This thesis deals with the issue of determining the causes of defects and failures, focusing on a specific property and their significance in determining the price of the property. The first part focuses on the theory explaining the basic concepts used in the valuation of real estate, basic methods of property valuation and classification of construction defects and failures. This chapter includes an analysis of the real estate market in the years 2008 - 2013. The second part is devoted to determining the amount of property damage at a specific property, the calculation of this particular property which is based on technical surveys and subsequent valuation of the property with regard to the results of the survey. The aim is to create a design procedure for reducing the price of the property with the defect.

The diploma thesis deals with sewage systems, evaluation of their technical conditions and various methods of sewage system reconstruction. First chapters provide theoretical background for sewage system reconstruction and contains general information about sewage systems and basic terminology. Next chapters describe the theoretical procedure of elaboration of proposal of existing sewage system remediation including the evaluation of technical conditions of sewage system and the evaluation of individual technical indicators. Then, individual methods of sewage system reconstruction are described. The second part of diploma thesis deals with the case study of sewage system in the village of Mikulovice. The case study is elaborated according to procedure specified in the theoretical part of diploma thesis. The case study includes the passportisation of sewage system and the evaluation of technical conditions of three selected sections. On the grounds of discovered defects, the methods of sewage system reconstruction are designed. Finally, each section of sewage system is evaluated and optimal method for its reconstruction is selected.

This diploma thesis is focused on structural progression of massive wooden structures, requirements to contemporary massive wooden structures, development of carpentry joints and connecting instruments used in constructions and reconstructions of these buildings, and analysis of risks connected with reconstructions of selected historical wooden structures. Another item of this thesis concerns on evaluation of possible risks in particular connecting instruments that are used in massive wooden structures per the FMEA method. The main content of thesis includes a description of selected historical wooden structures, options of their damages, forms of remediation and a description of possible risks and measures in reconstructions. In conclusion the thesis focuses on comparison of historical massive wooden structures and comparable new buildings.

This diploma thesis is focused on the issue of the return of children from the institutional care back to the family with the support and cooperation with parents and social workers from social legal child protection and social stimulating services for parents with children. It is a theoretical empirical work based on experiences with realization the return of the child from the institutional care in the area of the town Litvínov. Apart from the practical experience according to the said social workers, the work is also based on the author's theoretical knowledge, which has been gained during the study of professional literature in the field of social pedagogy and by self-studying in the stated problematic. The thesis is focused on the family background, the family cure, the institutional care and activities of social workers during the period when the child was been returning into the family. The empirical part is an illustrational preview into the problematic of the return of children from the institutional care back to the family.

The thesis has been focusing on the family undergoing custody proceedings, on the functioning of the Cochem practice in the city of Most, including entities that are currently involved in custody proceedings and has a theoretical and empirical character. The theoretical part deals with the basic definitions and theories of family, parenthood, the participatory rights of the child in custody proceedings, describes the roles of other participants in the proceedings. The thesis also focuses on the current possibilities of rehabilitating the family, which is undergoing guardianship proceedings in Most. The empirical part of the work consists of qualitative research, which aims to find out what, according to experts, is the benefit of Cochem practice for families in custody, what are the possibilities of family rehabilitation in Cochem practice, what are the limits of interdisciplinary cooperation and how the acquisition of Cochem practice has changed the scope of work of individual experts. The research was carried out through an expert survey, with the help of expert interviews with five experts. Kochta, P. Performance evaluation of small companies. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. Diploma thesis deals with performance evaluation of two small companies in construction industry and formulation of suggestions for increase of their performance. Performance is evaluated based on financial analysis through ratios, economic value added, bankruptcy and solvency models, benchmarking, and based on nonfinancial analysis through company´s sanation and company´s restoration of viability methodology by Harry Pollak. Diploma thesis is structured into two parts. In the first part Summary of literature there are theoretically described procedures and methods of financial and nonfinancial analysis serving as foundation for the practical part. In the practical part there are introduced the chosen companies and then they are analysed based on the mentioned procedures and methods. Based on the outcomes of the analysis there are devised suggestions for increase of performance and competitiveness of the analysed companies. Next there is evaluation of an option of generalization of the used approaches and suggestions for other companies of similar character in construction industry.

Air insulation, especially its efficiency, is often underestimated and most often it is recommended as combination of several methods by our experts. It is known that flowing air used to eliminate excessive humidity in lower construction is insignificantly promoted. Already our ancestors in ancient Rome had experience with implementation of air insulations. However, nowadays such design is connected with many doubts and it forces us to use sense, especially knowledge of construction physics. So it urges higher technical precision when designing functional ventilation system. Each building is actually a unique object, with regard to its position and used properties, that is why certain natural conditions must be accepted when designing. It is more complicated and figuratively speaking it can be written in c. 20 equations of twenty unknowns. Other problems arise in unknown coefficients to individual parameters and their effects. From another point of view it is the issue of changing air during the day, passing fronts, annual cycles and all of these in relation to internal environment of the building, materials used in the construction, land properties of rocks, and last but not least, relation to the terrain around the building. Then there are the effects of the building's altitudes etc. In total they are cycles with sine character of dampening and drying. The thesis discusses how to test the functionality of AIR insulations designed for the floor ventilation in historic buildings and follows on from the previously published articles. A flow analysis is being performed on an object of the city of Žirovnice which has been registered in the list of cultural monuments and was built as a brewery in the years 1589-1592 on the site of an older medieval building. This article brings new air-flow element. Where I studied documentation and did twenty-six interviews with children. The main part is devoted to the presentation of the obtained results, so how children spend their time before they are placed in a children's home. The results are analyzed and possible solutions and recommendations for working with children and families in family preservation.

The topic of this Ph.D. theis is repairing and strengthening of historical wagon vaults (barrel vaults, tunnel vaults) using post tensioning with tendons (monostrands) in longitudinal direction. The vaults should be without an edge, that´s mean the baroque vaults are well appropriate for this method. The pointed barrel vault should be problematic. The stabilization is for a wagon vault created by semicircle or segment part of a circle as well as an elliptic shape. The study has been made for vault with a width of 1 m and for the prestressing force has been used one tendon only. Of course, this method could be apply for normal constructions with a width of many meters. In this case, more tendons should be use with a suitable spacing. The goal of this work was to monitor an experiment model of an wagon vault and a real strengthened baroque vault of a church in Švábenice. During the monitor time, the static Analysis has been made. For these analysis appropriate finite elements in Ansys program has been use. The results of this work is to amplify the knowledge of the real behaviour of strengthened vaults, which could be use like instruction for the civil engineers. Further the public information guide to build an appropriate model of an Vault with an interaction with post-tensioning tendons.

The aim of this diploma thesis is a rehabilitation study of the sewer network on Vídeňská street in the city of Brno. The first part of the thesis includes an accompanying review including basic data about the sewage gutter, including the characteristics of the affected area with a detailed description of the geological and hydrogeological rates. This is followed by a technical review, which consists of hydrotechnical calculations and overal summary of the construction-technical condition. The subject of the following part is a proposal and description of several varying solutions for the rehabilitation, including, particularly, trenchless technologies. Further on, all of the proposed variants are evaluated based on technical, economical and environmental impact. Finally, all the observations are summarized and a final recommendation for the way of solving the rehabilitation is carried out.
