Vliv kmene pivovarských kvasinek na finální kvalitu piva

Nevrtalová, Ivana January 2016 (has links)
The diploma thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is a compilation of available publications devoted to the beer production. This theoretical summary is focused mainly on the wort fermentation and discusses important and commonly used brewing yeast strains of the bottom and top fermentation. Moreover, the metabolism of yeast cells, resources essential to their life cycle and compounds that occur in the final product are described in the thesis. The second part of the thesis is a practical part containing data from the research focused on top-fermenting yeast strains available on the Czech market. The selected top-fermenting yeast strains were used for the wort fermentation created by the unified production technology. Obtained beer samples were subsequently analysed by laboratory techniques as well as by sensory analysis. In conclusion, this thesis compares the amount of the alcohol, true extract and original wort in individual beer samples. Additionally, the amount of residual sugars, and glycerol and ethanol levels in these samples were compared by HPLC analysis.

Foraminifery spodního devonu pražského souvrství / Early Devonian Foraminifera from the Prague Formation

Vaněčková, Anna January 2012 (has links)
Lower Devonian foraminifera are known from only a few localities globally and thus are not much investigated. The taxonomy, as well as further use of this group is insufficiently known. One of the main areas of research of foraminifera is the Barrandian area in the Czech Republic. This thesis follows previous studies of this territory but focuses particulary on the Prag formation, which has proven to be rich in foraminifera communities. Taxonomic studies were conducted at two Lower Devonian sites, namely the Na Stydlých vodách quarry and the Požáry quarry. The study showed that foraminifera communities described from the Na Stydlých vodách quarry were dominated by the following genera: Hyperammina, Colonammina and Tolypammina. The highest abundance was recorded at the transition of dvorecko-prokopské limestones and řeporyje limestones and in dvorecko-prokopské limestones. At the Požáry quarry, the communities were dominated by tubular genera of Tolypammina, Hyperammina and Bathysiphon and spherical genera of Lagenammina and Colonammina. The abbundance of Colonammina is unusually high, the genus has been described rarely from other parts of the world so far.

Návrh výpustných a odběrných objektů vodního díla Nové Heřminovy / Design of outlet and intake objects of Nové Heřminovy dam

Neuvirt, Petr January 2017 (has links)
In this thesis was presented Nové Heřminovy dam with basic parameters. Requirements on bottom outlets and intake objects are presented as well. Analysis of used valves on all dams in Czech Republic was done as an underlay for suggestions of bottom outlets in this thesis. The main task was to suggest three variations of bottom outlets. Differences are in number of outlets, dimensions, placing and valves. Then variation of intake objects. Each of variation was verbally described and filled with calculations.

Studium xylitických dřev mostecke pánve metodami elektronové mikroskopie: systematika a paleoprostředí / Study of xylitic wood of the Most Basin using the electron microscopy: systematics and palaeoenvironment

Boudová, Jana January 2012 (has links)
In the Most Basin, there is a rich variety of plant macrofossils, whose findings are described for the first time already in the 19th century. The presented thesis is focused on conifer wood preserved as xylitic stumps in situ. The samples come from the so-called "stumpy horizont No. 31" situated in the roof of the main lignite seam in the Bílina Mine. A detailed xylotomical study with scanning electron microscopy allows their assignment to the Cupressaceae s.l., to the morphospecies Glyptostroboxylon rudolphii and Taxodioxylon gypsaceum.

Fyzikální model vývoje Českého masivu / Evolution of the Bohemian Massif: Insights from numerical modeling

Maierová, Petra January 2013 (has links)
The Bohemian Massif was consolidated during the Variscan orogeny (~400-300 Ma), which involved several oceanic subductions and collisions of continental micro-plates. The central part of the Bohemian Massif, the Moldanubian domain, shows a large accumulation of felsic high-pressure metamorphs. We present a numerical model of exhumation of these rocks due to continental collision and underthrusting. The key feature of the model is a felsic (light, rheologically weak and rich in radioactive elements) material in the lower crust of one of the colliding blocks. We examine the influence of the rate of convergence of the two blocks, radiogenic heating in the felsic lower crust and efficiency of erosion, on the model evolution and pressure-temperature conditions in the lower-crustal material. The models where the material is sufficiently weakened due to radiogenic heating show formation of an orogenic plateau, sedimentation in a foreland basin, and crustal thickening accompanied by gravity-driven exhumation of the lower crust and subsequent sub-horizontal flow in the middle crust. In colder and/or faster models, the thickening is dominated by folding. We correlate the tectonic style of these two types of models with differences between the high-grade rocks in the southern (Moldanubian) and northern (Sudetic) parts...

Bobrovití (Castoridae, Mammalia) ze spodnomiocénní (MN 3) lokality Ahníkov / Castorids (Castoridae, Mammalia) from the Early Miocene (MN 3) locality Ahníkov

Šmejkal, Roman January 2018 (has links)
Beavers are members of Castoridae - the family of large rodents characterized by a robust skull of sciuromorphic type, a sciurognathous mandible, dentition with a tendency to hypsodoncy and incisives by uniserial microstructure. The aim of the thesis is a detailed morphometric analysis of the fossil material of beavers coming from the early Miocene (MN 3a) locality Ahníkov I, II in the Czech Republic. In the numerous material comprising 388 fragmentary specimens, all belonging to the genus Steneofiber, two distinct species were distinguished, attributed here as - Steneofiber eseri (the larger form) and Steneofiber aff. dehmi (the smaller form). Their taxonomy, systematics and assumed position within existing phylogenetic models were discussed. Key words: Castoridae, Steneofiber, Czech republic, Ahníkov, MN 3, early Miocene

Belemniti spodní křídy lokality Štramberk: taxonomie, stratigrafie, paleoekologie, paleobiogeografie / Lower Cretaceous belemnites of the locality Štramberk: taxonomy, stratigraphy, palaeoecology, palaeobiogeography

Vaňková, Lucie January 2015 (has links)
The study (MS, diploma thesis) is based on more than 1200 belemnite rostra set from the Lower Cretaceous sediments of locality Štramberk (N Moravia). Investigated rostra come from the collection of Dr. V. Houša, who collected them during the seventies to eighties of the last century, during intensive excavation of the Lower Cretaceous tectonic block named Š-12 "pocket". Belemnite rostra were determined at species and generic levels including 7 species and 18 genera. The majority of belemnite assemblage comes from the Lower Valanginian strata, however, also the Tithonian, Berriasian and Hauterivian taxa are present, what clearly documents the redeposition. The presence of mesohibilitids, known from the Barremian and younger deposits, still remains enigmatic. For better understanding of the redeposition proces, the alveolar infill formed by several generations of sediments, are investigated. Study of these sediments outlines the sedimentary development of the Baška elevation inside the Outer Carpathian system. Preliminary stable isotope data δ18 O and δ13 C received from belemnite rostra show different belemnite life-style during the ontogeny - i.e. juvenile bottom life style and adults inhabiting shallow/warmer waters. Negative values of δ18 O should be correlated with the "Valanginian extinction...
