Annotation: The thesis is devoted to the Multicultural education on the Czech primary and grammar schools. The thesis is separated into two parts. First theoretic part is focused on the idea of multicultural awareness, definition of the Multicultural education and its interpretation by the Framework Education Programme. Professional education of designated specialists in this area. Teacher's and pupil's ethnical opinion. Study of diverse organizations focused on the Multicultural education and their study curriculum. The second part of my thesis is quality research, which is based on semi-structured interviews with four education specialists teaching Multicultural education on primary and grammar schools in Prague and Česká Lípa within the Civic education. Thesis base is about real level of Multicultural education on the selected schools, evaluating how teachers incorporating teaching aids and examining schools cooperation with organizations providing multicultural programs and teaching aids. The topic is viewed through a cultural-historical context which consists of influences of evolutionary theories, social darwinism, racial theories, heredity research, or distinctions between social classes. The special emphasis is placed on reflections of the main aspects of this context in the Finnish literature, mainly in the works of Minna Canth, T. Pakkala, L. Onerva, Toivo Tarvas and Maila Talvio.

The thesis deals with right-wing extremism in the context of democracy. In the first part, democracy, its development and basic values are characterised. The following part describes extremism and its rudimentary typology, historical roots of right-wing extremism and its strategy. The final part focuses on the fight of democracy against extremism. In this part, possible anti-extremist measures are proposed, including critical reflections on the principles of right-wing extremism. Furthermore, a concept of so-called militant democracy is introduced, along with the analysis of its application in the Czech Republic and its critical reflection.

The diploma thesis delay with H. S. Chamberlain's thinking as a representative of biological determinism and racism, which id presented in the context of modern progress of secular thinking. Thesis further describes eugenics as the outcome of this way of thinking, which is presented in it's theory and the practice of Nazi "racial hygiene", but also at present, where eugenics practice in a certain measure still persists, under other names only.

In the submitted thesis the author focuses on the rising popularity of extremist political parties in the Czech Republic. The popularity growth of extremist political parties in the Czech Republic is proven by election results in recent years. Right-wing extremists{\crq} ``combat power{\crqq} growth is closely connected with the increasing number of their followers. Regional elections in 2008, in which the Labour Party achieved almost 29 thousand votes, which represents eight times more than the party had achieved in the previous elections in 2004, can be a proof of that. What is more, this party achieved 1.07% votes in the European Parliament elections and it surpassed the limit which is necessary for the state subsidy requisition. In the Theoretical Part the author deals with definitions of basic terms ``extreme{\crqq} and ``radical{\crqq}. Then he deals with the theoretical division of the political scene, from both the current point of view and the historical point of view, into the rights and the lefts. Then he attends to some terms which are closely associated with extremism, such as: nationalism, anti-Semitism and racism. In the Conclusion of the Theoretical Part the author focuses on the far rights and the far lefts. He pays attention to both the current representatives and to their predecessors of those extreme lines. In the Practical Part the author sets his targets and defines hypotheses and he also attends to the used research procedure there. The research was made via questionnaire investigations. Questions were focused on people{\crq}s opinions which are related to inadaptable citizens and extremism. There were also some questions which were focused on activities of those parties in the above mentioned fields, regarding the inadaptable citizens and extremism, which have their members in the Parliament of the Czech Republic. In the Practical part of the thesis the author also evaluates the observed results in light of respondents{\crq} achieved level of education. In the Discussion of the thesis the author compares the observed data with the knowledge of experts. He also focuses on divergent opinions of asked respondents, in connection with their achieved level of education. The thesis and the observed results could be used by general public interested in extremism in the Czech Republic. Besides, the thesis and the observed results could be used as a source of information to improve general knowledge about the scene of extremism and about the problems pertaining to the scene in the Czech Republic.

The thesis deals with the abolitionist movement in the United States of America and approaches it as an internally disunited movement. It focuses on the conflicts between its most influential representatives, including William Lloyd Garrison and Frederick Douglass. Different motives of the anti-slavery leaders' involvement in the matter are analyzed and used to explain the arguments among these. Attention is given to the problem of racial oppression as one of the main forces having determined not only the development of the abolitionist movement but also the events following the 1865 Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, mostly the rise of the Black nationalism movement and of black racism. Even though many abolitionists saw slavery as based on racism and, therefore, endeavored to reach its abolition, in practice, many of them refused to acknowledge racial equality between white and African American people. This paradox is one of the central problems of American abolitionism examined in the thesis. (in English): The Master thesis depicts a concept of interpersonal relationships in a novel Cecilia Valdés by the Cuban writer Cirilo Villaverde. It describes author's life and circumstances which accompanied the origin of the novel. The thesis introduces a plot of the novel, analyses the main characters and their role in the novel. It deals with a theme of the novel as a genre in general and informs about Indian and Costumbrism novel as well. It follows historic events in Cuba at the time when the novel was issued. Knowledge of the historic events is necessary for comprehension of the novel in its broader sense. The thesis examines Cecilia Valdés from the point of a concept of interpersonal relationships, deals with relationships among black people, mulattoes and white people. It analyses a relationship between the main characters which is greatly influenced by different racial origin. The topic of slavery is introduced in connection with a plot of the novel. The diploma thesis Totalitarian tendencies of German colonial policies deals with German colonial policies towards Africans in the period between 1884-1914. The main focus is placed on the characteristics and analysis of German native policy in the most important of German colonies - German South West Africa. This piece attempts to pinpoint the relationship between the colonizers and the colonized, to illustrate the racist prejudice of the Germans and to describe the impact of these ideas on the colonial reality. Furthermore, this work reflects upon the Herero war, with particular interest being paid to the German war strategy, and tries to identify the reasons behind its radicalization as well as to resolve the query concerning the genocidal intent. The totalitarianism section of this thesis explores the totalitarian aspects of German native policy in German South West Africa and their development following the Herero war. A comparison of German colonial policies towards the natives with colonial policies of the other major powers active on the African continent follows. The final chapter endeavours to answer the question regarding the continuity of German history and continuity between German colonialism and National Socialism.

This thesis deals with the development of tourism on the island of Cuba from the beginning of the 20th century till the present time based on the travel books written by travellers who come mainly from the United States of America. Next, it analyzes tourism during the 20th century. It monitors Cuban tourism from the historic point of view, where it records the period of communist government, racism and similar problems till the present time. It mentions another, however not so representative part of tourism, sex tourism. It is trying to stress the positive aspects of places that represent the tourism in Cuba.

The diploma thesis "Discourse analysis of the "Sarrazin-Debatte": Analysis of the migration discourse in transregional daily newspaper in 2010"deals with the controversial "Sarrazin debate" and its impact on the migration discourse in 2010. After describing the process of the debate follows discourse analysis of four German transregional daily newspapers, which can be considered as representatives of a simple political spectrum from right to left wing. The goal of the analysis is to determine the thematic structure of the discourse and to define patterns of interpretation and statement of integration an immigrants.
