Vyhledávání informací / Information Retrieval

Šabatka, Pavel January 2010 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is a summary of theoretical knowledge in the field of information retrieval. This document contains mathematical models that can be used for information retrieval algorithms, including how to rank them. There are also examined the specifics of image and text data. The practical part is then an implementation of the algorithm in video shots of the TRECVid 2009 dataset based on high-level features. The uniqueness of this algorithm is to use internet search engines to obtain terms similarity. The work contains a detailed description of the implemented algorithm including the process of tuning and conclusions of its testing.

Diskriminační analýza konceptů hédonické (subjective well-being) a eudaimonické (psychological well-being) osobní pohody / Discriminatory analysis of subjective well-being and psychological well-being concepts

Darániová, Lucie January 2019 (has links)
In this thesis we dealt with two important theoretical concepts of well-being - subjective (E. Diener) and psychological (C. Ryff). Previous work has demonstrated the conceptual identity of both constructs, but at the same time highlighted their interdependence. The aim of the work was to analyze both concepts of well-being on the basis of their relationship to selected psychological variables: self-esteem, personality traits, coping strategies and basic human values. The research sample consisted of 2368 university students of Masaryk's University in Brno. Using Pearson's correlations, we have described relationships of subjective (SWB) and psychological (PWB) well-being to the mentioned psychological variables. In many cases, correlations suggested similar relationships between SWB and PWB with the variable. We further tested these similarities by the test of the difference between two dependent correlations and found statistically significant differences in the relationships between both concepts of personal well-being and self-esteem, personality traits of extraversion and conscientiousness, coping strategies of active coping, behavioral disengagement, planning, denial, positive reframing, acceptance and self-blame. Moreover, we found statistically significant correlations of PWB with values...

Explozívy v češtině: temporální vlastnosti a variabilita při realizaci / Plosives in Czech: temporal characteristics and variability in realization

Šimek, Jaroslav January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to closely investigate and describe selected phonetic properties of Czech oral plosives [p t ť k b d ď g] in normal speech. The re- search focuses mostly on temporal characteristics in various contexts; moreover, we deal with the possible manners of plosive articulation in Czech, including non-canonical realizations. Another important part of the present study is a comparison with earlier studies. In the domain of temporal characteristics we examine the influence of various contexts on phone duration. The contexts include: phonetic context, speaker gender, the position of the plosive in the stress unit or articulation rate. We also examine a possible connection between the duration of the plosive and its realization. In the part that deals with the manner of articulation we focus on the individual phonetic properties, for which we investigate especially the conditions and degree of their stability. Furthermore we describe the specific plosive articulations in certain pho- netic contexts and some alternative realizations of certain plosives. The speech material used is mostly spontaneous. All the speakers are non- professionals from various TV broadcasts. Keywords: plosives, duration, phone segmentation, phonetic properties, pho- netic context, gender, articulation...

Analýza současných názorů na mutismus v odborné české i cizojazyčné literatuře / Analysis of current views of mutism in specialized Czech and foreign literature

Páleníková, Petra January 2015 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with mutism from the perspective of specialized czech and foreign literature. The character of the thesis is theoretical and the thesis is divided into three parts. In the first chapter, there is mutism described based on the study of czech specialized literature as well as etiology, symptoms, diagnostics and treatment. The second chapter describes the same categories but based on the study of foreign literature. The last part is dedicated to the analysis and comparison of acquired knowledge in particular areas. The most signifiant differences can be found in the area of diagnostics and therapy of mutisms, which are more elaborated in foreign literature than in Czech literature. Some differences appear in all other areas of mutism. The learning theory is the characteristic feature of foreign literature in the field of etiology of mutism, also the social enxiety is the characteric feature in the area of symptoms and treatment; overall we can see a dominant influence of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. The Czech literature provides a number of different views not only on the definition of mutism, but also on the etiology and symptomatology. The diagnostics and the therapy of mutism is not further elaborated in the Czech literature.

Osobnost učitele na klasické a alternativní škole / Teacher personality in a Classic School and Alternative School

KOUDELKOVÁ, Marcela January 2016 (has links)
This thesis is called "Teacher personality in a Classic School and Alternative School". The thesis is based on a theoretical-empirical approach. The aim of the thesis is to depict differences in personalities of teachers at regular school and alternative school. Theoretical part concerns about characteristics of alternative schools and their distinctions in comparison with regular schools. Teacher's personality, its structure and basic terminology are also concerns of a theoretical part, including teacher typology and their typical features. Separate part of the thesis is about teacher competences and qualities of a good teacher. At the end of the theoretical part are described requirements on a teacher of regular and alternative school. Practical part of the thesis was realized by questionnaire research. The goal of the thesis and research assumptions are there. The research is supplemented by evaluation of those assumptions. It contains tables and graphical illustrations. The summary of the thesis sums up acquired findings about teachers personality at regular and alternative school.

Získávání znalostí z obrazových databází / Knowledge Discovery in Image Databases

Jaroš, Ondřej January 2010 (has links)
This thesis is focused on knowledge discovery from databases, especially on methods of classification and prediction. These methods are described in detail.  Furthermore, this work deals with multimedia databases and the way these databases store data. In particular, the method for processing low-level image and video data is described.  The practical part of the thesis focuses on the implementation of this GMM method used for extracting low-level features of video data and images. In other parts, input data and tools, which the implemented method was compared with, are described.  The last section focuses on experiments comparing extraction efficiency features of high-level attributes of low-level data and the methods implemented in selected classification tools LibSVM.

Nalezení a rozpoznání dominantních rysů obličeje / Detection and Recognition of Dominant Face Features

Švábek, Hynek January 2010 (has links)
This thesis deals with the increasingly developing field of biometric systems which is the identification of faces. The thesis deals with the possibilities of face localization in pictures and their normalization, which is necessary due to external influences and the influence of different scanning techniques. It describes various techniques of localization of dominant features of the face such as eyes, mouth or nose. Not least, it describes different approaches to the identification of faces. Furthermore a it deals with an implementation of the Dominant Face Features Recognition application, which demonstrates chosen methods for localization of the dominant features (Hough Transform for Circles, localization of mouth using the location of the eyes) and for identification of a face (Linear Discriminant Analysis, Kernel Discriminant Analysis). The last part of the thesis contains a summary of achieved results and a discussion.

Souvislost mezi osobností majitele a behaviorálním profilem jeho kočky / Association between the personality of the owner and the behavioral profile of their cat

Žežulková, Denisa January 2019 (has links)
Previous studies have shown that we can measure personality not only of humans but of animals as well including domestic cats (Felis catus). Results of studies have also shown that personality of the domestic cat might be influenced by various factors e.g. age, gender or breed of the cat. Although only a few studies were focused on association between owner personality and behavioral profile of their cat. The aim of our study was to explore association between the personality of the owners and the behavioral profile of their cats assessed by their owners. We used correlations for analysing data. The sample included 404 respondents (women), who filled in a Czech translation of BFI-2 and a Czech translation of the Feline Five Questionnaire for their cats (the cat sample consists of 194 males and 210 females). Our results showed a set of correlations between personality factors of the owner and behavioral factors of her cat. The strongest positive correlation was measured between consciousness of the owner and extraversion of her cat. One possible explanation of these associations is based on the Similarity-Attraction Hypothesis, which means that the owner chooses an animal that is similar to her in various characteristics. According to another theory the owner projects her own characteristics into...
