Tělo jako zdroj a nositel informace a emoce / Body as a source and a carrier of information and emotion

Vacke, Ondřej January 2015 (has links)
In my diploma thesis I will explore the body language of actors in detail and describe my own practical experience. Most of my experiences come from performance training, which I have gained whilst attending The Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). In the first part I describe physical movement in the early days of theater. Then I focus on analysing the concepts of nonverbal communication and its usage on the stage. I explore various different performance spaces and analyze their influence on the subsequent differences in physical acting-expressionism. The aim of my thesis is to explain how we can use our bodies during the process of preparing for performance and what can affect it. The benefit of this approach is the subsequent self-reflection, which forced me to deeply develop the basic techniques of physical communication. To be specific, the physical movements which lead to the transmission of emotion, feelings and information to the viewer.

Úprava vzhledu těla jako kulturní symbol / Body modifications as a cultural symbol

Růžičková, Petra January 2013 (has links)
This master thesis focuses on body modifications, mainly tattooing. The aim is to present the tattooing in a broader context and show its link to many aspects of people's lives that was evident especially in traditional tribal societies before the colonization era. The attention is paid to the Maori culture and the Marquesas Islands because their tattoos used to have high art value and formed the inseparable part of the inhabitants' lives. At the same time it describes the up-to-date situation in the western culture, where the body modification is very popular. It also mentions the current tattoo projects happening in the Czech Republic. Information are taken from several books available in Czech, especially the work written by Martin Rychlík "Tetování, skarifikace a jiné zdobení těla" and many electronic books in English. Information about the tattoo and body art news comes from the websites where the interested people meet and write their observations and articles about the present events. The conclusion shows that body modifications and body adornments are as old as a mankind. They appear in all cultures and do not have only the aesthetic function. They are the important source of information about social position, family relation, wealth, past experience, etc. Tattoos and the other body...

HUMAN BODY COMPOSITION DURING ONTOGENESIS

Koukou, Aikaterini January 2015 (has links)
1. ABSTRACT This diploma thesis refers to human body composition and its alterations by physiological and pathological processes that occur during different stages of life. Fat mass, fat free mass and total body water represent the major components of the human body which are modified during infancy, childhood, puberty, pregnancy and adulthood. Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), Dual Energy Absorptiometry (DEXA), Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) are some methods which are utilized for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of the body composition according to nutritional and pathological state of each individual, targeting the optimal clinical outcome. During growth, the amount of total body water elevates through infancy but it gradually declines in the next stages of life. Fat mass or total body fat possesses higher values during infancy, pregnancy and aging whereas it increases preferentially in female population at puberty. Muscle mass is elevated significantly in males during puberty and declines gradually due to aging. Osteoporosis, obesity and wasting diseases such as anorexia, cachexia and sarcopenia provoke severe disturbances in body composition compartments resulting in high rates of morbidity and mortality of the population.

Energetický výdej a utilizace nutričních substrátů u pacientů se sepsí v průběhu hospitalizace na JIP / Energy expenditure and utilization of nutritive substrates in septic patients during hospitalization in ICU

Hladová, Eliška January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this work were examinations of septic patiens to determinate energy expenditure and the utilization of nutritional substrates and to compare results of examinations to standart recommendations of ESPEN for patient's nutrition. For investigations was used indirect calorimetry. Our group of septic patients consisted of three men and three women from 58 to 73 years old. The lenght of the hospital stay was different, so the group was heterogenous and each patient was in different phase of sepsis. Five of six patients were in hypermetabolism. The value of energy expenditure was from 87,3 % to 176,2 %. Average energy expenditure was 1790,3 ± 414,9 kcal/ kg/ day and average energy of nutrition was 2080,2 ± 754,7kcal/ kg/ day. As for nutritional substrates, average income of carbohydrates was 257,9 ± 109,9 g/ den. Average utilization of carbohydrates was 83,9 ± 62,1 g/ day. So the intake of carbohydrates were significantly higher, than the utilization. Average income of lipids was 63,6 ± 15,7 g/ day and average utilization was 102,1 ± 61,8 g/ day. There was also significant diference between lipid utilization and lipid intake. Average income of proteins was 127,4 ± 61,7 g/ day. Average utilization of proteins was 132,5 ± 53,6 g/ day. To conclusion, the results of examinations, measured by...

