"Nás holek je tu málo, a to je škoda". Nízký počet studentek na technicky zaměřených středních školách / "There are not many of us girls and that is a shame". Low number of female students at technical secondary schools

Nguyenová, Monika January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis is attentive to very low numbers of girls, studying at technically oriented secondary industrial schools. It examines the factors, which lead to the reasons why girls are not motivated to study at the schools of this kind, as well as factors which cause that they do enter these schools, such as their interest in studying technologies, their motivation in the form of their future professional application or the existence of patterns in the form of people who they imitate. In the theoretical part, which examines the causes of the absence of female students, the work criticises the claim that boys are more talented for studying technical disciplines, while girls excel in humanities. It points to ways of keeping gender stereotyped thinking, for example, a strongly rooted opinion, that little girls should be led to take care of children and other persons, housework, and professions which are an extension of their domestic roles into the public sphere. After this work identifies the risks and impacts of the absence of girls in technical fields, there are mentioned some procedures that should be introduced in the education of children in elementary schools, so that the children may not have to decide on their future field of study based on generally accepted gender stereotypes. Utopia e disincanto. Československo a Mitteleuropa v poetických prózách Magrise, Ripellina a Sermontiho / Utopia e disincanto. Czecoslovachia and Middle Europe in the poetic proses by Magris, Ripellino and Sermonti

Morozová, Fedora January 2020 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to trace the utopia and disenchantment of four selected Italian writers who spent some time in Czechoslovakia and testified about their experiences. We try to achieve that by using a conception presented by Claudio Magris in his essay Utopia e disincanto. Firstly, the substance of the terminological pair utopia and disenchantment is explicated. The analysis is based on following works: Il pane rosso by Giovanni Passeri, Praga: appunti dalla memoria by Orazio Pizzigoni, I fatti di Praga (as well as L`Ora di Praga) and Praga magica by Angelo M. Ripellino and Il tempo fra cane e lupo by Vittorio Sermonti. Passeri and Pizzigoni arrived in Czechoslovakia at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s to ascertain how real socialism functioned. Ripellino and Sermonti arrived at the time of the Prague Spring, therefore their writings relate to this period. The thesis is divided into two parts according to historical stages and different motivations of the authors. There are four subheadings, one for each writer, containing analysis of the selected writings, biography of the author and characterization of their dreams, expectations and subsequent disenchantment. These findings are summarized through a brief recapitulation in the last chapter.

Zavedené nepořádky. Československý fotbal a jeho fanoušci v letech pozdního státního socialismu. / Established disorder. Czechoslovak football and its fans during the years of late state socialism.

Kovařík, Pavel January 2019 (has links)
The following thesis titled Zavedené nepořádky: Českoslovenští fotbaloví fanoušci v letech pozdního státního socialismu thematises Czechoslovak football hooliganism from a historical point of view with a special emphasis on the contextualisation of the whole phenomena into the field of the Czechoslovak contemporary history. It is specifically concerned with detailing various aspects of this specific community's everyday life but it also thematises broader questions about the community's members relation to the social order in which they themselves lived and were surrounded by. On one hand, the thesis accepts some basic aspects from the subcultural theory, but at the same time it offers interpretative alternatives inspired by the concepts of socialist everydayness. The whole thesis is thus not only a description of a very specific community of football hooligans in the era of late state socialism but also a contribution to a broader discussion on the character of late state socialism in the last years of its duration. The work is focused more detailed on the influence of the socialism and its economic and cultural conditions over the development of wedding practices and customs and then on deviations from the Western, or better to say non-communistic model of changes in wedding customs in Europe during the post-war period of the 20th Century. Navrátilová, Marcela January 2012 (has links)
Marcela Navrátilová, The Transformation of the Heroism of Labour in the Era of Socialism Abstract: The term of heroism of labour, purpose of which, originally, was to praise the value of labour to the country, became over the time a mere phrase of political manipulation. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the discourse of the term as presented to the wide public by the daily newspaper Rude Pravo during the era of socialism. The framework of the study is based on comparison of four stages significant to the development of the socialism in Czechoslovakia: first of all, the early years of 1950's - the era of Stalinism and initial years of building the state-socialism, the second half of 1960's - also known as the period of the Thaw, thirdly, the normalization years of the 1970's and lastly, the second half of 1980's - the final years of the Communist era in Czechoslovakia. These four periods were used as a platform for comparing the change and the development of heroism of labour. The thesis constitutes of methodological preface introducing the method used in my research and a theoretical introduction explaining the key terms of labour and the discourse of socialism, and also, explaining the role of Rude Pravo in Czechoslovakia between the years 1948 - 1989. These two parts are followed by the analytical...

Bárta, Ondřej January 2014 (has links)
The thesis aims to provide possible interdisciplinar explanatory schema of the fact, which is in literature as a mass conformity of citizens of real-socialistic régime in Czechoslovakia. Even in the 70s and 80s, in a time of ideological emptiness, was achieved that the vast majority of the population participated in the rituals of power, which could have a considerable psychological impact. People were regularly reminded of their humbling and social psychological task is to present concepts able to describe, how could be such a humiliation at one's self-image processed and what effect this may have on general conformity. By the most symbolic ritual, the elections, it is also necessary to examine, in what form were they period presented, because this also has an impact on the degree of tension between own actions and convictions.

Vlčková, Kateřina January 2014 (has links)
Bc. Kateřina Vlčková ABSTRACT: Petya parent - "socialist" fatherhood in Mladý svět magazine at the end of the 70th and beginning of the 80s of the 20th century The topic of my thesis is fatherhood in socialist Czechoslovakia in the late 70s and 80s of the 20th century. My primary source research is a section Péťa Parent, published from 1979 to 1982 in the Mladý svět magazine. The uniqueness of this column, I see in the fact that the author (Petr Hora-Hořejš) as the father advise to "public" readers regarding about education and child care. The theoretical part will focus on the concepts that are relevant to my research, such as the gender culture, fatherhood, masculinity, private and public sphere, motherhood, femininity, etc. Among the basic questions I'll ask include the following: How "socialist" father defends and publishes his paternal role, how he views care and education (his) child or what image of man-father Mladý svět magazine helps to create. With my work I try to contribute to a greater awareness of the history of fatherhood changes and involvement father in a family area, which was at that time primarily attributed to the women-mothers.

The thesis, 'Marriage in the period of normalisation: Stories of Women who got married between 1970 and 1989', focuses on the wedding rate in Czechoslovakia during normalisation period, 20 years after Soviet occupation. The analysis is done in the context of governmental family and population politics and endeavours of normalisation regime to support marriage and natality rate. The present study describes measures which the government introduced in the 70's and their justification. The focus falls also on the influence of demographic behaviour and how this behaviour was unique and exceptional during normalisation period. The whole study is based on the fact that personal testimony of narrators can contribute to an understanding of the human aspect of our history. The qualitative research method used was oral-historical interviews recording the experience of 6 women. The study analyses their decision making factors to enter the institution of marriage, what was young families' economic situation and how they perceived and exploited state support system for young families. This thesis helps understanding women in this specific period of normalisation as well as the period itself, given the fact that in the 70's and 80's the betrothed couples were the youngest and marriage rate was the highest in the...
