BOČKOVÁ, Hana January 2012 (has links)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to provide basic orientation in the topic of the climate of classroom and key concepts of this topic. Another goal of the thesis is to compare climates of different classrooms at two secondary schools of the same specialization. Theoretical part of the thesis defines the basic terms ? environment, atmosphere, climate, critical event and other related terms such as social group. It also discusses participants in the climate and focuses on climate types and current approaches to its measurement and evaluation. Practical part then sets goals and assumptions for evaluation, describes the useable method of evaluation, course of evaluation and in the end the assumptions are being checked.

Title: Exponential families in statistical inference Author: Sally Abdel-Maksoud Department: Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Daniel Hlubinka, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: Daniel.Hlubinka@mff.cuni.cz Abstract: This diploma thesis provides an evaluation of Exponential families of distributions which has a special position in mathematical statistic including appropriate properties for estimation of population parameters, hypothesis testing and other inference problems. Diploma will introduce the basic concepts and facts associated with the distribution of exponential type especially with focusing on the advantages of exponential families in classical parametric statistics, thus in theory of estimation and hypothesis testing. Emphasis will be placed on one-parameter and multi- parameters systems. It also exposes an important concepts about the curvature of a statistical problem including the curvature in exponential families. We will define a quantity that measure how nearly "exponential" the families are. This quantity is said to be the statistical curvature of the family. We will show that the family with a small curvature enjoy the good properties of exponential families Moreover, the properties of the curvature, hypotheses testing and some...

Udržování typové třídy v Haskellu / Maintainable type classes for Haskell

Farka, František January 2014 (has links)
In this thesis we address a long-term maintainability problem in Haskell type class system. In particular we study a possibility of backward-compatible changes in existing class hierarchies. In the first part of the thesis we give a brief overview of the language. The following part summarizes current proposed solutions to the problem and analyzes their properties. Based on this analysis we derive our own language extension proposal. In the penultimate chapter we present several possible applications of the language extension and compare the extension to other solutions. As a part of the thesis we also give a proof-of-concept implementation of the extension for the GHC compiler, which is briefly described in the last part of this thesis. Epigenetická regulace genů HLA II. třídy a její modifikace během života / Epigenetic regulation of HLA class II genes and its modification during the lifetime

Lamborová, Věra January 2013 (has links)
Background: The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules play an important role in the immune response regulation and in the maintenance of the immune homeostasis. Regulation of their expression is therefore a key factor influencing the adaptive immune response. DNA methylation of gene regulatory regions is one of the mechanisms of gene expression control that affects the accessibility of DNA to transcription factors. Ageing is connected with changes in DNA methylation and increased predisposition to autoimmune diseases in older age could be associated with changes in MHC class II genes methylation. Aims: The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the methylation profile of DQA1 and DQB1 genes regulatory regions and to compare its differences between the generations and between individual alleles. The next aim is to compare DQA1 mRNA expression between the generations and between single alleles. Methods: DNA and RNA were isolated from blood of three age group donors. DNA was converted by the bisulfite treatment and regulatory regions of HLA class II genes were amplified and cloned into bacteria. Positive clones were sequenced and then analyzed. RNA was reverse transcribed and its expression level was determined by real-time PCR. Results: Statistically significant differences were found by...

Souvislosti mezi užíváním konopných drog a postavením studenta ve třídě: porovnání různých typů středních škol / Cannabis drugs use and the status of the student in the class: a comparison of different types of secondary schools

Šafránková, Magdalena January 2013 (has links)
The objective of my thesis is to deepen and expand research on my thesis I tried to prove or disprove the link between social status in the classroom and student use of cannabis. For research, I chose a sample of 21 students cook waiter field. In my thesis expand my research, because I want to prove whether the result is unique to college or is a general phenomenon among high school students. For the purposes of my research, I added one class schools, two gymnazium school classes, because this children are considered elite, and finally two classes of business school and for this reason that this type of education is visited the largest number of students. In my research I used combination od three methods. sociometric research, selected questions from the ESPAD questionnaire and interviews with selected students. Based on the research showed that the visible difference in the relation between social status and cannabis use at each school. The largest is in the school and the smallest is in the gymnazium.. This fact seems to me very interesting and I think that the fact this could work to solve this serious problem. In the theoretical part explains how to use the above methods, the effects and the influence of cannabis on humans. Keywords: Sociometry - cannabis - the status of the student -...

Extremistické projevy mládeže a jejich vliv na klima školní třídy / Youth, the phenomenon of extremism and its impact on a classroom atmosphere.

KOPEČKOVÁ, Petra January 2014 (has links)
This thesis deals with the issue of extremist manifestations of youth and the impact of these occurrences on the societal climate in the class. The first part of this thesis defines the terms and analyzes the current situation of the problem. It displays the intolerant attributes typical to extremist attitudes, the main current extremist streams and ways of disseminating extremist ideas. The aim of the second part is a case study conducted on the sample of a class. At first there is a selection of a sample class and a choice of the methodology of the study. Subsequently the thesis explains the obtained results. These results are then analyzed, interpreted and compared with expectations.

Preventivní aktivity na 2. st. ZŠ z pohledu jejich aktérů / Preventive activities in the second grade of elementary school from the point of view of their actors

PINDROCHOVÁ, Věra January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is written on a theoretically empirical basis. It deals with primary prevention of risk behavior in schools, in particular secondary schools. The theoretical part of the thesis concentrates on the characteristic features of risk behavior and its primary prevention. It also concentrates on the relationship between the teacher and pupils, the specifics of class group, the principles of effective communication and class environment. The practical part of the thesis is based on the results of a questionnaire which provided information about pupils´ and teachers´ views concerning risk behavior, and preventative activities being carried out at selected schools in co-operation with external consultants. The aim of this practical part of the thesis was to investigate pupils´ and teachers´ attitudes to primary prevention.

Strukturální vlastnosti dědičných tříd permutací / Structural properties of hereditary permutation classes

Opler, Michal January 2017 (has links)
A permutation class C is splittable if it is contained in a merge of its two proper subclasses, and it is 1-amalgamable if given two permutations σ, τ ∈ C, each with a marked element, we can find a permutation π ∈ C containing both σ and τ such that the two marked elements coincide. In this thesis, we study both 1-amalgamability and splittability of permutation classes. It was previously shown that unsplittability implies 1-amalgamability. We prove that unsplittability and 1-amalgamability are not equivalent properties of permutation classes by showing that there is a permutation class that is both splittable and 1-amalgamable. Moreover, we show that there are infinitely many such classes. Our construction is based on the concept of LR-inflations or more generally on hereditary 2-colorings, which we both introduce here and which may be of independent interest. 1
