This Diploma Thesis is about Internal Audit in Multinational Corporations in Energy Industry. The goal of this Diploma Thesis is to introduce Internal Audit in chosen Multinational Corporations. In each company is introduced emplacement of Internal Audit, process of Internal Audit and planning process of Internal Audit. Diploma Thesis also explores corrective actions, follow-up audits and fraud prevention program.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate present experiences with enterprise risk management implementation and to provide potential solutions for futher risk management development. It also includes minor aims clarifying often falses, which are done by companies. At the beginning of the thesis there are presented common principles with qualitative and quantitative methods. Then the implemenation part is following where methods and conditions of enterprise risk management are described. For succesful system implementation is then described risk culture, where corporate governance is firstly mentioned. A diference among risk management and enterprise risk management is shown in a next chapter compiling financial management and risk management. Own Solvency II experiences, RVA concept, risk management deficiencies and transition from risk measurement to risk management are closing the thesis. The conclusion of the thesis only summarises aims' fulfillment and said hypotheses are confirmed. Enterprise risk management has to be based on common risk management acceptation as a mainstream of the company that has to be fully supported by risk management department.

This thesis deals with Risk Management within large projects. It is still a hot topic, because risk is an inherent part of any project and significantly affects its outcome. That is why it is paied more and more attention to Project Risk Management. This thesis is written in collaboration with a renowned multinational IT company delivering these large projects. One of the project factors is uniqueness. Conditions in the world are rapidly changing and companies are trying to gain a competitive advantage in their own IT. Uniqueness is obviously very important factor of IT innovation and that is the reason, why many companies implement their changes as a project. These projects must be directed to a succesfull outcome, therefore many methodologies was created to manage it. Current project are under greater pressure on the duration and cost of supply while maintaining high quality, which in practice means that to deliver successful projects is becoming increasingly difficult. Therefore, there should be greater emphasis on risk management, so an event that may threaten the success of the project. It is needed to learn and look for better and more efficient ways of Risk Management. The main scope of this thesis is to compare two project management methodologies (Prince 2 and RUP -- Rational Unified Process) with internal methodology of chosen IT company from the perspective of risk management and then to compare the project practices with the methodologies, to find any anomalies or errors and provide suggestions for improvement. Another objective is to find out and describe project risk management trends, and introduce some tools to support project risk management.

As the theme of my Master's Thesis I choose the topic of health and safety risk analysis. The reason is that in every company are risks that threated the safety and health of workers. The aim of Master's Thesis is to analyze the risks OSH management system in selected company. The Master's Thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical an practical one. In the theoretical part I at first briefly outline the issuer of safety and health at work and then I proceed to a summary and characteristics of the most important current legal of the Czech Republic in the field of occupational safety and health at work. Another important part of the theoretical part is devoted to the management of occupational health and safety risks and methods designed to identify and assess risks. The practical part will be devoted to identifying and assessing risks and then determine measures to ensure the safety and health of works at Valeo Výměníky tepla k.s..

Crisis management is a dynamic science. This is particularly true for developing world countries like Kenya. The aim of this work is to contribute to the prevention or minimization of risks and possibly to manage their consequences within the project of the Czech medical facility Itibo in the southwestern part of Kenya. This facility, thanks to a group of enthusiasts and support of many people, helped tens of thousands of patients since 2005 who would otherwise not have access to health care. In the framework of the thesis, a risk analysis was elaborated based on a local survey, which was subsequently evaluated, and its results used to create a "Plan of preparedness for emergencies." The plan is a practically applicable tool for managing non-standard situations that occur relatively frequently in the project site. An essential part was the active involvement of the author in the actual functioning of the Itibo healthcare facility in the form of an internship. The main benefit of the work is a plan intended for health-educated persons, who mostly do not have knowledge in the field of crisis management. The benefit is also an insight into the issue of crisis management in the area of health care in another country, which is very different in most of its parameters.

This final thesis is regarding the creating and evaluation of the business plan of private nursery school. The theoretical part is about small and medium-sized enterprises and business plan itself. Practical part contains concrete business plan. Crucial parts of the business plan are: analysis of the environment, marketing mix, financial plan, risk analysis.

The thesis is focused on OSH in the selected organization. Its aim is to analyze the situation and propose measures to eliminate undesirable differences. This thesis consists of theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part explains all the used methods and procedures (such as simple point method, PDCA and checklist from the Bezpečný podnik application). The objectives of the work have been met, the analysis found variations that have been thoroughly addressed. The main variations were insufficient address risks, lack of basic documents and OSH training. All risks were analyzed using simple point method and the most serious risks were further conducted. The missing documents were created and the structure for OSH training was created too, as well as all necessary documents. These measures have therefore covered all the important shortcomings of the organization.

In last few years Value-at-Risk (Var) is a very popular and frequently used risk measure. Risk measure VaR is used in most of the financial institutions. VaR is popular thanks to its simple interpretation and simple valuation. Valuation of VaR is a problem if we assume a few dependent risks. So VaR is estimated in a practice. In presented thesis we study theory of stochastic bounding. Using this theory we obtain bounds for VaR of sum a few dependent risks. In next part of presented thesis we show how we can generalize obtained bounds by theory of copulae. Then we show numerical algorithm, which we can use to evaluate bounds, when exact analytical evaluate isn't possible. In a final part of presented thesis we show our results on practical examples.

<p>U doktorskoj disertaciji su istraženi problemi katastrofalnih &scaron;teta, upravljanja njima u uslovima klimatskih promena i uticaja klimatskih promena na delatnost osiguranja. U cilju ispitivanja povezanosti klimatskih promena i &scaron;teta u osiguranju napravljen je regresioni model koji karakteri&scaron;e tu vezu.Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju da klimatske promene imaju snažan uticaj na povećanje svih hazarda povezanih sa vremenskim prilikama, &scaron;to ima negativan uticaj na raspoložive kapacitete i uspe&scaron;nost poslovanja sektora osiguranja. Transfer rizika i saradnja sa javnim sektorom neophodni su u cilju održivog finasiranja posledica klimatskih promena.</p> / <p>In the doctoral dissertation problems of catastrophic losses, their management under climate changes and the impact of climate changes on insurance industry are explained in detail. With the aim of investigation the link between climate changes and insurance lossses we use regression model. The research results indicate that climate changes have strong impact on the increase of all hazards connected with weather conditions and that increase have negative impact on available capacities and business success of insurance industry. Risk transfer and cooperation with public sector is necessary for financing of losses of climate changes but insurance industry can play an important role in prevention of future losses.</p>
