Český rozhlas Dvojka - budování kontaktu s posluchači / Czech Radio Dvojka - building contact with the audience

Ježek, Michal January 2019 (has links)
The master's thesis Czech Radio Dvojka - building contact with the audience analyses the instruments, which is this station used to address listeners, respectively the recipients of media content. The thesis is based on the theoretical framework which is postulated by the sociologist John B. Thompson in the book The Media and Modernity, on his triad of interactions, which characterizes the effect of communication media. Whereas the first type "mediated quasi- interaction" characterizes unidirectional transmission of the radio station to a listener, the other two types - "mediated interaction" and "face to face interaction" characterize ways how the medium could overcome this unidirectional communication. Therefore this master's thesis analyses the selected programs of the station Czech Radio Dvojka, which represent these mentioned types. Thereafter the qualitative analysis analyses especially the instruments of moderators with use of the triple coding's type (open coding, axial coding, selective coding), because the moderators represent the station and substantially determine its communicative style. The master's thesis wants to verify the premise that the moderators significantly contribute to creating of impression, that the communication between the radio station (the media house) and listeners...

Politické vlivy působící na československý Radiojournal v období druhé republiky / Political influences on Czechoslovak Radiojournal between September 1938 and March 1939

Veverka, Luboš January 2011 (has links)
In the present work we strive to describe those political phenomena which influenced, directly or indirectly, Radiojournal Ltd., the only radio broadcaster in Czechoslovakia during 1923 - 1939. However, it is the period of the so-called 'second republic' that can be approximately set between the conclusion of the Munich Pact at the end of September 1938 and the occupation of the rest of Czechoslovakia on 15th March 1939, which is in the centre of our attention. At that time, the system of politics, power and social situation underwent a reconstitution marked above all by centralising efforts hand in hand with the suppression of liberal and democratic principles. Sometimes we talk about the so-called 'authoritative democracy'. Radiojournal could not escape these changes. Formally, it was a private company with 51 % of shares owned by the state. And civil servants or politicians themselves were members of the managing and supervisory bodies of this institution ever since 1925. This situation was maintained also during the 'second republic' when the grip of the state became even stronger. In the new situation, proposals were made to nationalize the institution. However, a number of changes were not implemented after all due to the short duration of the 'second republic's' domain. Many of these...

Kanadská média: historie a současnost / Canadian media: history/genesis and present/contemporaneity

Vránová, Vendula January 2011 (has links)
The thesis is focused on key canadian media - print, radio and television, in the individulal chapters I'm trying to describe their development as it is during the formative years and influenced, and what role it plays in today's Canada and which one of them has a privileged position in the country. Before that I was trying to deal with the history of Canada to clarify the roots all Canadian journalism and the media occurred. I also give attention to some selected major Canadian media personalities, whether those from the past and the present, who are in some way involved on what is today Canadian journalism, or the form of it's today. My attention did not miss either: the French-Canadian journalism, which about their form and the place on the map of the Canadian media fought for centuries. Its center is the Canadian province of Quebec. In my work, I also discuss how journalism is taught at several Canadian universities, how much of them offers a learning program and how they teach it. Whether the emphasis is more on theory or more practical. I write also about media education, which has been several years in Canada's history. Last but not least, I tried to map the Czech track in the Canadian media and specifically designate some of expatriate media that readers can find in Canada.

Rozhlasový večerníček jako zrcadlo společensko-politických proměn v Československu ve "zlatých šedesátých" / Radio Bedtime Stories Mirroring Socio-political Changes in Czechoslovakia in the "Golden Sixties"

Dobešová, Lenka January 2021 (has links)
Radio Bedtime Stories Mirroring Socio-political Changes in Czechoslovakia in the "Golden Sixties" The aim of the work is a media analysis of Dobrou noc, děti (Good Night, Children) - a radio bedtime story series broadcast in the years 1961-1971. In addition to the origin and development of the programme, allusions to contemporary socio-political events, which were reflected in its content, are also examined. The dissertation deals with the changes in the radio programme and follows them from the beginning of socio-political changes in the 1960s until the beginning of the "normalization era". In this work, the radio bedtime story is also conceived from an anthropological perspective as a cultural phenomenon. The dissertation is formally divided into three parts-historical, empirical and interpretive. The focus of the historical chapter is a description of the development of radio in Czechoslovakia. The empirical part includes an analysis of the radio bedtime story in the years 1961-1971. The interpretive part deals mainly with how the radio bedtime story and its creators reacted to political anniversaries and Christian holidays in the period under review. At the end of the work, the programme is examined from an anthropological point of view as a cultural change.

Jak se dělá paměť ve veřejnoprávním rozhlase / Creating Memory in Public Broadcasting

Novotná, Petra January 2016 (has links)
In my diploma thesis I describe the process, in which some episodes of the radio program Příběhy 20. století are made and with this example I explain, which factors can influence remembering in a medium of the public sphere and how "lieux de mémoire" occur in its broadcasting. I examine the recording of some of the narratives that can possibly be presented in the radio program, how the interviewers handle the interviewees and what motivation do they have to work in a project like this. I focus on how the stories are picked for the radio program, how are they edited, who takes part in the editing and how is it possible that they are in charge of it. My diploma thesis also includes a detailed description of the social position of Post Bellum organisation and its fundamental project Paměť národa, which are both closely connected to radio program Příběhy 20. století. In the conclusion of my thesis I deal with the fact, that this social position is one of the main elements in the process of memory making in public sphere medium, because it has an indirect impact on it. In my thesis I try to answer, what influence can the examined radio program (as part of institutionalized remembering and media communication) have on social memory.

Rozhlas na rozcestí trhu a veřejného zájmu - politická ekonomie hudby na stanici Český rozhlas Radiožurnál / The political economy of czech public service radio broadcasting channel one music

Špina, Adam January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis researches music dramaturgy of Czech public service radio Channel One (Radiožurnál) and pursues the goal of exploring hidden relations of political economy influencing its shape. The dramaturgy itself had been long criticised from both the public and experts and finally led to a public workshop held by the institution governing the broadcaster at arm's distance - The Council of Czech Radio in December 2011. The diploma thesis investigates the field of traditional requirements imposed on public service broadcasters as well as the redefinition of public service broadcasting due to market liberalisation and rise of new media in digital environment. For further context, the structural function of music in different types of societies is discussed; attention is also paid to relation of music and public service radio and normative demands for broadcasted music. Music dramaturgy of Czech Radio Channel One is then compared to two commercial broadcasters (Impuls and Evropa 2) on which only limited legal regulations are imposed. The final research describes public discussion over the channel's music and verifies legitimacy of complaints (which included too frequent repetition of songs and artists, few songs of one artist in database only or obscolencence of broadcasted music not giving a lead to...
