A Study To Determine The Cement Slurry Behaviour To Prevent Fluid Migration

Karakaya, Guray 01 December 2010 (has links) (PDF)
Fluid migration behind the cased holes is an important problem for oil and gas industry both considering short terms and long terms after cementing operation. For many reasons like high formation pressures, high shrinkage rate of cement slurry while setting, lack of mechanical seal, channeling due to cement slurry setting profile, hydrocarbon migration may occur and lead expensive recompletion operations and sometimes abandonment. Solutions to this problem vary including high density-low fluid loss cement slurry or right angle cement setting profile. During this study, the effect of &ldquo / free water&rdquo / which is the basic quality property of API G class cement, on fluid migration potential has been tested for different samples and in combination with different physical conditions. For this study API G class cements have been used. In order to justify the quality of each cement sample standard API G class quality tests were conducted. Moreover, as a main instrument &ldquo / Static Gel Strength Analyzer&rdquo / is used to measure the static gel strength of cement slurry and how long it takes to complete transition time. Bolu cement, Nuh cement, and Mix G cement samples were tested according to their free fluid values which are %2.5, %5, %3.12 respectively, and it is found that the Bolu cement with lowest free fluid content has the lowest potential for fluid migration. As a conclusion, fluid migration through behind the cased hole is a major threat for the life of the well. Appropriate cement slurry system may easily defeat this threat and lead cost saving well plans. Key words: Fluid migration, fluid loss, transition time, channeling, right angle, API G class cement, free water, high formation pressure

L'horizon et la colonne, réflexions sur la relation intérieur-extérieur chez Le Corbusier

Nieto, Monica 12 1900 (has links)
This work explores the interior-exterior relationships as defined by Le Corbusier, questioning the way in which he incorporates the idea of spatial interpenetration - a major postulate of modern architecture -. By studying sketches, photographs, and notes taken during his Voyage d’Orient, as well as certain architectural notions put forward in his emblematic theoretical works from the 1920’s, we will discover in Le Corbusier a thought that goes beyond the architectural object, revealing a special interest towards the place and the horizontal-vertical dialectics. Some architectural devices like the colonnade and the column will be seen through the master’s point of view –when placed at the transition between the inside and the outside-to bear a mediating role between man and his environment, using the right angel as a measuring tool. This research intends to contribute to the understanding of Le Corbusier’s architectural thoughts, in particular with regards to the relation between architecture and landscape as a phenomenal experience.

Svoboda, Ondřej January 2014 (has links)
This thesis deals with design of right-angled elongated milling head for horizontal boring machine of FERMAT production. The thesis includes a detailed research of milling heads, a description of the head´s basic components and certain commercially available head´s comparison. Design part is describe components description and the design. Calculations are focused on determinating of forces generated during machining, setting of loading spectrum and the power load calculating individual gears during machining. In the next part is calculation of the reactions in the spindle bearings included, the equivalent load and durability of spindle bearings, spindle deformation and spindle bearings optimum distance. The thesis also includes spindle strength calculation, horizontal and vertical shafts analysis, gears design with helical teeth and gear strength. The thesis describes the design of extended milling head and particular design nodes which is supplemented by the 3D model. In this thesis is also included a drawing of assembly and components.

Geometrické pojmy kolmost a rovnoběžnost ve 4. a 5. ročníku ZŠ / Geometrical concepts of perpendicularity and parallelism in 4th and 5th grade of primary school

Kopecká, Alena January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on pupils attending 4th and 5th grade in primary school. These children are observed for their knowledge of perpendicularity and parallelism and their ability to use it in practice. The theoretical part describes two geometrical terms - perpendicularity and parallelism. Other chapters describe different theories of learning, the process of knowledge construction and also the stages of language development in geometry. Furthermore the thesis explores the topic in state curriculum documents. The geometrical terms and their occurance, frequency and preparative tasks are searched in different textbooks. The practical part includes experiments based on qualitative research. The survey is conducted through a worksheet with different types of tasks which were chosen to test the participants' knowledge of above-mentioned terms. These experiments were recorded and analyzed by means of phenomena that appeared. The phenomena allowed me to answer the questions that were posed in the beginning of the research. Key words: perpendicularity, parallelism, preparative tasks, depth of knowledge, experiment
