Urbanismo sustentável e o paradigma da resiliência. Aplicações em planejamento e projeto: estudos de caso nas intervenções urbanas da Línea K em Medellín, sistema teleférico do Complexo do Alemão e Parque Sitiê no Vidigal / Sustainable urbanism and the resilience paradigm. Applications in planning and project design process: Line K\'s urban interventions in Medellín, cable car system at Alemão Complex and Sitiê Park at Vidigal case studies.

Tiago Brito da Silva 27 April 2017 (has links)
The present dissertation aims to discuss the importance of a resilient posture in the search for a sustainable urbanism. The term \"sustainable\" and its variants have gone through a wear and tear through the last few decades, forming a barrier which prejudices its effective application. The \"resilience\" term then appears as a way of revisiting this matter, through a concept derived from physics, that allows a theoretical transposition to architecture and urbanism disciplines in which the subject can cooperate in the formulation of new tools and concepts that can be applied into planning and project design process. Over the theoretical conception, it is intended the contribution on the elaboration of a resilient attitude and therefore promotes the term \"urban resilience\" towards the current urban crisis, caused by the dramatical growth of the world urbanization and the consequent population cluster within cities. In developing countries, the approach can be very useful, given that the urban crisis is strengthened by the rise of informality and the formation of new urban networks at the edge of planning actions. The concept of resilience, in this case, enables a discussion focused on spontaneity issues, improvisations, changes and transformations, inherent to the urban condition, discussed within a Complex Adaptive Systems approach. However to elaborate a reflexive analysis it is necessary to verify the transformation of theory into practice from three urban projects already implemented: Line K\'s urban interventions in Medellín, Colombia, cable car system at Alemão Complex and Sitiê Park, both in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In conclusion, an adaptive and complex systemic view of resilience has the potential to promote an interrelationship between society, economy and environment during the construction of an urban environment and therefore encourage a new attitude towards the diffusion of Sustainable Urbanism.

Hållbar dagvattenhantering i Norra Djurgårdsstaden / Sustainable Stormwater Management in Swedish Royal Seaport

Glaad, Cecilia, Johansson, Susanne January 2022 (has links)
The compact city stands in front of climate changes. For instance increased precipitation. To manage this change, open stormwater solutions have been implemented that will contribute to multifuncion and sustainability. The purpose with this paper is to examine sustainable stormwater management in the planning process in Stockholm Royal Seaport with focus on architecture. This is going to be answered with two issues that deal with both challenges and opportunities that officials experience in the planning process. Also when involving architecture in sustainable stormwater management.  The study is based on qualitative methods; document analysis and semi-structured interviews. The result shows that it’s expensive, requires time, demands broad cooperation with multiple managements which Stockholm Royal Seaport have succeeded well with. The municipality has difficulties to impact the design in the development district and architecture risks being put aside in the planning process because other functions get higher prioritization.

A metodologia Charrette Design no desenvolvimento do Empreendimento Pedra Branca SC / The Charrette Design Methodology in Enterprise Development Pedra Branca SC

Oliveira, Marcia Mikai Junqueira de 03 December 2014 (has links)
This research aimed to investigate the application of the methodology used Charrette Design for the development of the enterprise Pedra Branca project from its second phase of implementation, which was conceived the central region. Pedra Branca is situated in the municipality of Palhoça, Santa Catarina, and is under construction. Principles of New Urbanism were incorporated, its leaders involved in the process, consulting (including international), different architectural firms and engineering, academic laboratories, Federal University of Santa Catarina and interested parties (stakeholders), a transdisciplinary approach. The understanding of organizational culture and learning management tools are part of a framework of innovations needed to provide collaborative environments toward the implementation of a more sustainable and creative urban planning. The survey allowed us to understand the applicability of the methodology, its incorporation into the company culture, openness to incorporate new concepts in whole and in parts. In a yet broader context it is concluded that Pedra Branca has been shown in practice as a \"learning organization\" in the formulation of Senge (2009). The project was recognized and awarded internationally.

Urbanisticko – architektonická studie areálu pro šetrný turismus Strachotín. / Eco-friendly tourism complex Strachotín – urban and architectural study

Iatsenko, Ganna January 2019 (has links)
This thesis offers an urban solution for the landscape near the village of Strachotín. The work is based on the need for a plan to develop the selected landscape. The project looks for the most suitable way to arrange the premises and the buildings located there functionally and spatially. The work aims to provide a concept that works in the context of tourism development, economic potential and the natural conditions of the region. The object chosen for study is an eco-farm, which includes stables for horses, horse riding facilities, accommodation for guests and restaurants. For the architectural design we have chosen the horse stable. The proposal is based on the need to solve the whole territory comprehensively, taking into account wider municipal and landscape links. The task was to propose the optimal functional and spatial arrangement of the locality, especially the farm for agrotourism and to offer selected additional functions.Another important question is how to proceed when designing an organic farm in the Czech Republic and what specific points to focus on in the proposal. The aim of the work and the solution that it wants to achieve is to generalize the principles of designing a new modern organic farm using the principles of ecological and energy-efficient architecture, renewable energy sources and waste-free management. The work represents a new direction for the development of settlements within landscape urbanism. The aim of the thesis is to show that it is not necessary to use the latest technologies and radical architectural concepts to create a comfortable and “green” rural area or public space. The idea behind the creation of the complex was the integration of Czech regional flora into the rural area with its buildings, materials and the feelings of its inhabitants. Therefore, other questions arise - what is characteristic of the Czech countryside? What is the purpose of rural life? What is rural identity? The main features of the traditional Czech countryside are castles, churches, ponds, trees, hills, fields, and livestock. The design of the organic farm seeks to achieve a certain overlap in the concept of the identity of the village and the education of children through attractive spaces where people and nature interact. The proposed diverse space of the organic farm will complement the missing traditional elements in the village, such as the pond, meeting rooms, orchard and countryside trails. In this way, the farm allows a confrontation between housing conditions and the landscape. The area is in contrast with the village of Strachotín, but it is designed in such a way that the two spaces join together in harmony. At some point, the differences between nature and the community disappear. The horse farm offers riding lessons, historical sightseeing tours, horse riding summer camps, and a horse riding farm. The project has a capacity of 20 stalls for horses. The farm is also very suitable for show jumping, exhibitions, horse auctions, hobby races and other one-off events. Another attractive tourist area is the location on the bank of the Věstonice reservoir. It is planned not only as a beautiful space for walking or cycling, but also as an area for various public events, such as farmers' markets. Thanks to the proposed variability of spaces and attractions, the farm can serve all year round and people will spend more time in the rural environment.
