Analýza hltnosti pojistného ventilu na napájecí vodě / The feedwater safety valve flow capacity analysis

Fialová, Michaela January 2011 (has links)
In this thesis I review the sufficient flow capacity of the safety valve against high-pressure heater thermal pressurization in high-pressure feedwater heater on nuclear power Dukovany. I present basic possible cases of thermal pressurization both a high node heater, and the extended pressure unit in case of closure all power heads to steam generators.

Modifikace utěsnění víka primárního kolektoru PG VVER 1000 / The flange gasket modification of SG VVER 1000 primary collector

Pransperger, Jan January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with the replacement of the lid gasket of the primary collector of the steam generator VVER 1000. Original sealing by nickel rings is replaced by kammprofile gasket with expanded graphite layers. The thesis compare the properties of both types of gaskets and the new and the original configuration of flange joint which have been calculated according to EN 1591. The results are compared and conclusions arising therefrom are presented. The work includes results of FEM analysis of the new configuration of the flange joint. There is also a description of the main components of the nuclear power plants VVER 1000 primary circuit in the introductory part which focused on the construction and operation of the steam generator and its primary collector.

Modifikace utěsnění víka primárního kolektoru PG VVER 440 / The flange gasket modification of SG VVER 440 primary collector

Blažková, Eva January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to address issues concerning the sealing of the lid for the primary collector within the steam generator (SG) of the nuclear power plant VVER 440. These steam generators are sealed in the original design by nickel rings. Modifying the existing method of sealing by a new type of sealing material, primarily from expanded graphite, can significantly reduce the pressure in the sealing surface and also stress in bolts and flanged joints. The new solution of sealing between the joint of collector and the lid should extend the life of joints and thus the nuclear and technical safety. The text is divided into the theoretical and computational part. A principle of the SG, the SG design, and a description of the joint and lid are mentioned in the theoretical part. The computational part shows calculations of the new joint, the original one, and comparison of both solutions in terms of technical and nuclear safety. The work contains drawing of the new joint.

Návrh parního generátoru pro modulární reaktor / Design of the steam generator for modular reactor

Černý, Marian January 2012 (has links)
Subject of this thesis is design of the steam generator for modular reactor. The dissertation consist of the theoretical part, where are described heat-exchangers and steam generators used in nuclear power plants. Second part contains theoretical calculations in the first approach (thermal, hydraulic and strenght calculation). In the next part are particular variants of steam generator selected. For the final variant are necessary calculations (introduced above) and drawings of selected parts are done. In the final statement is technical solution evaluated, and the parameters of the steam generator are compared with actually used steam generators.

Návrh dvoutlakého horizontálního kotle na odpadní teplo / Proposal of horizontal dual-pressure heat recovery steam generator

Slíva, Karel January 2016 (has links)
The focus of this thesis is a proposal of a horizontal dual-pressure heat recovery steam generator. The introductory part includes thermal calculation, as well as a design of the layout and a design of the heat transfer surfaces and the layout of the boiler. Individual chapters are broken down according to the outline of the proposal for the arrangement of the heating surfaces, according to the parameters of the flue gas and steam. The master thesis contains a scheme of a real heat transfer temperature diagram and it also includes the calculation of connecting and downcomer pipes and drums. The final part describes the calculation of the boiler draft loss. The main idea of the thesis is accompanied by the technical documentation of the drawing of the boiler.

Producing Electricity in Power Plant

Khabrana, Ahmed, Ageeli, Jaber January 2015 (has links)
Abstract This Bachelor thesis has been written at the Blekinge Institute of Technology. The thesis describes electricity production in Shoaiba Steam Power plant in Saudi Arabia. Shoaiba Power Plant is located 100 km South of Jeddah city in Saudi Arabia. Total power production ability reaches 4400 MW. Shoaiba Power Plant has two stages and is constructed with 11 units, each unit produces 400 MW at line voltage 24 kV and line current 16 kA. Main pieces of equipment and their function in the station are as follows: A Steam Generator (boiler), produces steam by burning natural gas or crude oil in the furnace. The steam is superheated and is passed into a steam turbine, which converts the thermal energy of the steam into mechanical power, in form of rotary motion. The turbine drives a generator, which converts the rotary energy of the turbine into electric power. Steam generator, steam turbine and electrical generator are components that are described in the thesis. When the flow of steam to the turbine is controlled, then the amount of thermal energy that changes to mechanical energy in the steam turbine is controlled. The electrical generator is where the final energy conversion takes place. The mechanical energy from the turbine is converted by the generator into electrical energy, which is transmitted to the service area by help of electrical transmission lines. The plant cycle is an essential part of the energy flow path. Without the plant cycle, the conversion of thermal energy into mechanical energy would not occur, The plant cycle is a closed loop that allows the same water to be used over and over again. Always, the power plants are situated far from residential areas and located outside cities and close to the sea, because the steam is produced from seawater. The advantages of the steam power stations are as follows: They can produce high amounts of electrical energy from small amounts of fuel. They have low initial costs, obstetrics and maintenance costs are not high, and the stations do not need much space to be built and they have usually high capacity. The disadvantages of steam stations are the following: They cause environmental pollution, they have low efficiency, and require very big quantities of cooling water, and the stations must be built away from populated areas. / Conclusion: Converting in steam power plant is one of many ways to produce electrical energy in the world. It can be done in any country because it can be done with different chemical sources. In Saudi Arabia we use oil, because it easier and cheaper than any other chemical source for us. As any country would use what is better for them. The thesis has described circulation system in Shoaiba power plant by converting chemical energy to thermal energy in the boiler, then the turbine converts thermal energy to mechanical energy. Then the mechanical energy is converted to electrical energy in the generator. The advantages of the steam stations are as follows: production of high amounts of electrical energy from small amounts of fuel, low cost of the initial costs, obstetrics and maintenance costs are not high, the station does not need much space to build and they are usually high capacity. The disadvantages of steam stations are the following: environmental pollution, low efficiency, requires very big amounts of cooling water, and these stations must be built away from population areas. / 0706397524

Systémy přeměn energie pro jaderné elektrárny se sodíkem chlazeným reaktorem (SFR) / Energy conversion systems for nuclear power plants with soduim fast reactor (SFR)

Netopilová, Petra January 2011 (has links)
The aim of the dissertation is proposing and solving energy convection systems for nuc-lear power plants with a sodium fast reactor of the 4th generation. The first part of the dissertation deals with collection and evaluation of information available about nuclear power plants with sodium fast reactor which use nuclear or non-nuclear reheating to increase thermal efficiency. On the basis of the acquired information, thermal schemes are developed and thermal effi-ciency is determined for the systems working in both Rankine thermal cycle and Brayton thermal cycle. In the further part of the dissertation thermal calculation of the reheater for nuclear and non-nuclear reheating is made for the systems working in Rankine thermal cycle. At the end of this dissertation, an apparatus suitable for these systems is suggested and the systems are evaluated in terms of technical implementation and nuclear safety.
