Literární a psychologická specifika pohádek jako žánru / Literary and psychological specifics of fairy tales as a genre

Šimotová, Eva January 2011 (has links)
My Diploma Thesis has a theoretical character. I dealt with fairy tales as a genre. I worked only with the folkloric fairy tales that are different from the modern ones in the way of universality. In the first part I looked for characteristic features of these stories from the literary and psychological point of view. I focused on time and place expression and how the fairy tale deals with the identity of characters and typical phenomenon of the good and the bad. Through these principles children can easily identify with the heroes of stories and therefore they help to solve specific developmental crisis and also to reach individual autonomy and integrity. For me, the theoretical basis was psychoanalysis and thus I followed the fairy tales theory of Bruno Bettelheim. I used this theory in the second part of my thesis as well. The interpretation of four fairy tales: Litte Red Riding-hood (Červená Karkulka), Jack an Jill (Perníková chaloupka), The Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Sněhurka) and Hrnečku, vař! are given. It is about the determination of the main topic and the interpretation of individual motives. Besides the different options how to interpret it I also compared the different versions of these stories. At the end I tried to have a critical view on Bettelheim's approach and also to find...

Výslovnostní redukce na úrovni slov ve spontánní řeči a identifikovatelnost řečových jednotek / Word-level pronunciation reduction in spotaneous speech and identification of speech units

Tomanová, Eliška January 2012 (has links)
The thesis deals with the issue of word-level pronunciation reductions and with the identification of reduced word forms. The first part of the thesis focuses on the degree of the phonetic features' stability and presents an analysis of selected words from dialogues with a high degree of spontaneity. The results of this research confirm that the most stable features of speech are the fricativness of sibilants and / /ř , voice, the formant structure of vowels and the nasality of the nasal consonant. The closure of the explosives and the quality of vowels prove, on the other hand, to be relatively unstable features. The second part of the thesis focuses on perceptual tests, which are used to verify the identifiability of the selected words in relation to the degree of reduction and the type and complexity of the context. Furthemore, the thesis tries to determine the phonetic features, which are under given conditions relevant for the appropriate identification of words. The research proved, that the most often noted phonetic features correspond to the above mentioned features with high stability. Moreover, it was also confirmed, that the recognizability of words depends on the degree of their reduction and the type of the context: strongly reduced words without any context tend to be very difficult...

Vybrané psychologické aspekty osobnosti umělce / Psychological Aspects of Artistic Personality

Ottová, Jana January 2011 (has links)
Background: The purpose of the master thesis was to explore connections among artistic cre- ation and some psychological aspects of the personality of artists. Apart from differences in creativity and psychopathology in theoretical part some characteristics of personality through the theories of personality are discussed. A sample of visual art university students and university of economics students (n=49) was tested on method GPOP, which in its core is based on the Jung's theory of psychological types. Conclusions: The results of incident research support the foreign studies results and indicate that artists score higher in "Intuition", "Perceiving" and "Feeling". Other high scores were measured in "Abstraction" and "Imagination" traits. In the last part of the study the obtained results are discussed. Keywords Art, Artists, Personal Traits, Creativity

Rozpoznávání výrazu tváře / Facial Expression Recognition

Král, Jiří Unknown Date (has links)
Many views to facial expression recognition exist. This work presents one of approaches. Existing methods of human face representation by model are discussed. The AAM method, where final appearance model is created from model of shape and model of texture is proposed. Model of shape and model of texture is created by statistic analysis. Using this representation, an effective method is achieved that is complexity of information for searched face in static image. Choice and combination of suitable features for classification of facial expression is principle for facial expression recognition based on AAM. Two approaches of facial expression classification are compared. Classification based on LDA and classification based on SVM. These methods with necessary face localization using AdaBoost form an automated face recognizer in image.

Sofistikované strategie maskování hlasu a jejich fonetická podoba / Sophisticated strategies of voice disguise and their phonetic character

Růžičková, Alžběta January 2018 (has links)
Speech contains certain attributes characteristic for a speaker, so-called idiosyncratic features. This thesis focuses on the form of these features in intentional voice disguise - whether speakers are able to change them in a substantial way, or if they tend to remain stable in spite of intentional speech modifications. It was also investigated whether any general tendencies to similar changes of such features under voice disguise exist among the speakers. The observed features were statistical f0 indicators, f0 contours, vowel formants, long- term formant distributions, spectral characteristics of sibilants, intensity, intensity contours, speech and articulation rate, %V and local articulation rate contours. In f0 median and standard deviation, vowel formants, LTFDs, intensity, articulation rate, and %V, prominent shifts under voice disguise were observed in general; in the majority of these parameters, the shifts differed among speakers. However it was found that the value of %V generally tends to rise under voice disguise. Also, intensity showed an increase in majority of cases. In f0 contours, similar patterns were observed among speakers in normal speech, however, in disguised speech, greater differences appeared among speakers; speakers tend to employ nonstandard dynamic f0 patterns more...

Literární dílo na pomezí romantismu a realismu / Literary work between romanticism and realism

Mikulová, Michaela January 2013 (has links)
Diploma thesis deals with detection of romantic and realistic components in three selected novels, traditionally placed on the border between romanticism and realism, and more closely examines if their ambiguity in terms of literary movement is from a contemporary point of view up-to-date and relevant, and what constitutes it. This main goal is preceded by the need to define the most complex concepts of literary romanticism and realism, including their specific characteristics, tendencies and distinct feautures. Particular analyses are developed according to a preselected warp whose individual items are universal aspects of a literary work such as subject matter, plot, narration, characters, space-time and language devices which are monitored, on the basis of conclusions rendered in a theoretical part of this thesis, for a particular degree of romantic and realistic heritage. Within each analysis we were able to decide which aspects of the work are fully or rather consistent with the principles of romanticism and which are conversely in accordance with realistic tradition. The subsequent summary analysis helped to answer the question whether the work as a whole is closer to romanticism or realism. Recognition of different forms of realationship between romantic and realistic principle that naturally...

Mediální obraz vybraných fotbalových klubů v sezoně 2010/2011 / Media Image of several football clubs during the season 2010/2011

Štěpánková, Iva January 2012 (has links)
A topic of this thesis addresses the media image of three football clubs as this was reflected in the Czech press within 2010/2011 season. The attention is paid to the press coverage of Sparta Praha, Manchester United and Dukla Praha. The specifics of their image are followed in three differently profiled Czech titles. Deník Sport represents the sport - focused newspaper, Mladá fronta Dnes stands for the most widely read Czech newspaper with a special regional sport section and Hospodářské noviny has been chosen because of their specifically economic profile where the sport section represents just a minor part of each issue. The term "media image" is linked to the signs of evaluation and expression of support for a particular team as it is mediated through the articles. This support is analysed through the structure of topics and through the use of subjective language. The aim is to point on how these teams were presented during the season and how their presence kept changing in the press within the time. The possible differences and overlapping are explained more into details. The term "media bias" is related to subjective reporting that stresses negativity or stardom on the contrary. The term is used to point out potential devotion from objective reporting. It is used to address possibly...
