Vliv rychlosti postnatálního vývoje na formování personality v chování / Influence of developmental rate on behavioral personality forming

SCHMIDTMAJEROVÁ, Eva January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this thesis was to empirically examine one of the theories regarding the laws of intraspecific variability in animal behavior, which assumes that differences in behavior are directly related to individual differences in the rate of growth. One of our most common rodents, common vole (Microtus arvalis) was chosen as a model species, mainly because lots of previous studies on this species have demonstrated, among other things, presence of consistent differences in behavior.

Transkulturální rysy, pravidla a kulturní vzory při umírání a smrti vybraných minorit na území České republiky

MAŇHALOVÁ, Jana January 2017 (has links)
The objective of the submitted study was to find out and assess the specifics of transcultural features, rules and cultural patterns at dying and death in selected minorities in the Czech Republic in relation to nursing care, and to describe the experience of nurses with transcultural nursing and to evaluate the possibilities of using the Transcultural Assessment Model Joyce Newman Giger and Ruth Elaine Davidhizar and the Conceptual Model of Cultural Competencies Larry D. Purnell in transcultural aspects, rules and cultural patterns of dying and death in selected minorities in the Czech Republic. The stated objectives were achieved by a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, which were part of the research conducted with the financial support of the Grant Agency of the University of South Bohemia (GAJU) in České Budějovice within the team grant project called "Using Conceptual Models in Clinical and Community Practice ", No 048/2015/S. In the first part of the research, a pre-research with 50 informants was carried out by a semi-structured interview technique, each time with 10 representatives of Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Islam and atheism. The main objective of the pre-research was to specify the key data for answering research questions and for creating a self-constructed questionnaire that served together with the standardized DAP-R (The Death Attitudes Profile - Revised) questionnaire to complete quantitative data that analyzed the results of 1 700 respondents. The results of the pre-research study became the basis for the nursing documentation proposal, which was verified in the next phase of the qualitative research in a focus group interview, in which 35 nurses from clinical and community practice were involved. Based on the results of the pre-research study, it was found that the care of the dying and the dead is based on traditional values of human life. Informants demand that nurses have 7 virtues in the form of humility, generosity, compassion, peacefulness, chastity, temperance and activity, enriched with respect for human dignity, love, empathy and understanding. Quantitative research has shown that there is a statistically significant difference in transcultural features, rules and cultural patterns in the period of dying and death, depending on religion or personal belief, in which the degree of subjective identification with a religious belief or a personal belief plays an important role. According to the results of the investigation, it is obvious that de-taboooization of dying and death, as well as contact with the dying person and the deceased, greatly contributes to reconciliation with our own mortality. The results have also shown the presence of lower fears of death in women than men, which can also be seen from the results of the DAP-R questionnaire, which show that there is a statistically significant difference in the welcome acceptance of death by gender. The welcome acceptance to death is more expressed in believers than non-believers people. The focus group with nurses appears to have revealed the absence of cultural competencies that can greatly influence the quality of life of dying people and their families. The research study provides a comprehensive view of transcultural features, rules and cultural patterns in selected minorities in the Czech Republic. Based on data analysis, a nursing anamnesis, which can be an appropriate tool for the continual quality improvement of provided care, has been created. In view of the above mentioned, the research study is beneficial both for increasing theoretical knowledge of nursing and for clinical and community practice.

Využití metody stanovování krátkodobých cílů u sportovců vzhledem k jejich osobnostním rysům / Use of the short-term goal-setting method for athetes with regard to their personality traits

Nezdoba, Jakub January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of predicting success in athletes in the short- term, process-oriented goal-setting method using the NEO-FFI inventory. The first part of the thesis describes the five-factor model of personality and the possibilities of its psychodiagnostics' measurement. The second part of the thesis describes the mechanisms of the goal-setting method with rules and procedures for its effective application. The method of goal-setting is then connected in theory as well as research with a five-factor personality model using a correlation study in real conditions. The research sample consisted of 316 performance ice-hockey players aged 15 to 19 years. These players underwent the goal- setting method and the personality traits measurement using NEO-FFI. The strongest predictor of success found using the goal-setting method was the size of the selected goal. Of the personality traits, it was merely a trait extraversion, which, however, provided a relatively weak prediction option.

