The Master´s thesis is focused on evaluation of performance in the company by using the Balanced Scorecard. Theoretical part describes the concept of Balanced Scorecard, the process for its implementation and the possible risks. In the next part of the thesis there is introduced COFELY a.s., there are performed some analysis of internal and external business environment, financial analysis and there is a proposal to implement the concept of Balanced Scorecard. In conclusion of the thesis summarizes the risks and benefits of this method for the analyzed company.

The Master’s thesis is focused on evaluation the performance of the company NEPA. The theoretical part includes the definition of business performance concepts and the presentation of the assessment methodology. This part continues in the description of selected types of strategic analyses. There is an introduction of the company, its activities, strategic and financial analyses in analytic part. That is important for inscription and the base of Balanced Scorecard concept. Based on these findings a Balanced Scorecard implementation proposal is for the analyzed company. In the conclusion, this is completed with relevant proposals.

This diploma thesis investigates the topic of strategic management of human resources in the selected healthcare organization. The aim of thesis is to define short-term and long-term strategic goals of human resources management connected to the basic mission and vision of the department in the healthcare organization. The development of appropriate strategic objectives will be based on the analysis of the internal environment and also will include the results of analysis of external environment. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis involves chapters about human resources as part of strategic management, its history and possible views on that. Other chapters define the human resources management in healthcare, what are the prerequisites for successful management and strategy development. This is also related to personnel management tasks. Afterwards, the specific relevant focus is on ensuring human resources from the point of view of the organization - human resources planning, recruitment and selection of employees, the subsequent adaptation process and staff evaluation. The research examines the management of performance appraisal at institutions of higher learning: a case of the University of South Africa (Unisa). Focus is placed on the Unisa, specifically the two administrative departments, DSAR and PGAD in the centre of providing a service to the most important client, the student. The Integrated Performance Management System (IPMS) Policy is a tailor-made system that provides a systematic process for managing the cycle of events associated with ensuring that individual employees achieve their agreed performance outcomes and the university reaches its strategic goals. To enhance and contribute to the effective management of performance, at Unisa, it is necessary to research the performance appraisal system, a process in place to measure the performance of employees, using a performance rating or score to indicate the level of performance. Performance measurement is utilised by organisations to identify the strengths and developmental areas of employee and relations between the employee and the manager a need to facilitate successful operations. Provide feedback to the employees and management respectively, show flaws identified, suggested improvements to the system.
