Design of Rotary Tables Using Roller Gear Cam Mechanisms

Tsai, Payee 27 May 2000 (has links)
Rotary tables are generally regarded as the forth axis of machining tools. Traditionally, gear sets are used as reducers in the rotary tables. In order to improve the positioning accuracy, load and efficiency of rotary tables, a rotary table which applies the roller gear cam reducer is proposed. From the deduction of the theory, applications of roller gear cam reducers in the industries can be achieved. This thesis is focused on developing the procedure as follows: Firstly, the type of roller gear cam reducer and design parameters are identified. Secondly, the mechanical characteristics of the device are analyzed. Finally, a rotary table is designed and implemented to investigate the performance of the of the roller gear cam rotary table.

Konstrukční návrh otočného stolu s nosností 65 000 kilogramů / Design of rotary table with maximal load capacity 65 000 kg

Bezděk, Petr January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a rotary table for machining large non-rotary workpieces up to a maximum weight of 65 000 kg. The aim of the work is to analyze and evaluate the current state of knowledge in the field of rotary tables, to create a table design according to the assignment and its 3D model with part of the drawing documentation. The theoretical part of the work searches for solutions used in the construction of rotary tables in the category of table according to the assignment. The information obtained is further used in the design of rotary table solution variants. By evaluating the weight of the required properties and their degree of fulfillment, a variant of the design solution of the table is selected, which is then designed. The individual design steps are described and explained in the text part of the work accompanied by pictures and calculations. The result of the process is a structural design of the mechanical part of the rotary table with a 3D model and partially processed drawing documentation. The contribution of the work is the summarization of relevant information for the design of rotary tables, the processed procedure of solving the design of the table and the modeled design of the rotary table. These outputs can be further treated as documentation for the production of the designed table, the development of the rotary table design to deeper details or technical development in this area.

3D-Bodycanning: A market research based approach for rotary table selection

Schack, Tobias, Böös, Ludvig January 2017 (has links)
This report provides a recommendation for the purchase of a rotary table intendedmainly for 3D body scanning. This recommendation is presented to FabLab,Halmstad University. The proposal is based on the needs and requirements discussed and defined among group members, clients and other stakeholders. The main requirement is that the product can be programmed and controlled by acomputer. This requirement was strengthened through the execution of a pairwise comparison. A broad market research is described and methods that have been used to achieve the results. In order to better understand how much the load will affect the product, a force measurement test was performed and analyzed. Earlier reports about reverse engineering, different applications and scanning techniques provide a deeper understanding of factors that may affect the selection of the product.

Dvousouřadnicový NC stůl pro frézovací centra s hydraulickým upínačem / The two-coordinate numerical controlled table for milling center with hydraulic clamp

Nešpor, Vít January 2013 (has links)
This thesis deals with theoretical design of NC rotary tilting table for Kovosvit MAS milling machine MCV 754 - QUICK. In the beginning of this paper is made a research with focus to rotary tilting tables, paletizing technologies and rotary suppliers of energy. The main part concerns with loading analysis of rotary tilting table, proposal of motion drives, bearings and the frame of desired machine. For motion drive of each axis is chosen torque motor. Constructional solution of pressed air supply to the middle boring of face plate is realized by a rotary union. The next point of solution is arrangement of moving supply electrical and pneumatic energy to the frame of tilting axis. The last part is concerned to proposal of realizing of changing tchnological pallets by the Zero-point systems. In the end the economical analysis is made.

Konstrukce multifunkčního obráběcího centra / Design of multi-functional machining centre

Neumann, Ondřej January 2013 (has links)
Design of multi-functional machining center The purpose of this diploma thesis is a design of turning table for multi-functional machining center. The first part is the background research of multi-functional machining centers, rotary tables, chip management and brief overview of chosen machining center’s manufacturers. The sphere of using of the designed machine, including parameters of turning table, and its basic parameters are determined on the basis of this research. Afterwards, the variants of turning table drives are drawn up and one variant of calculation and construction is made. Design of clamping desk and chip management of the machine is also made. Above a specified framework of this thesis, simplified machine foundation design and anchoring of machine parts to this basis is performed. The work also includes a 3D model of turning table and substructure. The complete set of constructed machining center was brought into immersion virtual reality environment.
