This dissertation examines the medieval libraries of the order of Regular Canons of St. Augustine in Bohemia. The research is concentrated on manuscripts that were written before the end of the 15th century, together with handwritten parts bound together with old prints and fragments removed from manuscripts. The aim of the study is to fill gaps in existing research and provide a systematic overview of the libraries of canonries in Bohemia, namely Roudnice, Jaroměř, Karlov in Prague, Sadská, Rokycany, Třeboň, and Borovany. The research of these libraries is based mainly on preserved manuscripts. Their affiliation to the libraries can be identified with certainty thanks to ownership remarks, in some cases also by typical shelf marks or notes about the content of manuscripts, possibly by other circumstances connected with the history of the books. In addition, there are contemporary sources of the history of some libraries (library catalogues, inventories, records of gifts and testaments, notes about payments for manuscripts, records of the purchase of the books, or reports of the sale of manuscripts in exile). This thesis describes accommodation in the region of Třeboň and its cooperation with another subjects providing services in tourism. The theoretical part deals with the description of this region and accommodation services. It describes the division of accommodation and also the management of destination. The analytical part investigates the cooperation of subjects providing accommodation services with another subjects providing services for tourists and its influens on their effective business running. The results of this research confirm the impact of this cooperation. The aim of this thesis is to focus on problematical parts of the cooperation in tourism in this region and propose new possibilities of tourism and service development.

Annotation This thesis is part of Project of the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic No. P504/11/1151 (Role of plants in the greenhouse gas budget of a sedge fen) aims at estimating the turnover of aboveground biomass of Carex acuta L. in a flooded part of the Wet Meadows near Třeboň. The biomass turnover was estimated using both destructive and non-destructive types of measurement and was assessed separately for generative and vegetative tillers, which markedly differ in their life cycles. Vegetative tillers last throughout the vegetation season. Generative tillers have a fast development at the beginning of the vegetatin season but die out soon after seed development. They disapper from the stand in mid-July. Vegetative shoots reached their maximum aboveground biomass at the end of June. The average dry weight of all leaves produced so far was 1,51 g per tiller and the average dry weight of all aboveground biomass produced per tiller was 2,28 g. The turnover coefficient was 1,39 year-1 and 1,01 year-1 for leaves and whole tillers, respectively. Also generative shoots reached their maximum aboveground biomass at the end of June. The average dry weight of aboveground biomass produced so far was 1,95 g per tiller. The turnover coefficient was 1, 38 year-1and 1,10 year-1.

The thesis deals with investigation of activities of Catholic sports association Czechoslovak Eagle from the beginning of the century to the Second World War. It describes its history and explains its most important activity with reference to the activities in South Bohemia, in particular in Jindřichův Hradec and Třeboň. It explains the aims of its work as well as the historical value with reference to particular examples. Its how is the main meaning in connection of spirituality and materialism. The first part describes the history of Czechoslovak Eagle, its foundation, organization, and, its most interesting historical moments. The second part describes its activities in the region of South Bohemia. The third part sets the Eagle's work in Třeboň into the historical context. The fourth does the same with the Eagle's work in Jindřichův Hradec.

This diploma work studies quality of life of patients suffering from Bechtěrev disease (Ankylosing Spondylitis), who had global four-weeks cure in Berta Health Spa in Třeboň from 1st January to 31st July 2006. Hypothesis says that six months after the end of balneotherapy the quality of life of these patients will be higher than before. For confirmation or confutation of this hypothesis there was used quantitative method of research, in form of adjusted questionnaire for detection of quality of Life by SEIQoL concept (Schedule for the Evaluation of Individual Quality of Life). By this measure respondents are allowed to nominate five areas of life (aims of life), which are most important, together with percentage rate of their satisfaction with each and the relative importance of each. Average life-quality index of the respondents before balneotharapy was 60,4 %, six months after the end of balneotharapy it was 62,7 %. Thus six months after the end of the cure the respondents have higher quality of life. Then there were mentioned and discussed differences in perception of quality of life of various age groups and of gender. There was also accomplished order of the most often mentioned aims of life, as well an analysis of ``health{\crqq} as alife aim was done. This diploma work could be used in cultural work and for improvement of informedness in problematic of life quality. But mainly, it could be perhaps taken as a little controversial report to the discussion about using of assorted exploratory concepts for evaluation of quality of life.

As it is obvious from the title of the graduate work "Antonín Markus, the archivist of the town of Třeboň, and Zdeněk Wirth, the arthistorian - analysis and selective edition of the common correspondence, the authoress primary intended to prepare the analysis and elaboration of the edition of the unique epistular collection, which covers almost a half of century of the mutual friendship and cooperation of the two important representatives of the Czech cultural scene of the first and the beginning of the second half of the 20th century. The editated correspondence is a part of the personal inheritances of the both mentioned men which is saved in the State region archive in Třeboň (Antonín Markus) and in the Institute of the history of art of the Academy of sciences of the Czech republic (Zdeněk Wirth).The first part of the diploma work brings the general essay on the correspondence as an object of the scientist´s interest and the survey of the authors of the certain works on the edition analysis of correspondence of the various personalities. Next chapter introduces the used sources and special literature which the authoress used. The life stories of Antonín Markus, the longtime archivist of the Třeboň Schwarzenberg´s archive, and Zdeněk Wirth, our eminent arthistorian and organizator of the monument preservation, are presented in the individual biographies. Next part of the work shows the analysis of the correspondence from the view of the condition and amount, kind of communication, frequence of answering and the outer look of the individual documents, which is ensembled with the topic analysis of it´s content. The commented selected edition is followed by the editing notice and the name index. Other part brings of course the list of sources and used literature. The end of the diploma work includes the visual enclosures which suitably enrich the written part.

The aim of my thesis is to analyze the operation of selected organizations of destination management in the South Bohemian region or in other regions in the neighborhood. My work focuses especially on comparison the existence, operation, focus and also cooperation between individual subjects of destination managements. The thesis brings a real recommendations in order to improve efficiency in operation of these subjects.

The provision of ecosystem services within social-ecological systems is influenced by multiple environmental and anthropogenic driving forces, affecting natural ecosystems. At the same time, the capacity of ecosystems to concurrently provide different types of ecosystem services is inherently limited. Thus, ecosystem changes and their effect on ecosystem services have direct implications for human existence and well-being. The aim of this thesis is to present a modelling approach to assess regulating, provisioning and cultural ecosystem services and to quantify their potential trade-offs, illustrated by two case studies carried out in selected UNESCO Biosphere Reserves in the Czech Republic, Třeboň Basin Biosphere Reserve and Šumava Biosphere Reserve. Both of the selected case study areas are characterized by high levels of natural and cultural assets and challenges regarding future landscape management. In this study, first the social-ecological dynamics within the study areas was analysed by creating participative scenarios through collaboration with local stakeholders, eliciting their preferences regarding future landscape development to 2050.
