The aim of this thesis is an innovative approach to design of machines for waterjet cutting with technical, aesthetic, ergonomic and ecological requirements. The work focuses on the interaction between user and machine in small batch operation.

The topic of this master’s thesis is design of ride-on scrubber-dryer. The thesis concerns own design, which is based on findings from the analysis of the current state of knowledge.

Contents of this graduation thesis is the proposal of design machine for producing soft ice cream of the stand type specified for store spaces. Part of the thesis is the design, marketing and technical analysis. The main part is dedicated to the design process itself, which result should be the final design meeting all functional, structural, technological, aesthetic and ergonomic requirements.

The theoretical study of this thesis deals with different approaches that can be used to optimize the topology of various structures. Main attributes and principles which they are based on of individual methods are discussed. The first point of the practical part is to design the model for computational analysis of stand and other machining centre parts based on real machine TOS FU. Afterwards, the model is analyzed to determine the dynamic characteristic of the machine. Subsequently, several changes of the stand design are performed in order to improve the dynamic behavior. Eventually, new stand kernel is designed which aims to enhance these dynamic characteristic. This model is analyzed again and the results are compared with the original form of the machining centre.

The main subject of this Master’s thesis is a review of turbo-charger efficiency with split turbine channel in the process of various types of supercharging and also with diverse designs of so called divider of turbine channels. I used CFD simulation utilizing Star CCM+ software. A model of turbocharger and mesured data came from commercial model. Efficiency is evaluated on the basis of performance distributed to the turbine with similar input conditions for both steady and unsteady process. For better understanding of this subject I also included theoretical basics of supercharging of combustion engines and fluid dynamics.

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou virtualizace, konkrétně virtualizační knihovnou libvirt, cílem které je správa virtuálních strojů a podpora různých typů hypervizorů a virtualizačních řešení jednotným způsobem transparentním pro uživatele. Podstatná část funkcionality knihovny libvirt je na pozadí implementována formou démona libvirtd. Ačkoliv libvirtd démon poskytuje služby pro správu virtuálních strojů, neumožňuje správu sebe samého, kromě změn hodnot parametrů v konfiguračním souboru. Pro změnu nastavení je pak standardním přístupem změna v konfiguračním souboru a následný restart démona. Jelikož uvedený způsob mění pouze perzistentní konfiguraci a restart démona nemusí být vždy optimální řešení, vznikla idea administrativního rozhraní knihovny libvirt, které by umožnilo správu démona za běhu. Hlavním přínosem této práce je návrh a popis implementace aplikačního rozhraní pro administraci knihovny libvirt. Konkrétně pro tuto práci byla zvolena rozhraní pro konfiguraci počtu obslužných vláken, nastavení úrovně a filtrovacích parametrů pro žurnálovací podsystém a správu připojených klientů na straně démona libvirtd.

The main topic of this diploma thesis is the relationship of movie and human perception. Movie is a purely technical medium that moves images for the first time. The starting point of the work is the book written by French cultural theorist Paul Virilio and his reflections on film and technology. Virilio's position is negative in many ways due to cinematography. He blames technology for horrors inflicted during world wars. Cinematography is guilty of a revolution of perception that leads to the decomposition of the vision and the disintegration of the classical dimensions of space and time. In my work Virilio's views are confronted with the reflections of Virilio's contemporary, also the French theorist, Gilles Deleuze. Deleuze understands movie in many ways differently than Virilio. Also his opinion on the technique is quite different. The movie after World War II is a medium that no longer attempts to imitate natural perception. Such film can cause a shock to the audience. This shock opens up new possibilities of thinking and perception, and the viewer gains the opportunity to achieve a specific spiritual life through a movie.

The master's thesis discusses basic elements of metaphysics by René Descartes. The first part of the thesis focuses on his personal life because certain events shaped and influenced his further actions and ideas. To understand the context of time, the paper presents history knowledge that is relevant to the topic. René Descartes is still known today for his philosophical ideas which helped to develop findings in the field of metaphysics. During his lifetime, that is the first half of the 17th century, natural sciences were gaining in popularity. The thesis follows up with mathematization and geometrization of nature. Descartes' basic premise of knowledge is methodical skepticism which ultimately results in his first personal certainty of philosophy. Next part focuses on the clarification of the dualistic concept of two different substances - rez extensa and res cogitans. The largest and most important part deals with the mechanical conception of the human body. René Descartes believes that the human body is a machine operated by mechanical principles. The thesis introduces a systematic description of the body which logically justifies the primary ideas of this French philosopher. This diploma thesis titled Proposal for Modernization of the Bojkovice Sawmill deals with the analysis of the Bojkovice sawmill operation and with the proposal for the increase of production capacity. The thesis summarizes basic information about the company DATO-FOREST s.r.o., i.e. the Bojkovice sawmill. It deals with the present state of the sawmill operation, with production downtime tracking, as well as with the analysis of these problems. The practical part offers three options of these problems, proposals for the increase of production capacity, drawing documentation, and calculation of payback period. Individual solutions were compared from both economic and production effectivity point of view. One of these three options was chosen and processed in detail.

The master´s thesis contained basic information about the method of thermodynamic efficiency of hydraulic machines. The first part briefly mentioned our opinion on the most widely used method for determining the efficiency of hydraulic machines. Another section of thesis is characterization and measurement procedure using the thermodynamic method. Another section describes measurements of water plants and laboratory measurements, which took place in the past. The final part describes the results of laboratory measurements, which took place in the lab of VUT FSI Brno, and evaluating and comparing the results.
