Relatar com breve revisão bibliográfica o histórico dos processos de revitalização nos centros urbanos e a sua denominação como gentrificação, aprofundando-se na cidade de Porto Alegre ao identificar os processos mais marcantes nesta área, propondo ações da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul para maior interação entre as ações da Universidade e dos gestores da cidade. Para tanto, foram descritos exemplos de alguns processos em grandes centros, até o foco principal deste trabalho, que se encontra encontra-se na área central de Porto Alegre e no traçar de paralelo com as ações de revitalização da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Este trabalho foi dividido em três capítulos: o primeiro, intitulado “Gentrificação: sua concretização ao longo das últimas décadas como tendência e fonte de planejamento urbano nas grandes cidades no mundo e no Brasil”, no qual foram descritos exemplos deste processo em alguns grandes centros mundiais e no Brasil, enumerando os processos mais recentes e em fase de planejamento ou execução classificados pelos poderes públicos envolvidos como fonte de revitalização de seus espaços, notadamente em sua área central. O segundo capítulo, intitulado “A origem, crescimento e algumas das atuais ações de revitalização da cidade de Porto Alegre”, narra a história da formação e crescimento da cidade de Porto Alegre e descreve as principais ações de revitalização executadas e em fase de execução na área central da cidade. Já o terceiro capítulo, intitulado “A distribuição geográfica dos prédios históricos da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul e o projeto Resgate do Patrimônio Histórico e Cultural da UFRGS: histórico e perspectivas”, descreve o projeto de resgate do patrimônio histórico da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul e a revitalização de seus prédios a partir de 1999, procurando demonstrar que o ensino, a pesquisa e extensão proporcionados pela instituição podem aliar-se de forma mais dinâmica nos processos em andamento e futuros da cidade aos gestores públicos, contribuindo com o saber de seus mestres, doutores e pesquisadores, para o planejamento e execução das ações de revitalização de forma a “humaniza-las”, sem prejuízos para a busca de uma economia dinamizada, bem como oferecendo ferramentas em métodos de estudos, trabalhos e pesquisas de seus alunos de maneira ativamente participativa no desenvolvimento saudável da cidade de Porto Alegre. / Report with brief literature review the history of the revitalization process in urban centers and its name as gentrification, deepening the city of Porto Alegre to identify the most significant processes in this area, proposing actions of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul to most interaction between the actions of the University and the city managers. To do so, they were described examples of some processes in large centers to the main focus of this work, which is in the central area of Porto Alegre and draw a parallel with the revitalization actions of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. This work was divided into three chapters: the first, entitled "Gentrification: its implementation over the past decades as a trend and source of urban planning in big cities in the world and in Brazil," in which were described examples of this process in some major world centers and in Brazil, listing the latest processes and in the planning stages or execution classified by the public authorities involved as a source of revitalization of its spaces, particularly in its central area. The second chapter, entitled "The origin, growth and some of the current actions of revitalization of the city of Porto Alegre", tells the story of the formation and growth of the city of Porto Alegre and describes the major revitalization actions taken and being implemented in central area of the city. The third chapter, entitled "The geographical distribution of the historic buildings of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and the project rescue of the Historical and Cultural Patrimony of UFRGS: history and prospects," says the bailout bill the heritage of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and the revitalization of its buildings since 1999, trying to demonstrate that teaching, research and extension provided by the institution can ally itself more dynamically in the processes ongoing and future city public managers, contributing the knowledge of their masters, doctors and researchers for the planning and execution of revitalization actions in order to "humanize" them, without harming the search for a streamlined economy and providing tools to study methods, work and research their students to actively participatory manner in the healthy development of the city of Porto Alegre.

A pesquisa apresenta o estudo de caso da revitalização urbana do desativado Puerto Madero, em Buenos Aires. A reciclagem de antigos espaços portuários deteriorados consiste em um dos principais temas do urbanismo contemporâneo. Devido à atualidade do assunto, o estudo do projeto e da realização de Puerto Madero representa uma experiência referencial para outras cidades em situação semelhante - como Porto Alegre, onde foi desenvolvido o trabalho -, uma vez que cria um precedente exemplar de uma operação efetivada em um contexto latino-americano, no decorrer de um período relativamente curto. Embora a primeira parte do trabalho seja voltada ao conhecimento histórico do porto de Buenos Aires e da sua evolução urbana até os dias atuais, o foco do estudo centra-se na analise do projeto realizado, não só do ponto de vista urbano, como também arqui-tetônico. O estudo do projeto é segmentado em quatro partes, corres-pondentes aos diques do porto, em que se destaca a diversidade dos exemplares existentes na área. Por fim, elegeu-se um determinado número de tipologias representativas, das quais foram examinadas as suas qualidades projetuais. A elaboração de um amplo panorama da operação Puerto Madero possibilitou seu entendimento no contexto metropolitano, histórico, urbano e arquitetônico. / The investigation presents a case study on the urban revitalization of the deactivated Puerto Madero, in Buenos Aires. Recycling deteriorated old portuary places is one of the principals contemporary urbanism themes. As a contemporary issue, the study of Puerto Madero´s project and revitalization represents a referential experience to other cities at similar situation – such as Porto Alegre, where this work was developed-, once it creates an exemplar precedent context, during a relatively short period. Although the first part of the investigation was oriented to the Buenos Aires port’s historical knowledge and its urban evolution until the present days, the investigation’s focus is centered in the analysis of the executed project , not only by the urban point of view, but also the architectural. The project’s studies is segmented in four parts, correspondent to the docks ports, which stand out the diversity of existing exemplars in the area. Finally, a determined number of representative typologies were chosen, being their projectual’s qualities evaluated. The elaboration of a vast panorama of Puerto Madero´s operation allows the understanding of it metropolitan, historical, urban and architectural context.

