Influences and receptions of older and contemporary cartographic handworks in cartographic handworks of 16-18th century Abstract The master thesis deals with mutual inspiration and copying maps and map outputs among the authors of important cartographic works of the Czech lands from the period 1526-1720. The aim of the thesis is to draft and test a methodology for analyzing degree of similarity between two different old maps. Based on the results of analysis it will be possible to say whether one of the map is a complete or a partial copy of the other map. The main part of the thesis is devoted to the draft of the methodology that allows comparison of two different old maps showing approximately the same territory, originating from a similar period and having generally the same scale. The practical part of the thesis is focused on verification of the methodology based on the analysis of the oldest cartographic handworks of Moravia from the Map Collection of Charles University in Prague and another Moravian map collections. The aim of this thesis is to provide an insight into the translation of non-literary texts in social sciences from French into Czech, in terms of both cultural and social specificities, and in terms of language use. This paper defends the hypothesis that this type of translation presents unique characteristics compared to other kinds of translations, and that social science translations are currently under published. Sociology was chosen as a discipline representative of the social sciences. The first part presents an outline of the historical development of Czech sociology with regard to French influence. Underlying data was used to conduct a survey among the Czech professional sociological community to evaluate aspects of its linguistic orientation. The first part of this thesis also provides a brief overview of the production and reception of Czech translations of French sociology, with the ultimate aim to compare the "supply" of these translations to the "demand" for them and to highlight several of their specific problems and obstacles. This thesis is focused on ethical aspects of interaction between players and virtual computer game worlds, specifically on reception of situations where player faces possibility or necessity to make a moral choice that influences the future development of the game. The goal of this thesis is to find out how seriously players approach these decisions, whether they take their impact on the game world into account, what criteria they apply when deciding and what other influences affect their decisions. Another related theme is identification with the game avatar and its influence on moral decisions. This work is based on qualitative research realized with a group of five players of computer game Mass Effect 2. During the research they answered questions regarding their decisions in particular situations as well as their general approach to decisions in the game. The research is based on recent works on the related topics of game studies. Outcomes of the research are analysed by the grounded theory method. Using its procedures the answers are decomposed into basic concepts which are then put together again in mutual context. As a conclusion of the thesis the grounded theory formulated based on these analytical procedures is presented. Future thematically related research areas are also suggested.

During the last decade, Sweden has experienced an increase in number of immigrants. In the north of Sweden, Umeå is one of the municipalities with most constant increases. Their working situation is often related to businesses with lower thresholds and the hotel industry is one of these branches. The hotel market is at the same time rising which makes it of interest to describe the hotel industries attitude towards immigrants as working labor.   The aim of this study is to see how immigrants are treated by a service-based labor market in Sweden. This will be examined through semi- structured interviews with support from previous studies and theories. The respondents will be recruitment staffs from hotels in Umeå municipality and the interviews will focus on their point of view.   The results indicate what an immigrant is facing in the Swedish labor market and has been divided into four themes: part time workers labor market, treatment at the working place, cooperation and competence. The study also compares Sweden with England, as previous studies have shown that England has a large number of immigrants working in hotel business.

The thesis deals with the author's personality and the novels of Miloš Urban. The aim was to map their existing reception, especially with regard to the development and reflection of author's style and appearance of the narrator. With respect that this is the current author and his work is not yet reflected in a separate monographic material consisted the thesis primarily of review works, both published in the literature review journals and those published by the daily press. Work focused on confrontation the perspective of the reviewers and my own critical reading of the author's novels.

In Lettland kann kaum von einem großen Mozartkult im eigentlichen Sinne des Wortes gesprochen werden. Die betrifft vor allem die Vokalmusik etwas anders verhält es sich mit der Instrumentalmusik.

Wann Mozarts Musik Litauen erreicht hat, kann man nicht genau feststellen. Schon zu seinen Lebzeiten begann sich das öffentliche professionelle Musikleben in Litauen zu formieren. Die Hauptzentren der Musikaufführung waren die Kirche und die Schlösser der Aristokratie.

Die Geschichte der Mozartrezeption entwickelte sich - und ich meine nicht nur in Polen - in mehreren Phasen. Die erste war eine feen- und märchenhafte Phase, bei der vor allem Papageno Pate stand. Die nächste Phase ist die dämonische (oder bescheidener gesagt romantische), die im Zeichen von Don Juan stand. Sie hat bei uns fast ausschließlich das 19. Jahrhundert beherrscht. Gegen Ende des Jahrhunderts kommt eine neue Phase: Mozart im Rokokostil - Mozart als Autor vom Figaro und leichter Klaviersonaten.

In der Kürze des hier gegebenen Umfangs können wir uns nur mit den Hauptproblemen - wie wir sie sehen - beschäftigen. Vor allem zwei Aspekte treten deutlich hervor. Der erste trägt einen philosophisch-gnoseologischen Charakter und geht eigentlich weit über den Rahmen des Schaffens Mozarts hinaus. Der zweite ist unmittelbar mit der Ontologie und dem Dasein, genauer gesagt mit dem Vorhandensein der Mozartschen Musik in Rußland, mit ihrer Annahme durch die russischen Hörer verschiedener Epochen, mit der Interpretation, mit dem Einfluß auf diese oder jene Musiker, Komponisten, Interpreten usw. verbunden.

Die ersten Vorstellungen von Mozartwerken auf der Kiewer Bühne fanden in den 70er Jahren des 19. Jahrhunderts statt. Man fragt sich, wieso so spät? Dafür gab es natürlich objektive Gründe.
