The rich cultural life of Třeboň is significantly related to the activity of the Primary School of Art in Třeboň. That is why it has become the subject of this thesis. Attention is also paid to the development of musical activities in Třeboň throughout the history (at the era of the last Rožmberks, during the National Revival and the painful time of World War I and II and finally at the present time). Among the most important events belongs the foundation of the choir Pěslav (later referred to as Pěslav {--} Ozvěna), the establishment of the Třeboň Philharmonic (which after the World War II became the Třeboň Symphony Orchestra) and above all the establishment of the musical school in 1949. This musical school is dealt with most minutely on the following pages, because it trains not only future members of the before-mentioned amateur ensembles but also prospective experts holding important artistic positions all over our country. At present the Primary School of Art in Třeboň has along with its musical department also younger departments of dance and fine art and its pupils and teachers significantly contribute to the richness of the cultural life of Třeboň.

Fishpond Svět is one of the most prominent and attractive water bodies of Třeboň region. It is located close to Třeboň town, is is used for fish production and joined economic activities, as well as for recreation and sporting. To harmonize all the functions is the goal of the Rybářství Třeboň Co., owner of the fishpond, and local governement of Třeboň town. For revitalization of the fishpond, economic activities are harmonized in order to improve the water quality. The goal is provided via decreasing fish number, fertilizers and food, which resulted in decreasing numbers of cyanobacteria and algae in phytoplankton, especially during warm parts of years, when the troubles, for recretaion, are most. This measures are monitored by Inst. Botany Acad. Sci. via regular sampling and analysing NO2-, NO3-, tN, PO43-, tP, Cl- a NH4+ concentrations as well as temperature, Secchi desk depth and chlorophyll_a. I was participating in sampling and evaluation in period 2008-2010. Results of the monitoring are regularly presented in local press and internet home page of town Třeboň which is also covering the expenses of the project.

The thesis "Career and honour of millers in dominion of Třeboň in years 1590 {--} 1740" engages in research into a life of an Early Modern Times miller in years 1590 {--} 1740 in dominion of Třeboň. It is based on archival resources from the State Region Archives in Třeboň. The research proceeds from the most general problems to details and begins with an explanation of the miller trade importance for the estate economy. The following chapter describes a professional life of miller from the lowest position {--} an apprentice up to beco-ming a master. The third chapter contains arguments against the German historian Richard van Dülmen and tries to answer the question whether a miller was an honest man or not. The final chapter is a biography of the miller Jiří Šput in which his life and acting in different situations are analyssed.

The main objective of thesis is to empirically assess the level of social capital in relation to the development of the city. First, the thesis discusses the theoretical framing of the concept of social capital; it also deals with the topic of regional development and its conditionality, including the issue of the development of small and medium-sized towns. The second part is devoted to a quantitative analysis of social capital and regional development in all Czech small and medium-sized towns. The last part presents detailed qualitative research on social capital, specifically the results of case studies observed at the level of comparable towns Týn nad Vltavou and Třeboň. In these case studies, key equalities and differences of social capital in connection with the formation of the city were identified. We also confirm the importance of social capital as one of many factors that determines the territorial development. This diploma thesis is addressing the issue of elementary schools in Jindřichův Hradec region. This administrative region consists of 3 smaller districts - Třeboň, Jindřichův Hradec and Dačice. Goals of this diploma thesis are to map, to describe and to find solution for actual issues in elementary schools in choosed region. Diploma thesis maps localization of elementary schools and catchment regions, territorial distribution of schoolchildren and existence of school buses and trains in area. All data was processed into tables and maps.

TITLE: The mural paintings in the Augustinian monastery in Třeboň AUTHOR: Michaela Vrchotová DEPARTMENT: Department of Art History SUPERVISOR: Prof. PhDr. Ing. Jan Royt, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The subject of this thesis are the mural paintings in St. Giles church and the former monastery of Augustinian Canons in Třeboň, which date from the last quarter of the 14th century until the late Middle Ages and the onset of Renaissance at the beginning of the 16th century. The main objective was to gather all available information that could contribute to elucidating the period context of the creation of the mural paintings in the monastery of Třeboň. The intended output was, to the extent of objective possibilities, an art historical analysis of the works, backed by all the researched facts, and the assessment of the significance of Rosenberg donators and of their links to the imperial court. The extent of preservation and the possibilities for assessment of the artistic quality of the individual mural images form a relatively broad range. The mural paintings were divided into three time periods and the pictures that were the focus of the thesis stand as interesting period documents, not only from the artistic, but also from the cultural point of view, and as such they deserve a place in the history of Třeboň monastery...

The revitalization plan was made for Kubňů Černá pond in Třeboň basin, Czech Republic. The detailed field survey concentrated on evaluation of ponds current state and the functioning of the drain and the spillway protective dick. Based on field survey, the revitalization was divided into three steps that dealed with retention capacity improvement, facilities renovation, dam renovation and ecosystem stability improvement. The revitalization program would be supported by Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic due to high financial demands.

The presented master thesis focuses on processing of an art project with the topic "My town Třeboň" as a part of Art classes at secondary school. The thesis is composed of two interconnected parts - the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part discusses the characteristics of Třeboň. It describes the history of the town, urbanism, the sights, the celebrities who emerged from this town and it also provides an accurate depiction of local landscape. Furthermore, the thesis elaborates on project teaching, it briefly introduces its history and lists e.g. projects typology, stages of project teaching and also examines more closely the role of project teaching in art education. The practical part documents and describes the proposed project. Certain portion of the lessons involved took place at the Grammar school in Třeboň. The master thesis is supplemented by a representative photographic documentation in the annex.
