Proměny Českého rozhlasu po nástupu Webu 2.0 / The Transformation of Czech Radio After the Introduction of Web 2.0

Tichá, Lucie January 2021 (has links)
The topic of this thesis is the Transformation of Czech Radio after the Introduction of Web 2.0. The research was carried out from the Czech Radio employees (working on both Prague or regional stations) point of view, who have had experience working at Czech Radio before and after the advent of Web 2.0. The subjects of the research questions were: adaptation of employees, the impact of changes on the content of broadcasting and ethical principles and finally, their general consequences on Czech Radio in the digital age. The answers to the presented questions were then explained in the practical part of the thesis by a qualitative research using the method of semi-structured interviews and the method of grounded theory for the subsequent analysis of the collected data. The analysis of the data shows that changes could not have taken place without the employees who set them in motion. Within the changes associated with the new communication environment of Web 2.0, feedback plays a important role. It affects Czech Radio employees who use it to influence changes in content, changes in its presentation and partly on its topics. The adaptation process differed at the level of positions. The position of web editors played an important role in the adaptation of other members.

Nedávná historie české sportovní žurnalistiky pohledem bývalých členů Klubu sportovních novinářů / Recent history of the Czech sports journalism from the perspective of former members of the Sports Journalists' Association

Rybář, Pavel January 2017 (has links)
The heart of this thesis consists of life stories narrated by former as well as current sports journalists and it focuses on sports journalism as a profession in political and social contexts. The first part gives an example of theories which deconstruct the myth of sport as an apolitical phenomenon. The second part reconstructs the history of public appearances of sport by examining attitudes, values and desires of interviewees. Using the snowball sampling technique -- recruitment of future subjects from among their acquaintances -- the researcher processes memories of eight interviewees whose information is classified into four main topics. Those include answers to under what conditions interviewees made a decision on their occupation, which sports they were concerned with, what reputation those sports had, what constraints they faced in their job, and what other unexpected roles their profession implies. As a whole, this text describe sports journalism as sine qua non for an outset of the tendency which began to grow during the 1950s in Czechoslovakia -- the attraction extending beyond the leisure activity and the top level sport gaining in popularity.

Vladimír Dvořák a Hlavní redakce zábavních pořadů Československé televize v letech 1968 - 1976 / Vladimír Dvořák and Czechoslovak TV's Entertainment Programms Department over 1968 - 1976

Hroncová, Alexandra January 2014 (has links)
(in English): Vladimír Dvořák (14 May, 1925 - 28 December, 1999) is mainly known to the public as the presenter of Televarieté, a TV entertainment programme, and older generations may also remember him as a music programme presenter and an author of lyrics to pop-music songs of the 1960s. However, this limited perception calls for a correction, as Vladimír Dvořáka was, without exaggeration, a universally talented man. As this text aims to show, Dvořák was strong in fine art and literary disciplines (wrote a number of librettos), as well as on the script-editing, programme presenting and acting sides, and all these artistic talents were sheltered with and maybe even shadowed by his organisational skills (completely unknown to the public) combined with enormous proactivity and high ambitions. During his presence at ČST Vladimír Dvořák created a TV entertainment development strategy that he worked on until his death. He was diplomatic and creative at the same time, and he introduced a number of very successful TV formats to feature many big names, at least those tolerated by the totalitarian regime. Vladimír Dvořák knew how to manoeuvre his way through the clearly demarcated world of communist TV broadcasting without having to make dirty compromises with the regime's officials. Moreover, although he...

Česká televize a Český rozhlas optikou modelu PSM: případová studie / Czech television and czech radio in the perspective of the PSM model: a case study

Obrovský, Petr January 2013 (has links)
The master thesis describes the development of Czech Television and Czech Radio be- tween 2005 and 2012, focusing on media policy, technology, content and attitude to the audience. It applies research output of the RIPE initiative as a theoretical basis for col- lection and interpretation of the data. RIPE, which links academia with media profes- sionals worldwide, aiming to redefine the public service remit for the 21st century, sug- gests that the political, economic, technological and social context has fundamentally changed in the last two or three decades. As a result, the original concept of public ser- vice broadcasting, established in Western Europe after the Second World War, has lost its legitimacy. It is therefore necessary for public service broadcasters (PSB) to trans- form into public service media (PSM). This means diversifying modes of distribution to new technologies besides traditional broadcasting, setting mechanisms of two-way and interactive communication with the audience, producing multimedia content exploitable on various platforms and clearly defining and justifying the value added of their offer- ings compared to those of commercial competitors. Using the method of case study, the thesis matches this conceptual framework with the situation in Czech Television and Czech...

Furthermore, international studies and their conclusions are presented, serving as a starting point for my own research. The second part presents the research methodology. The thesis makes use of a combination of a quantitative and qualitative approach, the so-called mixed research. The methodological section briefly describes the selected method - survey and an semi-structured interview. The next two sections deal with the implementation of the research itself. The sample consisted of 103 young people for the quantitative part of the survey, and 15 young people for the qualitative analysis section. The conclusion summarizes the research results and approaches each thematic area, including the possible hypotheses.

Mediální prezentace smrti a umírání a její vliv na utváření postoje ke smrti / The Presentation of Death and Dying in The Media and The Influence of The Presentation on The Process of Forming The Attitude towards Death

KADLECOVÁ, Hana January 2011 (has links)
The thesis deals with mass media and the way they treat the presentation of death and dying. Trying to find an answer to the question of whether mass media can have an impact on changing attitudes of contemporary human being to death and dying. The thesis is divided into nine parts. The first four sections form the theoretical framework and characterize today's postmodern society, typical features of contemporary human being ?s behavior, his/her perception of the world and themselfves, the influ nce of education, culture and beliefs. The thesis also deals with the position of mass media in postmodern society, and briefly describes current research on the influence of mass media on people. It mentions the most common dividing of mass media technologies into television, radio, print and the Internet. On this theoretical framework is consequently based the analysis of the presentation of death and dying in various types of media - this part of the thesis is more practically oriented and is complemented by a number of pictorial material. It tries to capture the most significant features of the presentation of death and dying on TV (news, film, advertising) and radio (news and some opinion programs), in the broadsheets and tabloids as well as on internet news, blogs and social networks and also in internet advertising. The thesis concludes that the current mass media are nearly oversaturated with the death and dy ng topic, making the viewer (reader, listener) apathetic and easily accustomed to continuously increasing greater violence. Death pictured by media is unnatural and often violent, in which significantly collides with the lived reality. Media cause devaluation of death and lower its importance, which causes declining empathy towards the diseased and dying as well as the absence of respect for the deceased.
