Grafická reprezentace genomických a proteomických sekvencí / Graphical representation of DNA and protein sequences

Pražák, Ondřej January 2011 (has links)
Modification of DNA sequences and their suitable representation is important part of analysis, comparison and another processing. Goal of this paper is finding of suitable methods for representation of genomic and proteomic sequences. Because there is great number of metods, this paper will introduce only some of them. All selected methods, are described in the first part of this paper and they were programed in Matlab. Selected methods are illustrated on coding sequences of the first exon of the b-globin gene of 11 different species. Results are compared withresults from the original papers. Some methods are capable of another processing like cluster analysis. Output of this paper is comparison of results, gained from different methods, and finding the most suitable one.

Průnikové reprezentace grafů / Intersection representations of graphs

Töpfer, Martin January 2019 (has links)
This thesis is devoted to the outer and grounded string representations of graphs and their subclasses. A string representation of a graph is a set of strings (bounded continuous curves in a plane), where each string corresponds to one vertex of the graph. Two strings intersect each other if and only if the two corresponding vertices are adjacent in the original graph. An outer string graph is a graph with a string representation where strings are realized inside a disk and one endpoint of each string lies on the boundary of the disk. Similarly, in case of grounded string graphs the strings lie in a common half- plane with one endpoint of each string on the boundary of the half-plane. We give a summary of subclasses of grounded string graphs and proves several results about their mutual inclusions and separations. To prove those, we use an order-forcing lemma which can be used to force a particular order of the endpoints of the string on the boundary circle or boundary line. The second part of the thesis contains proof that recognition of outer string graphs is NP-hard. 1

Booleovské techniky v reprezentaci znalostí / Boolean techniques in Knowledge representation

Chromý, Miloš January 2020 (has links)
Title: Boolean techniques in Knowledge representation Author: Miloš Chromý Department: Department of Theoretical Computer Science and Mathematical Logic Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Ondřej Čepek, Ph.D., Department of Theoretical Com- puter Science and Mathematical Logic Abstract: In this thesis we will investigate switch-list representations of Boolean function and we will explore the biclique satisfiable formulas. Given a truth table representation of a Boolean function f the switch-list rep- resentation of f is a list of Boolean vectors from the truth table which have a different function value than the preceding Boolean vector in the truth table. We include this type of representation in the Knowledge Compilation Map [Dar- wiche and Marquis, 2002] and argue that switch-lists may in certain situations constitute a reasonable choice for a target language in knowledge compilation. First, we compare switch-list representations with a number of standard repre- sentations (such as CNF, DNF, and OBDD) with respect to their relative suc- cinctness. As a by-product of this analysis we also give a short proof of a long standing open question from [Darwiche and Marquis, 2002], namely the incom- parability of MODS (models) and PI (prime implicates) representations. Next, using the succinctness result between...

Komplexita klasifikačních problémů v ergodické teorii / Complexity of classification problems in ergodic theory

Vaněček, Ondřej January 2020 (has links)
In the thesis we acquaint ourselves with the terms from ergodic theory and re- presentation theory of topological groups. We pay attention particularly to terms unitary representation, realizability by an action, dual group, unitary equivalence and Kazhdan's property (T). We achieve a result regarding unitary representati- ons realizable by an action on finite abelian groups according to article [5] and show that it is possible to generalize it to all finite groups at the end of the thesis according to article [6]. A large part of the text subsequently deals with proper- ties of unitary representations and their relations. We connect the terms compact topological group and Kazhdan's property (T).

Konceptualizace prostoru v historické vědě / Conceptualization of Space in Historiography

Pýcha, Čeněk January 2014 (has links)
The main topic of this master thesis are the representation of space of northern Bohemia in the era of czechoslovakian state socialism. The aim of thesis is to approximate historical agents understanding of space. There is a Michel de Certeau's concept of space in the methodological background. De Certeau understands space like a set of places, which is designed by dynamic by social agents. For analysis I have chosen some social realms, where is strong connection to space (tourism, cultural heritage managment, school education, visual representation and sending postcards). The sources were designed by these social realms and the thesis is grounded on the case studies. At the end of thesis I have tried to apply Aleida Assmann's theory of paradigmatic change in the social concept of time. This change we can observate in the 80s and it occures also in space, because direct in space is made sense of time. Keywords: space, northern Bohemia, socialism, representation, historical agent

Návrh efektivní generické molekulární reprezentace / Návrh efektivní generické molekulární reprezentace

Škoda, Petr January 2014 (has links)
The screening of chemical libraries is an important step in the drug discovery process. The existing chemical libraries contain up to millions of compounds. As the screening at such scale is expensive, the virtual screening is often utilized. There exist several variants of virtual screening and ligand- based virtual screening is one of them. It utilizes the similarity of screened chemical compounds to known compounds. Besides the employed similarity measure, another aspect greatly influencing the performance of ligand-based virtual screening is the chosen chemical compound representation. In this thesis, we introduce a fragment-based representation of chemical compounds. Our representation utilizes fragments to represent a compound. Each fragment is represented by its physicochemical descriptors. The representation is highly parameterizable, especially in the area of physicochemical descriptors selection and application. In order to test the performance of our method, we utilized an existing framework for virtual screening benchmarking. The results show that our method is comparable to the best existing approaches and on some datasets it outperforms them.

