The content of this project is a new building of a hotel with a restaurant. The object is designed as a three-storey structure without basement. The 1st floor will feature an entrance area with the reception, storage premises, technical facilities, as well as the restaurant section with sanitary facilities and kitchen. The 2nd and 3rd floor will feature apartments for the guests, equipped with own bathrooms. Two double rooms on the 3rd floor are designed as barrier-free. There will also be a large lounge, game room and children’s room on the 2nd floor, and a small lounge on the 3rd floor. The construction will be based on foundation slabs made of plain concrete and ferroconcrete bases. The vertical construction system is solved as combined and is formed by porous concrete blocks and ferroconcrete columns. The ceiling structure above the 1st floor will consist of ventricular prestressed ferroconcrete panels. The object will be roofed with a sloping jerkinghead and a flat roof.

Rekreační penzion Náklo / Recreational facilities Náklo

Vymětal, Jaromír January 2018 (has links)
The subject of the diploma thesis is a new building of a recreational pension with restaurant and wellness facilities in Náklo. It is a multi-storey building with three above-ground and one underground floors, located near Lake Kobylnik. The accommodation capacity of the boarding house is 26 beds. The proposal respects both the municipal plan and the existing surrounding area. It has a rugged floor plan with a central staircase. The vertical supporting structures are made of sand-lime blocks. Ceiling structures are made of prestressed reinforced concrete panels with cavities and reinforced concrete monolithic panels. The object of the holiday house has two types of roofing. Classical sloping saddle roof and flat roof above the central part. A water surface and a recreational area are designed on the parcels concerned. The proposed building is situated in a perspective area for tourism, near the Litovelské Pomoraví Protected Landscape Area.

Horský hotel / Mountain hotel

Krošláková, Petra January 2020 (has links)
The main aim of this diploma´s thesis is an elaboration of the project documentation for the construction of object of mountain hotel, which is situated in the community Tatranská Lomnica which a part of the city High Tatras. The land is quiet gentle orientated on the northeast part. There is a beutiful view on the majestic peaks of High Tatras expecially Lomnický peak and on Liptovská basin from the south parth. The newly-built hotel is located in the turists and recreational location with pensions, and mountain hotels and also by it´s own architectural solution fits into the closest development area. This newly-built object is projected as a wooden construction made of massive wooden CLT panels. The building has four aboveground floors and one underground floor where are situated also parking places. There is a spacious parking lot in front of the object with the main entrance from the western part of the land. The facade and roof construction is projected as iventilated. The roof construction is projected as a pitched roof. The project documentation is procesed in the connection with the czech actual laws, notice and norms. The main work is deviced in to the text part and drawing part.

Penzion pro seniory, Šumperk / Retirement house, Šumperk

Ondráček, Jan January 2014 (has links)
The Master thesis resolves design of a retirement house in Šumperk. This is a three-storey house on plot No. 142/2 registered in the cadastral area Horní Temenice. The house is set to a slightly sloping terrain. Terrain features were taken into account when the architectural design was made. The building has a longitudinal shape with dimensions of 27 x 11.3 m. The building is built by using the Porotherm system. Retirement house has 15 apartments. Four double-bedded apartments and eleven single-bedded apartments. The purpose of the building is to extend capacity of a nursing home.

Polyfunkční dům / Multifunctional house

Strýhal, Martin Unknown Date (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the development of the vacant lot in Prague - Libeň at the PCB level. A multifunctional house is designed, which includes three establishments and eleven housing units. The premises will be used as shops. The apartments are designed for 2 to 4-member families. Multifunctional house floor plan with a total area of 683.1 square meters. The building has a basement with five floors, the premises are located on the first floor. There is a pedestrian and driveway to the building. Behind the object away from the main road is an outdoor parking lot. The underground garage will be accessed by a car elevator. The whole building is covered with a sloping roof. The project is processed using the computer program AutoCAD.

Analytic element modeling of the High Plains Aquifer: non-linear model optimization using Levenberg-Marquardt and particle swarm algorithms

Allen, Andy January 1900 (has links)
Master of Science / Department of Civil Engineering / David R. Steward / Accurate modeling of the High Plains Aquifer depends on the availability of good data that represents and quantities properties and processes occurring within the aquifer. Thanks to many previous studies there is a wealth of good data available for the High Plains Aquifer but one key component, groundwater-surface water interaction locations and rates, is generally missing. Without these values accurate modeling of the High Plains Aquifer is very difficult to achieve. This thesis presents methods for simplifying the modeling of the High Plains Aquifer using a sloping base method and then applying mathematical optimization techniques to locate and quantify points of groundwater-surface water interaction. The High Plains Aquifer has a base that slopes gently from west to east and is approximated using a one-dimensional stepping base model. The model was run under steady-state predevelopment conditions using readily available GIS data representing aquifer properties such as hydraulic conductivity, bedrock elevation, recharge, and the predevelopment water level. The Levenberg-Marquardt and particle swarm algorithms were implemented to minimize error in the model. The algorithms reduced model error by finding locations in the aquifer of potential groundwater-surface water interaction and then determining the rate of groundwater to surface water exchange at those points that allowed for the best match between the measured predevelopment water level and the simulated water level. Results from the model indicate that groundwater-surface water interaction plays an important role in the overall water balance in the High Plains Aquifer. Findings from the model show strong groundwater-surface water interaction occurring in the northern basin of the aquifer where the water table is relatively shallow and there are many surface water features. In the central and southern basins the interaction is primarily limited to river valleys. Most rivers have baseflow that is a net sink from groundwater.

Tidal Dynamics in Coastal Aquifers

Teo, Hhih-Ting, h.teo@griffith.edu.au January 2003 (has links)
The prediction of coastal groundwater movement is necessary in coastal management. However, the study in this field is still a great challenge due to the involvement of tidal-groundwater interactions and the phenomena of hydrodynamic dispersion between salt-fresh water in the coastal region. To date, numerous theories for groundwater dynamic have been made available in analytical, numerical and also experimental forms. Nevertheless, most of them are based on the zeroth-order shallow flow, i.e. Boussinesq approximation. Two main components for coastal unconfined aquifer have been completed in this Thesis: the vertical beach model and the sloping beach model. Both solutions are solved in closed-form up to higher order with shallow water parameter ([epsilon]) and tidal amplitude parameter ([alpha]). The vertical beach solution contributes to the higher-order tidal fluctuations while the sloping beach model overcomes the shortcomings in the existing solutions. From this study, higher-order components are found to be significant especially for larger value of [alpha] and [epsilon]. Other parameters such as hydraulic conductivity (K) and the thickness of aquifer (D) also affect the water table fluctuations. The new sloping solution demonstrated the significant influence of beach slope ([beta]) on the water table fluctuations. A comprehensive comparison between previous solution and the present sloping solution have been performed mathematically and numerically and the present solution has been demonstrated to provide a better prediction
