Účinek komplexního rehabilitačního programu dětí s astma bronchiale / Effect of a comprehensive rehabilitation program of children with asthma bronchiale

Vránová, Eva January 2011 (has links)
Title: Effect of a comprehensive rehabilitation program of children with asthma bronchiale Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to show the usefulness and necessity of physical therapy in children with bronchial asthma and how does it affect them. Another objective was to summarize the possible available methods with demonstrations of examples of individual exercises that can be used for this disease. The aim was also monitoring and evaluation of the patient's subjective feelings. Methods: In the thesis we carried out a single arm experiment, where we used comprehensive kinesiology analysis of individual subjects and the methods of lung function tests. From the lung function test, we chose the spirometry test by method of curve flow / capacity and also we used the peak expiratory flow monitoring using peak-flow-meter. We compared the subjective feelings of clients at the beginning and the end of the treatment program. In the period we watched the changes of value in individual measuring techniques. Results: We found that a comprehensive treatment of children asthma has a significant impact on their posture and also on the respiratory functions and subjective perception of individual symptoms investigated clients. All clients received the same treatment and each of them occurred in...

Vliv pancířníků na složení společenstva hub v opadu borovice lesní / The effect of oribatid mites on the composition of fungal community in pine litter

Černá, Kristýna January 2012 (has links)
4 Abstract The aim of this study was to determine whether oribatid mites affect the variety of fungi in litter of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris), and if the dispersibility of fungi particles is related to oribatid mite species. To this end, I have prepared several semi-natural systems, in which I observed dispersion of fungi separately and in the presence of two oribatid mite species: Phthiracarus sp. and Adoristes ovatus. I assessed the experiment in two ways, by a cultivation of washed needles on agar medium and direct observation of needles under a binocular magnifier. In the next part of this study I isolated particles of fungi present on the surface and in the faeces of oribatid mites Adoristes ovatus, Porobelba spinosa and Spatiodamaeus verticillipes and compared it with the respective oribatid mite species. The most frequent needles fungi spread by oribatid mites were Oidiodendron maius var. maius, Oidiodendron muniellense, Oidiodendron setiferum, Umbelopsis ramanniana, Mucor hiemalis f. hiemalis and Mortierella hyalina. On the mites body surface the most commonly recorded fungi were Beauveria bassiana, Umbelopsis ramanniana, Cladosporium cladosporioides s.l., Cladosporium herbarum s.l. and unknown species of the genus Penicillium. Fungi species Acrodontium crateriforme, Umbelopsis ramanniana and...

Vliv kompenzačních cvičení na žáky ZŠ s rozšířenou výukou plavání / Influence of compensation exercises in primary school with extra swimming lessons

Cepáková, Hana January 2013 (has links)
The aim of my diploma thesis is to find out and influence positively with the help of some compensative exercises posture, flexibility and muscular unbalance among swimmers from the Swimming club in Jindřichův Hradec. Experimental research was divided into two measurements between which half of the swimmers did the compensative excercises. The input and output measurements corresponded with their content and evaluated posture, flexibility and swimmers'muscular strength. Standard tests were used for testing and evaluation. Posture was evaluated with the help of plumb line and standing on two bathroom scales. Flexibility was evaluated by standardized tests of movability according to Měkota, Thomayer and Otta tests. Muscular shortening was tested according to Janda. Standing jump, pull-ups, or rather staying power in pull-up and press-up staying power in a kneeling position were used to compare muscular strength. Key words: compensative exercises, swimming, posture, muscular unbalance

Denzitometrické stanovení složení těla u pacientů s chronickou obstrukční plicní nemocí / Densitometric determination of body composition in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Malinová, Barbora January 2013 (has links)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Student: Barbora Malinová Supervisor of Diploma thesis: PharmDr. Miroslav Kovařík Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Densitometric determination of body composition in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is the fourth leading cause of death in 2004 according to the WHO Global Burden of Disease Project and its morbidity and mortality worldwide is still increasing. Besides the lung function impairment, there are often described changes in body composition in COPD patients e.g. the skeletal muscle protein loss. The main aim of the study was determining the body composition by DEXA in patients diagnosed with COPD and comparing them with physiological values or studies dealing with this issue. On each patient was performed one examination, patients were coming after twelve-hour fasting. Average age was 66 ± 8 years. The amount of fat-free mass was not reduced. There was not therefore a loss of muscle tissue due to COPD. When evaluating total fat, we find that men have more fat than normal levels. This is also indicated by BMI that has been in the majority in the range of overweight and obesity. We did not confirm the link between COPD...