TITLE: The personality of the individual in the process of attaining social status - from social reproduction to identification of the sources for intergenerational upward social mobility. AUTHOR: Tereza Bariekzahyová DEPARTMENT: Department of Psychology SUPERVISOR: Doc. PhDr. Karel Hnilica, CSc. ABSTRACT: The thesis, in which the view through the sociological prism is enhanced by the lens of psychology, theoretically and empirically examines non-cognitive personality traits and characteristics ('Big Five', Self-esteem, Locus of Control, Willpower), within the context of the social and psychological aspects of attaining social status (influences by one's family, peers and teachers, and others), with a specific focus on intergenerational upward mobility and the identification of its sources. Research for this paper was designed as a combination of (primarily) representative questionnaire surveys among the adult population in the Czech Republic, and qualitative interviews with selected individuals who have shown intergenerational upward mobility. The results show that, aside from cognitive skills, the statistically less relevant and hitherto somewhat neglected non-cognitive traits and characteristics of individuals do play a role in the process of attaining social status. The author has been able to...

Dotazník interpersonální diagnózy jako diagnostický nástroj personální psychologie / Interpersonal Check List as a Diagnostic Tool of Industrial and Organizational Psychology

Hanuš, David January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this paper is to verify the applicability of Interpersonal Check List for assessing managerial potential, namely leadership potential. The evolution and findings of leadership research are summarized in the theoretical part of the article. Possible effects of personality traits on leader effectivity are theoretically explained. There is evidence that these traits affect the perception of leaders. Empirical tests show that employees in leadership positions score higher in several dimensions of Interpersonal Check List, particularly in managerial - autocratic, competitive - exploitive and blunt - aggresive dimensions. The discussion of these findings leads to the conclusion that the mentioned dimensions could be considered as indicators of leadership potential. Interpersonal Check List is a valid instrument for assessing leadership potential.

Jazyková analýza barokního kázání / Linguistic analysis of a Baroque Homily

FRIEDRICHOVÁ, Petra January 2011 (has links)
In the thesis Language Analysis of Baroque Sermon I deal with the morphological level of the Baroque sermon written by Karel Václav Černý Medotekoucí sláva na hůře Libanu (Fame on Liban Mountain) dating back to 1727. The thesis is a follow-up of my bachelor thesis analyzing the syntactic level of sermon. Besides this it involved the exposition concerning the Baroque time and the Saint John of Nepomuk. For this reason I do not state this information in my thesis. The thesis is based on the research of grammatical means applied in the text, as in view of the scope the thesis could not be focused on the lexical and stylistic level. Theoretical base are for me the present as well as the historical grammar books. I classify word classes acquired by excerption and focus on their characteristic features. I try to prove everything by examples found in the text. The target of this thesis is to compare the Baroque grammatical means with the means of the present Czech language.

Vybrané aspekty podnikatelského prostředí, kulturní specifika a formování mezinárodní institucionální komparativní výhody Jižní Koreje - vzájemné souvislosti / Selected Aspects of Business Environment, Cultural Specifics and the Formation of International Institutional Comparative Advantage of South Korea – Mutual Relationships

Šípková, Martina January 2004 (has links)
This thesis deals with historical and socio-cultural context of Korean political economy and its relationships with important aspects of Korean business environment. The work dedicates significant space to chaebols as specific business organizational structures and the application of Korean paradigm of rationality to the reform following 1997 International Monetary and Financial Crisis. The main part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of Korean political economy from the viewpoint of its institutional comparative advantage, through which Korean cultural characteristics influence commodity structure of Korean international trade and Korea's patent specialisation profile. The main contribution of the thesis lies in its effort to document mutual relationships and links among various aspects of Korean political economy. The findings of the thesis show that Korea's socio-cultural characteristics still represent an important factor influencing Korean business environment and local form of capitalism. The continuing existence and success of chaebols in current economy implies that the socio-cultural and economic sources of their existence still prevail despite the increasing number of conglomerates of non-chaebol types operating in Korea since post-crisis reform. The application of "Eastern paradigm" to the post-crisis reform reveals that the reform was based on "Western paradigm" of highly liberal Anglo-American form of capitalism and crisis management was thus ethnocentrically biased. Regarding the institutional comparative advantage, the thesis concludes Korea can be regarded as a group coordinated market economy where mutual links among various agents of its political economy are of outmost importance, with some aspects of liberal market economies. The main coordination mechanism of Korean political economy can be characterised as thick networks of highly particularistic socio-economic relationships based on Korean socio-cultural characteristics. This institutional and socio-cultural set up provides Korean companies with capacities that favour companies'preference of incremental innovation production strategies. However, Korean "mobilizational culture" along with other specific organizational principles and socio-cultural features of Korean corporate culture also provide Korean firms with advantages in some radical innovation fields.