Rozvíjení aktivity a tvořivosti ve vyučování tématu zlomek v 6. - 7. ročníku ZŠ / Developing activity and creativity in teaching fractions in grades 6 to 7

Svobodová, Lenka January 2014 (has links)
TITLE: Developing activity and creativity in teaching fractions in grades 6 to 7 AUTHOR: Bc. Lenka Svobodová DEPARTMENT: Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Education SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Marie Tichá, CSc. ABSTRACT: The thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part looks at the cognitive process of pupils and possible ways of their motivation during fractions teaching. Furthermore, it outlines causes of lack of understanding of fractions and re-education interventions. The empirical part is based on a qualitative research whose main objective was to determine how the pupils are able to solve fractions exercises independently and creatively and what mistakes they make. Various methods of data collection were used, such as interview with teachers on issues of fractions teaching in elementary schools, non- standardised test with fractions exercises and additional interview with the tested pupils. This part also describes the preparation of the research, the research itself and its results KEYWORDS: fractions, interpretations, representations, models, misunderstandings, mistakes, teaching approaches

Vytváření představ zlomku na 1. stupni ZŠ / Creating images of fraction at the elementary school

Siblíková, Marta January 2014 (has links)
This thesis "Creating images of fraction at the elementary school" is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines the subject matter of fractions in curriculum, deals with a mathematical literacy concept and introduces basic conceptions related to fractions and propaedeutic of fractions at the Primary School. The practical part consists of a preparatory research and a consequential research. The goal of the preparatory research is fractions knowledge mapping on Primary School pupils comparing to an expert knowledge acquired in the theoretical part. The consequential research focuses on confirming results of the preparatory research, respectively preferring the circle model off other models. It also checks if pupils get acquainted with other models (line segment, rectangle, and set of discrete objects). Key words Fraction, propaedeutic, models, representation, primary education, curricula.

Reprezentace protivníků v počítačových hrách žánru first-person shooter / Representation of opponents in first-person shooter video games

Štěpánek, Adam January 2015 (has links)
Work focuses on representation of opponents in first-person shooter video games. It aims to discover tools, which developers of video games use to choose specific enemies for their games and in which way they present them. First-person shooters are used for this purposes because players have closest visual contact with opponents in this genre. The aim of this work is to describe most typical opponents in video games and to find out why this exact enemies are usualyy the most portrayed. Special attention is paid to video games which used original attitude for creating enemies. Work than focuses on most frequent stereotypes in opponents presentation, mostly racial and national, which are used by developers and what function they have. Than it gives room for critics of such stereotypes and tries to estimate if these critics can result in some changes in the future. Video games which created controversy by representation of specific enemies are subject of next topic. These games often put players in position of moral dilemma. On the base of research from literature and analysis of video games this work focuses on main reasons of representation of concrete enemies and what emotional impact it can have on players.

Formy reprezentací československých historiků 1. poloviny 20. století. Václav Chaloupecký (1882 - 1951), Fridolín Macháček (1884 - 1954), Josef Pešek (1878 - 1958) / Forms of representations of czechoslovakian historians in first half of twentieth century. Václav Chaloupecký (1882 - 1951), Fridolín Macháček (1884 - 1954), Josef Pešek (1878 - 1958)

Sixta, Václav January 2014 (has links)
The thesis is dealing with the term "representation of historian" on the example of czechoslovakian historiography of the first half of twentieth century. For understanding of this work is important the context of my bachelor thesis, which dealed with the same problem using quantitative approaches on Kulturní adresář (Culture adressary) written by Antonín Dolenský. This thesis is an antropologization of the same issue in the meaning og underscoring the multiplicity of representations and its independence on the macroperspective of usual interpretations of czechoslovakian historiography. This perspective is enabled by choosen sources, which are texts of three historians - schoolmates, who studied together field of study history - geography on the Faculty of arts of Charles university. But their careers had differnt ways. Fridolín Macháček was during his whole professional life connected with Plzeň and its archive, Josef Pešek was teacher on high school in Prague (Akademické gymnázium) and historian of east bohemia and last but not least Václav Chaloupecký archivist in Roudnice nad Labem, professor of czekoslovakian history at university in Bratislava and than in Prague. The advantage of these sources is possibility to focus on the term "representation of historian" like a result of process of...