Využití kompenzačního cvičení v basketbale / Use of prevention exercises in basketball

Kejha, Pavel January 2016 (has links)
Title: Application of compensation exercises in basketball Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to verify the effectiveness of the compensation practise on selected muscle group and selected basketball players. Methods: In order to obtain the results the functional tests of the spine and testing of shortened muscle groups Janda (2004) were used, which were applied to a selected group of seven basketball player from two different teams. Measured values of shortened muscle groups - initial measurements (pretest) were compared with the results of the measured muscle groups (posttest) after less than three months of compensation program. Based on the results of the entrance test were designed tray compensatory exercises that players should adhere to within the specified regularity. Results: We found out that after almost three months of compensation program the state of shortened and weakened muscle groups has improved significantly. All the results are recorded in the form of tables and graphs. Keywords: Compensation exercises, basketball, muscle imbalance

Body styling - zásady a praktická realizace / Body styling - principles and practical implementation

Dvořáková, Andrea January 2015 (has links)
TITLE: Body styling - Principles and Practical Implementation OBJECTIVES: The aim of this diploma thesis is the search processing of available literary sources associated with bodystyling and the draft and verification of appropriate bodystyling lessons with positive effect on body composition for women and men without previous experience with bodystyling. METHODS: While elaborating this diploma thesis, my efforts were based on literary search, in particular I searched in literature focused on bodystyling and muscular system anatomy. This work shows its descriptive analytical character. Verification of drafted bodystyling lessons reveals, why bodystyling is a suitable form of regular physical exercise or activity. The target group consisted of twelve persons, six women and six men, within the age from twenty to fifty. None of them had previous experience with bodystyling lessons. RESULTS: The proposed physical intervention positively affected body composition interceded subjects that directly affected the body shaping. Body fat percentage was significantly reduced in eleven people out of twelve. The result of percentage of fat for the examined group is (-0,9±0,6) %. There was also a significant increase in skeletal muscle percentage for all twelve subjects. The result of percentage of skeletal...

Vývoj povrchu a tělní svaloviny u ptačí schistosomy Trichobilharzia regenti / Development of surface and body musculature of the bird schistosome Trichobilharzia regenti

Bulantová, Jana January 2012 (has links)
Description of Trichobilharzia regenti as a new species of nasal bird schistosome in 1998 was only the first step in our knowledge of this extraordinary parasite. Natural definitive hosts of T. regeni are anseriform birds, but infective larvae - cercariae - are able to penetrate also into mammalian hosts including humans. There they are causative agents of hypersensitive skin immune reaction called cercarial dermatitis or swimmer's itch. Contrary to other schistosomes, miracidia of T. regenti hatch directly inside the definitive host tissue. Schistosomula migrate through the nervous system of vertebrates and, together with adult worms, they have predominantly extravascular localization in definitive hosts. Adult worms have a short lifespan and low degree of sexual dimorphism, connected with lower dependence of adult females on long-term contact with males. During the life cycle, T. regenti can be found within three different environments (freshwater, tissue of intermediate molluscan host and tissue of vertebrate host). Each of the seven developmental stages has a different role in the life cycle which corresponds with different organization of various organ systems. The introductory part of the thesis is focused entirely on ontogenetic changes of surface ultrastructure and body musculature of...

Tělesná velikost jako implicitní faktor: příkladové studie o životních strategiích a chování / Body size as an implicit factor: case studies of life-history strategies and behaviour

Šimková, Olga January 2016 (has links)
Body size has a potential to influence almost any trait in animal biology. The thesis contains four case studies (I - IV) covering four various situations and four various taxa, mainly squamate reptiles (Lepidosauria). Body size is a connecting factor for all these studies, in which I and my co-authors tried to elucidate various implications of body size. I. The sex ratio in Cuban boa (Chilabothrus angulifer) litters is often male or female biased. The neonates are so large, that are able to accept the same type of prey as are adults (in contrast to the other Chilabothrus species). We found that both the sexes are of the same size and shape at birth. Large size of the neonates a long lifespan lead to considerable generation overlaps. This could clarify our findings that small females produce sons whereas the larger ones deliver daughters. Males are smaller than females, probably also less philopatric and refuse food during breeding season. We can conclude that females manipulate the sex ratio of neonates according to its own body size, in order to decrease the probability of competition with their own offspring. II. Mangrove-dwelling monitor lizard (Varanus indicus) shows one of the greatest degrees of sexual size dimorphism among monitor lizards. We recorded the growth of the individuals from...

Analýza tří několikaměsíčních tréninkových pobytů vytrvalostního běžce ve vyšší nadmořské výšce / Analysis of three several-month training sessions of the endurance runner at higher altitudes

VONDRÁŠKOVÁ, Aneta January 2019 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze three several-month concentration of a long-distance runner at higher altitude. Specifically, we compared the results of the measured values before staying in zones of high altitude and after arrival from high altitude. The tested individual was housed in Kenya in the town of Iten, located at 2,400 meters above sea level. To elaborate this thesis, we used the method of content analysis and the comparative method. To obtain the results, we used laboratory tests spiroergometry, spirometry, body composition and Wingate test. Then, the data was processed using material significance. The material significance was defined using Cohen's d. Our results showed an increase in red blood cells, an increase in VO2max, a reduction in heart rate, a reduction in morning heart rate. From these results, it is clear that alpine training has a positive effect on the performance of the athlete.
