MAXA, Ondřej January 2014 (has links)
The goal of this thesis is to describe and explain the process of comeback of the Czechoslovakian trademarks and products from the time of socialism. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. The beginning of the theoretical part focuses on the genral introduction of the "ostalgia", including the brief description of the process of "ostalgia" in other countraies of the former Eastern Block. Another part of this thesis focuses on the reasons why today´s population of Czech republic tends to these nostalgic memories. What´s the reason of the comeback of trademarks like Kofola, céčka, botas etc. Why do people tend to these old trademarks and if it is somehow connected with people´s wish to get the time and way of living in socialism back. Or if this is just the regular nostalgia or the real "ostalgia"? The practical part of my thesis consists of the questionnaire regarding the "ostalgia", the fact hbow the middle generation remembers their youth in the socialism, how they feel about the comeback of the old trademarks or if there´s some more former trademarks they wish to come back. The questionnaire was also presented to a young generation to be able to compare the different opinions of two generations. The final part of the thesis consists of the analysis of the questionnaire and its results.

Ostalgie v české společnosti / Ostalgie in Czech society

Sahánková, Barbora January 2011 (has links)
This thesis focuses on phenomenon "ostalgie" in current society in Czech Republic. I will analyze the attitude of contemporary witnesses to the period of sixties in 20th century in Czechoslovakia and try to clarify whether their potential nostalgic feelings are based on rational facts (better standard of living, working conditions, social security etc.) or whether they are caused by subjective perception of the past in connection with aging. In the first part of my thesis I will explain the ways how this "ostalgie" occurs in life of former GDR citizens. Then I will transfer those individual aspects to the environment of Czech society and analyze them in more detailed way. The thesis will be based on unpublished sources, followed by monographs and special studies of Czech, German and English origin, by use of the methods of oral history, social history and the history of everyday life.

Konec latinskoamerického socialismu: Bezpečnostní aspekty venezuelské krize / The End of Latin-American Socialism: Security Aspects of the Venezuelan Crisis

Sedláčková, Petra January 2018 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the relation between the socialism of the 21st century as an ideology (or revolutionary theory) and human security concept applied on case of Venezuela, with regards to the regional context of Latin America. First, it presents both theoretical terms in deeper contexts; in case of Latin-American socialism deals with theoretical background in the work of Heinz Dieterich, advisor of Hugo Chávez and compares to the perspective of Russian professor Alexander Buzgalin, it also deals with regional perspective of indigenous socialism. In case of concept of human security, the thesis offers an insight into its genesis in United Nations, gives voice to some critical approaches and presents models that are further used. Both theoretical terms are applied in the analytical chapters of the thesis on case of the Bolivarian Republic. In case of socialism, the author analyses its impact on the 1999 constitution and deals with implementation on the example of communal councils; in case of human security concept, she choses three models that are tested to evaluate the current situation in the country. The author also considers the relation between a crisis or a threat to human security and migration as possible indicator of a current state. On the example of Venezuela, the author evaluates the...

BÁRTL, ZDENĚK. The Reflection of Albania in the Czechoslovakian Environment of the Years 1948 - 1962. Praha: Faculty of Philosophy, Charles University in Prague, 2014, 86 pp. Diploma Thesis. This diploma thesis analyses the way how the Czechoslovakian print media reflected events in Albania in the years 1948 - 1962. It studies public knowledge based on the print media about political events, international relationship, economic situation, life and development in Albanian society. The chronological framework starts on alliance between Enver Hoxha regime and Czechoslovakia and ends with the first months after the real severance of all links between Albania and the Soviet Union bloc. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first, a general part, offers basic geographical information and a brief summary of Albanian history. The second part, more extensive, elaborates the key topic which means the reflection of Albania in the Czechoslovakian environment. Particular units follow up selected sphere or events which the print media dedicated the major attention in the years 1948-1962.

Konceptualizace prostoru v historické vědě / Conceptualization of Space in Historiography

Pýcha, Čeněk January 2014 (has links)
The main topic of this master thesis are the representation of space of northern Bohemia in the era of czechoslovakian state socialism. The aim of thesis is to approximate historical agents understanding of space. There is a Michel de Certeau's concept of space in the methodological background. De Certeau understands space like a set of places, which is designed by dynamic by social agents. For analysis I have chosen some social realms, where is strong connection to space (tourism, cultural heritage managment, school education, visual representation and sending postcards). The sources were designed by these social realms and the thesis is grounded on the case studies. At the end of thesis I have tried to apply Aleida Assmann's theory of paradigmatic change in the social concept of time. This change we can observate in the 80s and it occures also in space, because direct in space is made sense of time. Keywords: space, northern Bohemia, socialism, representation, historical agent
