Framtagning av justerbara siktparametrar : Utveckling av testutrustning för utvärdering av prestandan i ett sorteringsverk / Construction of adjustable screening parameters

Johnsen, Edvin, Chiu, Simon January 2024 (has links)
This report describes a bachelor thesis project in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development and Design at the School of Engineering at Jönköping University. The authors of the work are Edvin Johnsen and Simon Chiu and the work was performed in collaboration with the company Maskin Mekano. The aim of the work was to develop solutions for a lab screen that enables effective tests of the governing parameters that affect a screening plants performance. The company have well performing screening plants, but are still interested in being able to test and evaluate its products when different governing parameters apply. Currently, they do not have any test equipment that allows the company to do these tests in a representative way, hence the need for a lab screen. For the most part, the work has consisted of sheet metal construction work to create a CAD model for a lab screen that is adjustable regarding these governing parameters. The goal was to construct a machine that could adjust the angle of the screening deck, adjust the pattern of movement of the screening box, and efficiently collect the tested material for evaluation. The project has also done extensive research into which these governing parameters are and how they work, as well as how they affect the performance of the screening plant. The model that was created was based on existing components from Maskin Mekano and then customized through construction of new components. The work resulted in a finished CAD model that should be able to perform all the types of tests that were requested. The work also resulted in several conclusions regarding the governing parameters that control the screen, and how they can be used to influence the performance of the screening plant.
