Ženský sebevražedný terorismus / Female Suicide Terrorism

Kellerová, Michaela January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the major themes of female suicide bombers in Chechen widows and Tamil Tigers. For my thesis I chose empirical- analytical methodology and methodology of comparative case studies. In both cases, the first studies dealing with the historical circumstances under which the group is established, the status and role of women in society there, leading motivation to attack their targets and then mention the most important examples of attacks perpetrated by members of the terrorist group. Research suggests that in neither case is not only one motive, but rather a multi-causal phenomenon. Black widows are predominantly motivated by religious and secular motives, specifically the personal motivation because of the death of a loved one, they want revenge. In Tamil Tigers is the main motive separatist when trying to get the rights for the Tamil minority and achieve an independent state of Eelam. Despite the geographical distance and differences in religion can be proportioned to find the same in both groups. Both groups can be seen as a gender dimension - women's efforts to deal with men.

Terorismus jako zločin podle mezinárodního práva / Terrorism as a crime under international law

Hromek, Vojtěch January 2010 (has links)
Terrorism as a crime under international law The purpose of this thesis is to assess the possibility of prosecuting terrorist attacks as crimes under international law and analyse the feasibility of their prosecution before the International Criminal Court. The reason for this research is is twofold. First, compared to the international academic scene, Czech research related to this topic is relatively sparse. Second, the international terrorism has grown into a massive issue of international significance and its global aspects leave the traditional national judicial mechanisms somewhat lacking with regards to the efficiency in its prosecution. The author has therefore attempted to examine the possibility of using the only permanent global judicial body available in today's world, the International Criminal Court. The thesis is composed of six chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of prosecuting the terrorism as an international crime. Chapter One is introductory and defines basic thoughts upon which this thesis builds. It also presents the structure of the thesis with regards to possible issues which may arise during its course. It also explains the reasons for said research as described in the first paragraph of this abstract. Chapter Two is concerned with the term terror and...

Mezinárodní terorismus a lidská práva / International terrorism and human rights

Gurská, Zuzana January 2011 (has links)
Summary: International Terrorism and Human Rights Key words: international terrorism, antiterrorist measures, human rights First part of the thesis is centered on characteristics of international terrorism, concept of human rights and three aspects of their mutual relationship: the immediate impact of terrorist attacks on human rights of their direct victims and the society as a whole and aspects linked to the states' response consisting of human rights breaches of suspects during repressive measures and curtailing the rights and freedoms of us all during preventive measures. Many states have tighten their current antiterrorist measures, introduced new ones and strengthened the powers of military and law enforcement at the expense of internationally guaranteed human rights and fundamental freedoms, argumenting with the need of neccessary trade-off between personal rights and freedoms and national security. Nevertheless, there are flexible institutes imbedded into international law that allow for realization of represive and preventive measures whithout compromising the guaranteed human rights. Secong part is devoted to these flexible institutes, namely limitation and derogation of human rights. Listed are necessary conditions of their implementation, in case of limitation of human rights the adherance to the...

Mezinárodně právní ochrana bezpečnosti civilního letectví / International legal protection of the safety of civil aviation

Štěpánková, Mirka January 2013 (has links)
International Protection of Civil Aviation Safety. This analysis is based on the idea that the obligation of states to protect civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference, especially terrorist attacks, has certain limits. These limits find its source in international treaties. States are not only subjects of treaties, which protect civil aviation, but also subjects of treaties, which protect individuals and there human rights. Both kind of obligation should be respected. These days we can see, that states do not respect obligations and principles set by international human rights treaties and justify their invasive interference with human rights by stating that they are fighting against terrorism. Its mostly visible by interference with the human dignity, right to privacy, data protection. But there are also other right which can be affected - for example right to free movement or health protection. In my paper I try to analyse impacts of some measures adopted by states on human rightst and show that they sometimes do not respect requirements, which are set for limitations of these rights. The most important documents I am working with are the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the European Treaty on Human Rights. At the end of my paper I m concerning with a question, if it is...

Regionální organizace a boj proti terorismu: srovnání systému Rady Evropy a Organizace amerických států / Regional organizations and the fight against terrorism: a comparison of systems of the Council of Europe and the Organization of American States

Žabková, Marie January 2013 (has links)
The aim of my thesis is both to describe the steps of the OAS and the Council of Europe in the fight against terrorism and also to compare their approach in this area. The thesis is divided into four chapters, which are further subdivided into three parts. The first two parts of each chapter describe the steps of each organization separately, the third part compares their approach and puts it into the context. The first chapter examines the reasons for which these organizations decided to implement the fight against terrorism on their agendas and maps the adoption of the first international instruments. Although the time scale of the activity in this area rather overlaps, I point out the different approaches of the two organizations in terms of the adopted counter- terrorism conventions. The following chapter is devoted to the period after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, when a review of existing documents took place and the counter-terrorism cooperation between the countries of both regions was intensified. In this chapter, I discuss in detail the newly adopted international tools and compare their impact on the existing regulation. In the third chapter, I try to outline new areas of interest in the field of counter- terrorism. The focus is shifted to the issues like financing of...

V další části ukazuje práce praktickou aplikaci dezinformační kampaně a její důsledky včetně výkladu modelů komunikace v klasických sítích a v sítích typu ?malý svět?.
