Studien har som syfte att utveckla en teoretisk modell som ska bidra till en identifiering avekonomiska förluster i form av stopptid, samt finna förbättringsåtgärder åt de identifieradeproblemorsakerna. En modell utvecklades från den teoretiska REP-metoden, som grundar sigpå fyra olika faser. För att författarna skulle kunna lyckas med studien krävdes detmodifikationer på REP-metoden. Den teoretiska modellen utvecklades med positiva resultat,då förbättringsåtgärder för fallföretagets problem kunde identifieras.
