Monitoring nervového systému u pacientů s kraniocerebrálním poraněním - role sestry / Monitoring of the nervous system of patients with craniocerebral injury - Nurse's role

VANIŠOVÁ, Štěpánka January 2019 (has links)
This theoretical thesis focuses on monitoring of nervous system of patients with craniocerebral injury and the nurse´s role in the problem. Its aim was to provide a general and comprehensive overview of craniocerebral injury and also the monitoring options of nervous system of patients with this particular injury, and to map out the nurse´s role in monitoring of nervous system of patients with craniocerebral injury. In order to achieve the objectives, the method of review and data synthesis was employed. The sources for the thesis were sought out through professional foreign databases, internet browsers and with the help of catalogues and databases of libraries. It was drawn from professional literature, both domestic and foreign, in electronic and printed form. Owing to the development of technologies, new monitoring techniques of nervous system appear in clinical practice. Such techniques are somewhere considered standard, elsewhere they are only being introduced or there has been no experience with such techniques at all. The nurses working with patients with craniocerebral injury should have sufficient information on this problem. Unfortunately, literature dealing with this issue and intended for nurses is scarce in domestic sources. Thus the theses might at least partially serve as a study material both for nurses and students. In the thesis, patophysiology of craniocerebral disease is clarified as well as current most often applied methods of monitoring of nervous system of patients with craniocerebral injury, both abroad and in our country. In the next part of the thesis, the individual monitoring methods are supplemented by information used especially by the nurses working with patients with craniocerebral injury in Intensive Care Units.

Menzlová, Erika January 2014 (has links)
Objective Our aim was to compare two regimens of antibiotic prophylaxis at the time of repair of obstetric anal sphincter injury. Benefit of long regimen of antibiotic prophylaxis in comparison with short regimen of antibiotic administration haven't been till now proven. Material and Methods Women who gave vaginal birth in department of gynaecology and obstetrics of the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and Hospital Bulovka from 1.1.2008 to 30.6.2013 and who sustained third - or fourth - degree perineal tears have been enrolled in our trial. All women who fulfilled trial criteria received at the time of repair antibiotic prophylaxis which was cefuroxim (second - generation cephalosporin). This antibiotic has good sensitivity to vaginal gram-positive flora and to rectal gram-negative microorganisms too. Suture technique and following postpartum care have been standardized. All enrolled women were checked 2 weeks and 3 months after delivery. We evaluated subjective and objective parameters of healing of the obstetric perineal injury and 3 months postpartum we looked for symptomps regarding anal incontinence. The Manchester questionnaire was used for evaluation of anal incontince occurance. Results Incidence of third - and fourth - degree perineal tears was 1,4 % during period of our...

Benefity CT vyšetření v soudním lékařství / The Benefits of the Computed Tomography in the Forensic Medicine

Pohlová Kučerová, Štěpánka January 2021 (has links)
The benefits of the computed tomography in the forensic medicine Radiological imaging methods represent one of the complementary examination methods supplementing conventional autopsy in addition to histological, toxicological, biochemical, microbiological, and serological examination in forensic medicine. The basic and commonly available radiological imaging method in forensic practice is X-ray imaging. With the development of modern radiological imaging methods (especially computed tomography and nuclear magnetic resonance), these modern methods have been gradually applied to the field of forensic medicine. The rapid development of radiological imaging methods in recent years (especially computed tomography and nuclear magnetic resonance) has caused the gradual application of these modern methods in the field of forensic medicine. Post mortem CT (pmCT) examination is now a common part of forensic medicine in the most developed world countries (Switzerland, Denmark, Australia, Japan, Germany, Italy, France and others) and since 2015 this examination has been available at two departments of forensic medicine in the Czech Republic. The primary aim of the study was to evaluate the benefits of pmCT examination in routine forensic practice in three comprehensive groups of individuals who died as a result of...

Změny schopnosti stabilizace a čití na noze po zranění hlezna u volejbalistů / Changes of stabilization ability and sensation of the foot after ankle injury by volleyball players

Voláková, Veronika January 2012 (has links)
Title: Changes of stabilization ability and sensation of the foot after ankle injury by volleyball players Objectives: To examine if volleyball players have any changes of stabilization ability and afferent function of the foot, using examination of stabilization ability and afferent function examination of the foot after ankle injury. To discover if any interrelated connections exist between stabilization ability and afferent function of the foot after ankle injury by volleyball players. Methods: We used a single-leg stance to examine postural control. We performed a common neurological examination (two-point discrimination, graphestesia, kinesthesia and vibration sense) to examine afferent function - superficial sensation and deep sensation with two-point esthesiometer, tuning-fork, and blunt object. Results: Stabilization ability after ankle injury using a single-leg stance examination deteriorated for 62.5% probands. Afferent function of the foot after ankle injury wasn't significantly impacted. Only two-point discrimination in the middle of the instep injured foot (area Lisfranc joint) decreased by 62.5% probands. Graphestesia, kinesthesia and vibration sense examination didn't show significant changes of afferent function after distorsion injury of the ankle. A change of stabilization ability...

Efektivita kognitivního tréninku u osob po traumatickém poranění mozku nebo cévní mozkové příhodě / The Effectiveness of Cognitive Training in Patients after Traumatic Brain Injury or Stroke

Kozáková, Eva January 2013 (has links)
Recently, the literature concerned with the possibilities and limitations of working memory training has been growing rapidly. Nonetheless, there are still no clear answers about the principles of its effectiveness or transfer effect. The main questions we ask are about effectiveness of cognitive training in patients after stroke or TBI. To our knowledge this group hasn't been studied in this context yet. To do this, we compare two types of cognitive training - extensively studied N-back training (n=11) and still more popular group cognitive therapy (n=9) with a placebo control group (n=5) who recieves "training" in a simple computer game. The placebo control group then continues in N-back training. Our hypothesis is that after 3 weeks the two trainings should lead to significantly higher gains in cognitive tests scores than the placebo condition. Also, we expected N-back to be more effective than group cognitive training in domains more closely related to executive control. We tested attention, fluid intelligence, short-term and working memory. We also recorded participants well-being. Following training, there were no significant differences between N-back and group training. N-back group scored significantly higer on Trail Making Test A than control group (p=0,026). Although our study doesn't...
