PROBLÉM HMOTNÉHO SVĚTA: VIRGINIE WOOLFOVÁ JAKO NEDUALISTICKÁ A PROCESUÁLNÍ MYSLITELKA / THE PROBLEM OF THE FIXITY OF TABLES: VIRGINIA WOOLF AS A NON-DUALIST AND PROCESS-ORIENTED THINKER

Krajíčková, Veronika January 2021 (has links)
1 Abstract This doctoral thesis focuses on the analogies between Virginia Woolf's "personal philosophy" and Alfred North Whitehead's process philosophy, or in his own words "philosophy of organism." The thesis does not claim that Whitehead's thought directly influenced Woolf's fiction, rather, it makes use of a zeitgeist model. The two contemporaries shared the rejection of long-established dualisms, particularly the Cartesian mind-body dualism, the binaries of subject and object, animate and inanimate matter, the human and the nonhuman, and last but not least the individual and the community. Interested in the philosophical enquiry into the problem of reality and the visible world, Woolf redefines the notion of "things" in her fiction and adopts the processist view that objects may be defined as clusters of events, which are not separate from the perceiving subject but interrelated with it. Moreover, Woolf illustrates her interest in the natural world in most of her works and often suggests that what we normally think to be inert and lifeless matter, may, in fact, also have some proto-conscious, or proto- experiential, qualities like Whitehead's "actual occasions." The second part of the thesis focuses on Woolf's attempt to overcome one's individual identity in favour of adopting a more inclusive and...

Aplikace polymerních membrán v mikroextrakčních technikách pro analýzy biologických vzorků / Application of polymer membranes in microextraction techniques for analysis of biological samples

Ryšavá, Lenka January 2018 (has links)
The thesis presents experimental study on application of various polypropylene membranes (with different thicknesses, porosity and pore size) for direct coupling of membrane microextractions with capillary electrophoresis. No comprehensive study, which describes effect of these membrane parameters on extraction recoveries, was published in the past. Previous scientific works prefer application of 100 µm polypropylene membranes for their easy handling and satisfactory extraction efficiencies. Experimental part includes examination of selected polypropylene membranes as supported liquid membranes in-line coupled to capillary electrophoresis for analysis of basic drugs from complex samples. Membranes with three thicknesses (25, 100 and 170 µm) were tested. The highest extraction recoveries were achieved for the 25µm thick polypropylene membrane. Various pH conditions of donor and acceptor operational solutions were examined for extractions from real complex matrices (urine, plasma). The optimal extraction conditions were 10 mM NaOH as donor phase and 10 mM HCl as acceptor phase. 25µm membranes offer higher extraction recoveries, reduced consumption of organic solvents for membrane impregnation, similar mechanical stability and similar clean-up ability compared to thicker polypropylene membranes.

Příprava nástroje pro aplikaci metody lokalizace nesymetrické poruchy / Development of the tool for application of the method for localization of unsymmetrical faults

Pospíšil, Tomáš January 2018 (has links)
In resonant earthed distribution systems, the capacitive current of the system is compensated by grounding via a arc suppression coil. The level of fault current is then very small and independent on the fault location which greatly complicates the rapid finding of the fault site. At this moment there is no method to be used to directly locate the site of a single-phase fault in the distribution network, new methods and solutions are being constantly sought to address the shortcomings of the existent localization methods. The diploma thesis deals with the design of a universal software tool that allows to apply a new method of locating an asymmetric fault in the distribution network. The tool is created in a MATLAB environment and utilizes the negative sequence voltage measured on the low-voltage sides of the distribution transformers and the negative sequence current measured behind the power transformer. By using the proposed tool, it is possible to read the parameters of any part of the distribution system that the user enters together with the measured values of the voltage and current into the initialization file. After the specified network parameters are loaded, a numerical model is created, which is then used for the method. In the work is described in detail the way of entering the parameters of the network into the initialization file, the method of automatic assembling of the numerical model based on the entered data and the possibility of customizing the calculation parameters. At the end of the thesis, the functionality of the proposed software tool is verified on data from simulation of the test network.

