The work examines the prospects of the welfare state in the light of globalization on the basis of literature. It seeks to outline the development of the welfare state and its future in the form of a global world. This similarity implies specific issues. These issues include the question of solidarity, subsidiarity and justice. The first chapter deals with terms, history and typology of the welfare state. The second chapter deals with the functions of the welfare state and the interconnection of the Czech welfare state with European Union. The third chapter is devoted to justice, solidarity, subsidiarity and participation, the principles of the welfare state. The fourth chapter discusses the typology of welfare state according to Spieker. The fifth chapter outlines the perspective of the welfare state in terms of modernization, prosperity and future. The sixth chapter is devoted to global welfare state. By combining all the chapters, we created a comprehensive view of the prospects of the welfare state in the light of globalization.

The diploma thesis titled "Social exclusion of Roma at the local level and strategy of overcoming" is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The goal of the thesis is to answer two main research questions: "What are the specific characteristics of life of the Roma in socially excluded locality Smíchov?" and "How do the Roma living in Smíchov perceive possibilities of the overcoming social exclusion of the Roma?". The theoretical part is insight into the problems of social exclusion of the Roma in the Czech Republic. It outlines the history of the Roma and the general concepts of coexistence of majority and minority. It also contains a description of the specific features of the social exclusion of the Roma in the Czech Republic and opportunities of social work in the Roma community. The theoretical part is followed by empirical part, which is based on a framework analysis of ten interviews with Roma respondents from Smíchov. The research examined the economic situation, social contacts, education level, life satisfaction and difficulties experience of discrimination and attitudes towards media image of Roma, politics and the police.

This thesis deals with the execution of social security benefits. The thesis is divided into six chapters, which are broken down into subsections. It also includes an introduction and a conclusion. The first chapter describes the batch system in the Czech Republic. After defining the concept of social security benefit, the principles are described in the provision of social security benefits and the breakdown of social security benefits. Furthermore, according to the systems of social security rights defined by individual social security benefits. The second section describes the types of executions. First, it discusses the judicial enforcement. In this section we describe two methods of enforcement, which by their nature are possible in execution of social security benefits. It is a payroll deductions and receivables commandments. Other subsections devoted to execution under the Enforcement Regulations, administrative execution, tax execution and parallel execution. The third chapter discusses the execution of health insurance benefits. Herein, the benefits of which can perform execution deductions from wages and benefits that can affect seizures. Further, it discusses the deviations in the implementation of deductions of health insurance benefits from the normal procedure for making payroll deductions....

v angličtině Coordination of social security system is very important for migrant workers who, during their careers working in more countries around the world. This creates entitlements to the payment of social benefits in countries where they have gainful employment, but are often affected by sufficient insurance periods, which may not, however, be fulfilled in that country. For this reason, countries enter into agreements among themselves in order to facilitate migrant workers access to social security benefits to be entitled. Adjustment between states exists both at the multilateral level and at bilateral level. This laws shows how the coordination of social security system regulated at the multilateral level, especially within the European Union but also at the bilateral level the example of treaties that Czech Republic has concluded with other world countries, also focuses on the introduction of institutions that coordinate social security system fulfill in Czech Republic. At the multilateral level, the most important adjustment is created at the level of the European Union. Práce stručně mapuje vývoj sociální politiky ve Spojených státech amerických v průběhu 20. století. Počátky sociálněpolitických opatření lze najít za vlády prezidenta T. Roosevelta, krátce je však zmíněn i předchozí vývoj. Další kapitoly popisují skrze nejdůležitější zákony a opatření sociální politiku federálních vlád od T. Roosevelta po R. Reagana s důrazem na milníky ve vývoji sociální politiky, kterými byla období 30., 60. a 80. let (New Deal, Velká společnost, Reaganomika). Poslední velkou reformou obsaženou v této práci je sociální politika prezidenta Reagana, v závěru je ale krátce zmíněn i vývoj této oblasti během 90. let až po současnost.

The purpose of my thesis is to explain the issue of the welfare state's crisis. To describe its current situation and impacts in modern world of capitalism. I have chosen France as a case study. Social disorders are common and becoming stronger and the sustainability of the social state causes considerable difficulties. In the first part of my thesis I describe the development of the modern welfare state, its basic principals and individual theoretical approaches criticizing the concept. In the second part I illustrate characteristic features of French welfare state: interests groups, primary values of the society and its specifics, situation on labor market, entrepreneurial environment and political progress. The thesis shows that France makes efforts to reform its welfare state. However, suggested solutions are only partial and even deepen social problems in France.

The diploma thesis deals with the crisis of the welfare state, which is causing problems in the public finance and deteriorating economic situation in many countries. Compares two groups of similar economic level OECD countries which spend the highest and the lowest social expenditure in percentage of GDP. Observes differences in their economic and demographic situation. The thesis also deals with the causes of the crisis and provides an example of successful economic reform, which significantly reduced growth of the welfare state and started a very successful economic period. The results of the analysis and the example of the reform provide some proposals for the welfare state cisis solution throught liberal way.

This thesis analyses the rates of solidarity and equivalence in the social security system of the Czech Republic. The main subjects of the thesis are contributions paid to the social security system by its participants and merit benefits such as sickness benefits, unemployment benefits, and pensions belonging to the insured persons from the system. The main aim is to compare the amount of contributions paid into the system of pension insurance, sickness insurance and state employment policies to the merit benefits received by employees and self-employed from the system, as well as evaluate the rate of solidarity and equiva-lence between different groups of participants.

The diploma thesis analyses and compares the current situation of social entrepreneurship in Prague and Plzen region. On the basis of an empirical analysis it evaluates the differences in public awareness and public opinion on the concept of social entrepreneurship and analyses benefits of an individual social enterprise for its employees. The main asset of the thesis is the list of individual recommendations which might help to develop social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic.