Vliv maternálních efektů na evoluci velikosti gekonů / Influence of maternal effect on body size evolution in geckos

Kubát, Jan January 2015 (has links)
In this diploma thesis has been tested potential of maternal influences on body growth at two model groups of geckos with large interspecific body size variability. The effect of egg manipulation to hatchling size was proved to be significant for hatchlings at both model species Paroedura picta and Goniurosaurus lichtenfelderi. However, in adult animals, there were no more significant body size differences caused by egg manipulation. It leads to conclusion that both species of geckos have compensatory growth and its adult size is likely to be primarily genetically determined. Key words: maternal effect, egg manipulation, body growth, allometric engeneering, Paroedura picta, Goniurosaurus lichtenfelderi

Variabilita v počtu obratlů a evoluce velikosti těla gekonů / Variability in vertebrae numbers and the evolution of body size in geckos

Vohralík, Martin January 2016 (has links)
In ectothermic vertebrates, body segmentation is often linked to final body length. This thesis focuses on the realtionship between final body length, ecological (temperature) and genetic (sex) factors and the count of body vertebrae in the Paroedura geckos, closely focusing on the Paroedura picta species. Individuals of this species were exposed to three different constant rearing temperatures, where they achieved different final sizes. We tested the correlation between the number of presacral vertebrae and final body size and the effect of rearing temperature and sex on the vertebrae number. The data point to high genetic and enviromental canalisation of the vertebrae count. Large conservation in the number of presacral vertebae were found even across the genus Paroedura regardless of the considerable evolutionary changes in body size. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Změny v držení těla před nástupem do školy. / Changing of children body posture before entering elementary school

Holečková, Jana January 2018 (has links)
The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of the posture of pre-school children. The aim was to found out the posture of two age similar groups of pre-school children at the beginning and at the end of the final year before entering the primary school and to verify if there are some changes in posture at this time period. I used two tests to assess the posture, perspective method Klein, Thomas and Mayer in combination with the build evaluation according to Jaros and Lomicek. I was gaining the research data also by the observation method of common day running in two pre-school institutions and by the method of half-structured interview with class teachers ofthese institutions. Research file formed two age similar groups of pre-school children, specifically children from the last year of a kindergarden and children from preliminary classes. The result of the research is the finding out that in the last year, before entering the primary school, come about negative changes at posture of the pre-school children and that points to the fact that even pre-school age is high risk from posture point of view. KEY WORDS Body posture evaluation Defective body posture Pre-school child Kindergarden Preliminary class Motion activity

Hodnocení tělesných parametrů studentů v průběhu studia pomocí bioelektrické impedance

Pražáková, Zuzana January 2014 (has links)
Crucial goal of this diploma thesis was to study nourishment issues of students at Czech Universities and compare results with figures taken from central Europe location. Further objectives were to characterize segments of human body, select risk parameters and characterize the method of bioelectric impedance. In practical part of this thesis was made analysis, which showed changes of the students' body composition during their studies at Mendel University. Measuring were made by bioelectric impendance using Bodystat QuadScan 4000. Analysis took place from the beginning of March 2013 to the end of September 2013. Students undertook three measurements, which were compared afterwards. Mainly were observed changes in Body Mass Index, Waist Hip Ratio, weight, fat content, amount of active body mass, water capacity and water separation to extracellular and intracellular. In between first, second and third (3/2013, 5/2013, 9/2013) measurements, were not proven any statistic differences (p > 0,05) in observed corporal parameters. Practical part includes also questionnaires, which were made in order to find out students' eating habits, physical ability and presence of illnesses in their family. Last point of the practical part is students' diet evaluation in Fit Line program, there were discovered preferences of groups of food, energy distribution and nutritive composition of each meal measured during one day. Statistically conclusive difference of saccharids (p < 0,05) was detected in all meal portions. Obtained date, were evaluated in Microsoft Excel 2010 and Statistika Cz, version 12.

Vliv cílené pohybové aktivity na utváření návyku správného držení těla\\ / The influence of kinetic activity on correct body posture\\

KOLÁŘ, Tomáš January 2008 (has links)
The aim of the diploma paper was to test a complete fitness of pupils in the 6th class in the primary school in České Budějovice and to affect forming of the correct carriage of body habit by pointed motion activities. The objects of my research were two groups of probands from the 6th class of the primary school. Altogether, 40 probands were submitted to the research. They were separated to the two equal groups, as the experimental one and as the control one. At the beginning, I tested, found out and documented the complete fitness and mainly I found out the correct carriage of body of the both groups. Inclusion of compensatory and toning exercises for the correct carriage of body into the PE for the six-week period by the exercise plan done by myself followed. I did exercises for strengthening the abdominal and back muscles and exercises for stretching the muscles along the vertebral column with the experimental group of 20 probands. The control group had during the exercise plan ordinary PE lessons by school curriculum led by the PE teacher. The Matthias method was used for the evaluation of the carriage of body and the Ruffier test was used for finding the complete fitness. Everything was written down, compiled and evaluated in charts and graphs for its objectification. The results showed that the pupils in the 6th class in the primary school have nowadays very bad complete fitness and they cannot assume the correct upright posture. Also weakened abdominal muscles and shortened quadrates lumbar muscle were showed up on the most of the pupils.
