The central objective of this study is to verify the practice pedagogic of liberation, of the popular school goes children originating from of peripheries and of farmers' families without earth, of Fundamental the Teaching of the Home São José, in the Municipal district of Goiás is secularized or in the, and the he is reflected the motivation her religious original in political-pedagogic practice, today. / Este trabalho é a realização de uma pesquisa sobre como se dá atualmente a relação entre a motivação religiosa originária quando da fundação do Lar São José e a presença dessa motivação na sua prática pedagógica; como essa motivação religiosa está sendo concebida e praticada pelos educadores dessa instituição. E, a partir das concepções teóricas que podem dar suporte a estas práticas, identificar as possibilidades concretas de uma atuação docente mais efetiva, na perspectiva de um aprofundamento da prática educativa libertadora a partir dessas mesmas motivações. O objetivo central deste estudo é verificar se a prática pedagógica libertadora, de uma escola popular para crianças oriundas de periferias e de famílias de lavradores sem terra, do Ensino Fundamental do Lar São José, no Município de Goiás é secularizada ou não, e como se reflete a motivação religiosa originária em sua prática político-pedagógica, hoje.
