Syftet med denna studie har varit att få en bredare förståelse och en inblick i hur det socialpedagogiska arbetet för barn med särskilda behov kan se ut på en skola. Vidare har intervjuer av kvalitativ karaktär utförts för att ta reda på hur olika professioner i socialpedagogens omgivning upplever det arbetet för dessa barn. De olika intervjupersonerna är en rektor, en lärare, en kurator och en socialpedagog. För att analysera och bearbeta det insamlade har teorin om empowerment tillämpats samt Thomas Scheffs teori kring sociala band. Vidare har en tematisk analys av det empiriska materialet utifrån respektive intervju utförts där sammanlagt tre teman står i fokus. Resultatet belyser en ökning av möjligheter och förutsättningar för de eleverna med särskilda behov genom att ha en socialpedagog anställd på skolan. Det är ett kompletterande verktyg för de andra professionerna på skolan och varje elev får större chans att lära och utvecklas då socialpedagogen kan arbeta på ett mer individanpassat sätt. Vidare kompletteras de olika professionernas kunskap och expertis kring sina områden vilket respondenterna uttryckte hade visat en positiv effekt för eleverna. / The aim of the study is to get a wider understanding and an insight about the social pedagogical work in school with children who have special needs. Qualitative interviews has been conducted to find out how different professionals experience the social pedagogical work for these children. The various interviewers are a principal, a teacher, a curator and a socialpedagogue. In order to analyze and process the collected material the theory about empowerment have been applied and Thomas Scheffs theory about social bands. Furthermore, a thematic analysis of the empirical material from each interview has been conducted, in wich a total of three themes are in focus. The result of the study illustrates oppurtunities and conditions for those students with special needs by having a socialpedagogue as an employed at the school. It is a complementary tool for other professionals in the school and each student gets a better chance of learning and developing when the socialpedagogue can work in a more individually way. The various professionals knowledge and expertise about their own areas combined with eachother had shown a positive effect on the students.