The aim of this thesis is to make a survey of vegetation present on permanent plots in the restored flood plain of the Hučina stream. Another a im is to compare the results with the results of Lazárková (2012), who studied the area before the restoration. The thesis includes also a herbarium and photo-herbarium demonstrating traits of the plant species. The study was conducted on 26 permanent plots laid on three transects. Permanent plots occurred in grasslandareas, in a woodyareas and the streambed. I created a list of all plant species and their abundances on each plot, separately for the moss, herb, bush and tree layers. . Overall, 48 plant species were found.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the success of woody plantings carried out in order to revitalize small streams. For selected restorations was assessed dendrological composition, establishment, health and care after planting. The most common species planted in the revitalization of small streams is the alder (Alnus glutinosa), a pioneer tree species reinforcing shores, to which it was coupled with flowing water home. Sometimes forming groups with gray alder (Alnus incana) but that does not fit stagnant water and silver birch (Betula pendula). Also mountain elm (Ulmus glabra) and willow species (Salix sp.) are widely planted along streams. Locally, there were planted common ash (Fraxinus excelsior) but mostly in very poor condition, and oak (Quercus robur), sporadically rowan (Sorbus aucuparia), dogwood (Swida sanquinea) and Norway maple (Acer platanoides). A statistical evaluation shows that the biggest influence on species composition and state of health of trees has the revitalization age. Also important is the care of the vegetation in later years after planting.

The revitalization plan was made for Kubňů Černá pond in Třeboň basin, Czech Republic. The detailed field survey concentrated on evaluation of ponds current state and the functioning of the drain and the spillway protective dick. Based on field survey, the revitalization was divided into three steps that dealed with retention capacity improvement, facilities renovation, dam renovation and ecosystem stability improvement. The revitalization program would be supported by Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic due to high financial demands.

This thesis is focused on issues of a real, military and industrial brownfield. There is explained the term ''brownfield'' in the first part of this thesis and then there are described types, classifications, methods of mapping, opportunities of revitalization and their financing. The second part is focused on a real, industrial and military brownfield in the South-Bohemian region, his history and a potential utilization in the years to come.

This thesis deals with the evaluation of options for the revitalisation of brownfields. Goal of the thesis is to propose a conceptual project for the revitalisation of brownfield object for use in tourism, based on the analysis of conditions for the use of brown-field in the Czech Republic . For ideological project was selected a former brewery in Plavnice in the Kamenný Újezd. At the proposal part of this thesis is compiled its revitalisation by using it as a microbrewery, restaurant or accommodation facility.

This thesis deals with the problems associated with the revitalization of watercourses. For a processing of study watercourse revitalization was selected basin of Dobechov stream. The proposal of the measures should contribute to the improvement of the water regime and ecological stability in the area. The work contains theoretical and practical part. In theory, the reader finds the concepts associated with the adjustment of watercourses and revitalization measures, where they are individually described. In the practical part is characterized the area of interest with the proposal for the revitalization of the watercourse. Finally, it evaluated the current status of stream and benefits of the proposed measures. Part of the work is also a list of literature which was used, photographs of the area of interest and map outputs.

This thesis deals with the problems associated with the revitalization of small water reservoirs. These water tanks are important landscape elements that have a significant impact on maintaining or increasing species diversity of the entire area. The thesis contains theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part the reader will find the definition, classification, history, but also the typical elements description of small water reservoirs. The practical part contains a specific design example of revitalization of a small reservoir, The Gypsy pond in the cadastral region of Zahrádka by Mirkovice.

This master thesis focuses on the issue of specific agricultural and military brownfields.In the first section, the term 'brownfield' and other related terms are explained. Furthermore, the thesis describes the classification of brownfields, the reasons leading to their creation, the involvement of brownfields in the urban planning process, what are the possibilities of obtaining grants for brownfields, and the occurrence of brownfields in the South Bohemian Region. The practical part is focused on specific agricultural and military brownfields in the South Bohemain Region. It describes the characteristics of selected brownfields, possibilities of their future use, and an evaluation of financial costs of revitalization with the use of subsidies.
