotit postavení klientů v tomto tržním vztahu, vystihnout míru konkurence na tomto trhu a na základě těchto skutečností zvážit nutnost státních intervencí do tohoto odvětví.

English recapitulation of this thesis -Legal regulations of the Waste management in the Czech Republic The main purpose of the thesis is to demonstrate the most important waste management principles in the Czech Republic and in the other European countries. The thesis is divided into 8 chapters. The first chapter deals with a general introduction concerning the topic. It indicates global situation and undesirable influences of deficiencies in the waste management on condition of world seas and oceans. The second chapter considers the waste management as a branch of science activity. This branch was established in 1980s in west European countries, however, 10 years later also in the Czech Republic. The first Parliament Act on the waste management in Czechoslovakia was created in 1991. There were some mistakes and dubiousness in the Act and it was necessary to put them aside before joining the European Union in 2004. Before 2004, this Act had been changed completely two times. The Act of Czech Parliament 185/2001 Sb. went into force on 1st January 2002. Since then, it has been novelized many times according to the European law and is currently responding to the European directives. The thesis deals with road taxes and charges collection systems in the Czech Republic and in selected European Union countries. At first the thesis generally describes economics of transport, the second chapter describes the current road taxes and charges collection systems, a substantial part of the chapter focuses on road taxes and charges in the Czech Republic. The third chapter contains descriptive statistics of taxes and fees. The last part of the thesis contains a statistical analysis of the factors influencing an amount of road charges in the Czech Republic and in selected European Union countries. The aim of this thesis is to assess the impact of different factors to the level and evolution of revenues from road taxes and charges.

Farmaceutický průmysl je velmi prestižním odvětvím, ve kterém se točí spousta peněz. Pro rok 2006 bylo za léčiva utraceno 64 miliard Kč. Kategorizace léčiv je jedním z nástrojů lékové politiky, jak zamezit stále rostoucím nákladům na farmakoterapii. Práce podává souhrnný přehled o jednotlivých stakeholders v oblasti lékové politiky, vývoji lékové politiky v ČR, spotřebě léčiv a celkově analyzuje situaci v ČR.

Práce se věnuje zobrazení nehmotného majetku v základu daně z příjmů, a to zejména prostřednictvím daňových odpisů a výnosů z licenčních poplatků. Zkoumá vliv daňových odpisů na ekonomické proměnné a analyzuje příčiny existence tří platných úprav daňových odpisů nehmotného majetku v soudobé legislativě ČR. V rámci výnosů z nehmotného majetku je práce zaměřena zejména na mezinárodní zdanění, modelovou smlouvu OECD a tansfer pricing.

The thesis deals with the functioning of depositories in the enviroment of the Czech market from the perspective of legislative and practical. The introduction is devoted to directives that make up a harmonized legal framework and the Czech legislativ, which specifically prescribes behaving of depositories. The main part is devoted to the depositary functions, such as operating in the Czech market conditions. This part of work is focused not only on the distribution of the depositary market, but also on the collected amount of the fees, the efficiency of regulation in the real market enviroment and in the importace of depositories in the Czech market. The final section is devoted to the findings, including the final assessment of the depositaries. As a first of its kind, this thesis gives a comprehensive view of activity of depositories and their importace for the Czech market, as the depositaries represent entities that control whether funds act in accordance with the legislation. Depository oversees as to prevent fraud and to qualified investors or collective investment contributed to the further development of the capital market, which is necessary for the further development of all economic sectors.
