Finanční analýza španělských společností s důrazem na vyhodnocení podle oborů a podle provincií / Financial analysis of Spanish companies with an emphasis on their evaluation according to selected sectors and autonomous regionsExlerová, Lenka January 2010 (has links)
This thesis involves the financial analysis of spanish companies with an emphasis on their evaluation according to selected sectors and autonomous regions. For the purpose of the evaluation the indicators of profitability, turnover, liquidity and indebtedness are used. The autonomous regions are firstly evaluated from the point of view of the revenues of the individual sectors as part of the total turnover for the region. These practical parts are supplemented by the general but also economic characteristics of Spain. The conclusion reached following the evaluation of the individual indicators is that the most sucessful sectors are "DC -- Manufacture of leather and leather products", "DK -- Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c." and "DL -- Manufacture of electrical and optical equipment". In contrast the sectors "A -- Agricultural, hunting and forestry" and "B -- Fishing" were the least sucessful. In addition it was found, that in general, the greatest share of the revenues of the autonomous regions were in the sectors "F -- Construction", "DA -- Manufacture of food products, beverages and tobacco" and "DJ -- Manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products". In contrast the sectors of "B --fishing" and "CA -- Mining and quarrying of energy producing materials" contribute the least in terms of revenues. The greatest absolute revenue values are achieved in the autonomous region of Madrid, followed by the regions of Cataluňa and País Vasco. In contrast the Extremadura region had the lowest revenues.

Intergenerational transmission of education in Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden : How much of the parents´ education does the children inherit?Lagerlöf, Caisa January 2017 (has links)
This essay studies the intergenerational transmission of education in four European countries, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. Ordinal variables are used to distinguish between low, middle and high education for both the respondent and the respondent´s parents. The main findings are that Portugal has the highest intergenerational transmission of education from parents to children. Spain is on a second place, Norway on a third and on a last place, Sweden. Another finding is that the respondent´s that are 50-60 years old have a significantly higher risk of being low educated and a lower chance of being highly educated in comparison to the respondent´s that are 30-40 years old. Having a highly educated parent increases the chance of being highly educated and decreases the risk of being low educated in comparison to having a low educated parent. Having a low educated parent decreases the chance of being highly educated and increases the risk of being low educated in comparison to having a highly educated parent.

Nurses, practicantes and volunteers : the dissolution of practice and professional boundaries during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939)Anton-Solanas, Isabel January 2010 (has links)
A hypothetical journey from the moment a soldier was wounded to his discharge from the field hospital was detailed in order to provide an idea of the organisation of military health services, evacuation strategy and roles of health care personnel during the Spanish Civil War. It was observed that despite both Nationalists and Republicans formally banning female nurses as part of the military units stationed on the front lines, nurses working at the auto-chirs, advanced surgical units and some field hospitals often found themselves only metres from the firing lines. Both men and women volunteered to nurse the war casualties from the start. It was soon observed, however, that untrained nursing staff could often cause more harm than benefit to patients, hence training courses for both nurses and orderlies were organised by a variety of organisations and political groups all over Spain. Due to the circumstances of war, nursing experienced a clear practical development expanding its professional boundaries from core to complex procedures which, until the outbreak of war, had been the sole responsibility of another professional group known as practicante. Nursing's unchallenged evolutionary process during the Spanish Civil War was explained by a number of factors including not only the war situation itself but the large number of nurses available, their determination, adaptability and capacity to evolve in order to meet the new health care needs of the population. The impact of key individuals such as Mercedes Mil, Inspector General of all Female Hospital Personnel, in the Nationalist side, and the nurses of the International Brigades, in the Republican side, on Spanish nursing was also significant. The evidence confirmed the hypothesis that the Civil War exerted a positive impact on Spanish nursing.

PUBLIC ATTITUDE TOWARDS WIND POWER IN A DEVELOPED AND A DEVELOPING WIND MARKET – CASE STUDY OF SPAIN AND POLANDGulatowski-Henk, Marcin January 2017 (has links)
Wind power is currently one of the main sources of renewable energy worldwide. However, despite its numerous advantages, the deployment of wind turbines is not free from encounters with resistance from the society. This report reviews the principal aspects of the public attitude towards wind power. The research aims to define similarities and differences in attitude between residents of a developed and a developing wind market in Europe, Spain and Poland, respectively. A survey reveals that responses from both groups are similar in terms of the strategies employed by wind developers. The highest discordance is found within aspects of wind technology, such as the aesthetics of wind turbines and the perceived cost of wind power.

Porovnání úrovně sebevražednosti v ČR, Švédsku a Španělsku / Comparisson of the level of suicidality in the Czech Republic, Sweden and SpainAntovová, Michaela January 2012 (has links)
The thesis examines suicidality in selected countries. The main goal is to compare the level of suicidality in the Czech Republic, Sweden and Spain, and to note down identical and dissmiliar outlines. In the following part, there is compared dependence of suicides on economic indicators (gross national product per person and rate of unemployment). The highest results of gross rate of suicidality are in the Czech Republic, then in Sweden and eventually in Spain. Suicidality of men is much higher than suicidality of women. The specific rate of suicidality increases with growing age. The most used method is hanging and throttling to death. Most of suicides are commited in spring. High indirest dependece of specific rate of suicidality and gross national product per person was ascertained in all above mentioned countries. As to rate of unemployment the lower relation was ascertained only in Sweden.

Fluid inclusions and geochemistry of the Peña del Seo W-deposit, northwest Spain : Controlling mechanisms for tungsten depositionBergström, Sara January 2020 (has links)
The Peña del Seo tungsten deposit in northwestern Spain is situated in the tin (Sn)-tungsten (W) metallogenic province of Europe − one of the richest tin-tungsten (tantalum-lithium) mineral provinces in the world. The European Union’s current goal is to become self-sufficient of these commodities in the near future and the iTARG3T project was launched in order to improve the understanding and provide innovative exploration methods of these types of deposits. This master thesis will contribute to the iTARG3T project. The aim was to determine which physico-chemical conditions (temperature, pressure, salinity) that prevailed during the emplacement of the Peña del Seo deposit. A geochemical study was done consisting of a fluid inclusion study on the quartz veins from the deposit, and a whole-rock geochemistry analyse of the granitic rock. Homogenisation temperatures ranged between 97,6° C to 325,6° C and salinities (NaCl % equiv.) between 0,2% to 21,3%. The fluid was determined to consist of a two-component system of H2O and NaCl based on eutectic temperature. Based on its geochemical classification the granitic rock was considered to be an alkali granite, strongly peraluminous with S-type characteristics. At least two different types of fluids were present during the emplacement of the Peña del Seo deposit, one that was hot and with a moderate salinity, and one that had a lower temperature than the other fluid and a lower salinity, possibly meteoric water. The depositional mechanism of tungsten is thought to be caused by a combination between mixing between two fluids and cooling of the fluids, with the main depositional mechanism being cooling since the change in salinity was not of such magnitude that it would change the fluid chemical composition, while the decrease in temperature was. It is uncertain whether the granitic rock found at Peña del Seo is part of the granitic cupola of the greisen system. The granitic rock has similar characteristics as the leucogranites of the West Asturian-Leonese Zone and based on quartz vein morphology, which cut the D2 foliation, time of emplacement of the deposit could be linked to the syntectonic event at 320-310 Ma. If the relation between the granitic rock and the greisen system can be determined the time of emplacement would be possible.
