The topic of the diploma thesis is the influence of a low-carbohydrate diet on the treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus. It is an autoimmune disease for which it is necessary for patients to administer insulin. The selection of suitable sports activities, good health and mental condition and, above all, the adjustment of eating habits also contribute to the successful compensation of diabetes. This work demonstrates a low-carbohydrate diet as one of the possibilities diabetics can eat. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part briefly describes the disease and presents the recommended and a low- carbohydrate diet. The following section also addresses physical activity. It describes the issues of sports for people with diabetes who are on a regular diet, as well as on low-carbohydrate diet. The practical part shows the results of glucose sensors (Free Style Libre, Dexcom G6 and Medtronic), which continuously measure blood sugar levels. In the practical part, eight respondents with type 1 diabetes, who switched the recommended diet for a low-carbohydrate diet, were surveyed in the form of a questionnaire. (anglicky): Migration includes a lot of aspects and a lot of scientific disciplines focus on this. One of these aspects is integration, which we can perceive in this case as integration of immigrants into host country society. Approaches and methods of integration can be different depending on ambiguity of this term. This dissertation is focused on specific example of effort to integrate women immigrants with help of traditional food, which came from the ground of civil association InBáze, o.s. The association developed a project named Ethnocatering which helps to immigrants to become successful on job market via their own experience from gastronomy and it`s supporting itself by social entrepreneurship. Women from different countries of the world then have an opportunity to prepare specialties typical for countries they come from and introduce those to the local society. This essay is focused on immigrants from countries such as South Caucasus - Georgia and Armenia and also on traditional food typical for these countries. Title: Lifestyle diseases prevention by adequate lifestyle, healthy diet and physical activities within the corporate culture Goal: Introduce a draft of corporate program for health care based on information acquired from written questionnaire and analysis of approach to health in the Czech Republic, and also based on materials from the Institute of Health Information and Statistics in Czech Republic. Methods: Primary quantitative data were chosen as a data source. Primary quantitative data were collected by written questionnaire. A primary set are employees of five selected companies. Secondary set are 100 respondents who demonstrate a representative sample. Information obtained from the Institute of Health Information and Statistics in Czech Republic are secondary data which were collected within a nationwide statistics. Results: Particular questions from written questionnaire were processed and obtained results are presented in pie charts. Secondary data are processed and presented by scripts, charts and tables. Subject: Macrobiotic - full-valued form of nutrition? Objective: Evaluation of macrobiotics as full compensation for conventional diets recommended by the Presidium of the Board of the Society for Nutrition based on the oretical approaches and empirical findings. Characteristics of the ingredients and nutritional analysis in terms of the in impact on physical and mental condition of the human organism. Method: Objectives of the thesis was achieved using method of quotas to select research sample. On the basis of established criteria and defined number of representatives for the sample, were selected only thoseind ividuals who meet these criteria. Macrobiotic menus were analyzedat three men and at free women. The data obtained via measure ments were compared with recommended daily dose. This model was chosen as it was the most recent vision of the diet model. Results: Macrobiotic diet reprents full-fledged alternative form of nutrition, based on research carried out. This conclusion is based on research conducted with free men and free women who provided weekly menus for analysis purpose and conversion to these menus to the nutritional value was sufficiently proved. This thesis deals with nutrition of preschool children. It concentrates on the issue of eating in nursery schools. The theoretical part contains characteristics of a preschool child development and information on the basic components of nutrition and its importance to the human body. I mentioned the influence of dietary habits on the healthy development of the child population and analysed the negative factors that could adversely affect this development. The practical part includes directed interviews with staff of kindergartens in district Prachatice and comparison between current diets and diets before 1989 in these institutions. The intention was to find differences between these diets. With the change in the political system new possibilities opened up. School canteens can experiment with new recipes, diets include new healthy foods.