Numerický model uspořádání dutých vláken v tepelném výměníku / Numerical model of hollow fiber arrangement in heat exchanger

Cabalová, Klára January 2020 (has links)
This paper deals with the topic of numerical arrangement of fibers in a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is scanned in an industrial tomograph and the acquired data are represented by the field of voxels. The method used in this paper is based on tracing the fiber fragments through the use of image analysis and the subsequent numerical connection of the fragments. The result is a set of fibers that are represented by points in the field through which they are passing.

Kontaminace životního prostředí musk sloučeninami / Contamination of environment of musk compounds

Tobková, Lenka January 2015 (has links)
Synthetic musk compounds are artificial organic substances commonly used as fragrant constituents of personal care products as parfums, cosmetics, detergents, in-house cleaning and washing agents. Given their large area of applications and their ability to be persistent, they leaked into all parts of ecosystem, especially aquatic one. There have been a big focus on studiyng these compounds, their properties and fate in the different parts of ecosystems in the last years. The aim of master's thesis was carry out the determination of five representatives (habanolide, exaltolide, ambrettolide, musk MC4 and ethylene brassylate) of macrocyclic musk compounds in waste water samples from influent and effluent of three water treatment plants (WWTP Brno-Modřice, WWTP Lednice and WWTP Mikulov). One of the main tasks was to perform a method optimisation for the determination of selected musk compounds in waste water and evaluation and interpretation of the results. Solid phase microextraction (SPME) technique was used for the extraction of analytes, consequently gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was used for analysis of selected analytes. Following evaluation the removal efficiency of musk compounds in the waste water treatment plant was assessed.

Generování transientního signálu pro účely testování ochran a indikátorů poruch / Generating of the fault record for protection and fault indicator testing

Bažata, Petr January 2011 (has links)
The thesis is focused on a presentation of a model creating which is followed by the simulation of running real network with using the compensatory elements to minimize the incurred failures. This thesis is divided into two thematic parts – the first theoretical one deals with the basis structuring of short-circuit faults and more detailed study of ineffective ground connection. Particularly this part attends to the problematic of a network description with extinguishing suppression. Using the compensation minimizes the impact of the failure state. A short-term fixing of a resistor improves the function of the ground-fault protection and helps to detect the outgoing section damaged by the defect. Furthermore the thesis indicates simulation programs, compares them and chooses the most suitable one for the next practical part. This is focused on a simulation of a real network run, together with elements for an effective defect-reduction or easier detection of ground connection. As a simulation of a ground short-circuit is the model in the end of the thesis modified on a network with an effective grounded bundle. Testing of the model correctness and creating a record of a model using the real ground protection settings is also one part of this thesis.

Testování zemních směrových ochran pomocí experimentálně získaných poruchových záznamů / Testing of Directional Earth Fault Protections Using The Experimentally Obtained Fault Records

Holub, Martin January 2014 (has links)
Master thesis Testing of Directional Earth Fault Protections Using the Experimentally Obtained Fault Records deals with the protective functions of earth fault protections during earth faults in compensated medium voltage distribution network and their testing options. At the beginning of the thesis we charakterize operation of medium voltage distribution system in general. We begin with definition and characteristics of earth fault and its compartmentalization by the type of the fault, size of the transition resistance and duration. We also mention grounding methods of node winding transformer on medium voltage distribution network and we describe the most common of them in detail, i.e. network grouded through the arc suppression coil and its operation with automatic switching auxiliary resistor. In this part of the thesis we discuss the localization of the earth fault using passive static methods in compensated systems, which include wattmetric, admittance and conductance method. In next section we deal with the fault records stored in COMTRADE file format, its structure and all elements of its configuration and data file. We create and describe an example of converting ADF file format, recorded by Yokogawa oscilloscope fault recorder, into COMTRADE file format using Microsoft Excel program and M-File created in the MATLAB program. In the practical part we introduce workspace devices and software, which includes secondary testing equipment OMICRON CMC 256plus and its software OMICRON Test Universe with Advance Transplay test module, we further describe multifunctional earth fault protection RYo from PROTECTION & CONSULTING, s. r. o. and machine terminal REM 543 from ABB and their protective functions. The last part describes the actual testing of parallel connected earth fault protection with COMTRADE fault records by Advance Transplay test module in the OMICRON Test Universe. In the conclusion we describe evaluation of the suitability of each protective functions of earth fault protection in a variety of sizes the transition resistance at the earth fault location.
