Regionální a strukturální politika EU a její realizace v Irsku / Is Slovakia making headway towards constituting an OCA with the EMU?

The goal of this diploma thesis is to assess the suitability and readiness of the Slovak Republic to adopt a single European currency. In analyzing the costs and benefits relating to Slovakia?s accession to the EMU, this thesis is guided by the theory of the OCA. The thesis provides a survey of the OCA theory, attempts to measure some of the OCA indicators and calculate OCA index for Slovakia. The results suggest that Slovakia fulfils the necessary condition for joining the monetary union, i.e. it is relatively well aligned with the euro area. The diploma thesis concludes that Slovakia is relatively suitable and well-prepared to join the euro area in 2009.

The goal of this thesis is to characterize healthcare systems in Czech and Slovak Republic. It compares and describes a development of specific metrics and it aims to create a clear picture of efficiency of a healthcare system in each particular country. In the first part the sole proprietors, employed persons, citizens without any taxable income and citizens insured by state are characterized. The focus of this part is also a description of health insurance system. This description aims mainly on contemporary legal situation, system of redistribution and historical development of healthcare systems. In the practical chapter a system of public health insurance from 2006 until 2010 is analyzed together with national insurance revenue, basic demographic and economic facts influencing the system of health insurance. The practical chapter further analyzes health insurance companies. This analysis is based on comparison of insurance companies from the perspective of insurance revenue and healthcare expenditure. The conclusion summarizes all results of analyses and comparisons.

The thesis is providing us with evolution of public debt in European Union, focused on situation of the Slovak Republic. It was written in a period, when issue of deficit funding became one of the most frequent topics all over the world. Finding reasons of indebtedness and summarizing cases which should be warning for policy makers is one of the main tasks. Thesis is also describing actions and interventions of European institutions, which resulted to higher debt. Analysis of public debt in Slovak republic is focused on structure of debt in local and central scope in compliance with several criteria. Thesis is evaluating position of Slovak Republic compared with other European countries and analyzing data according to key economic thought to forecast possibilities of future evolution.

ÚS 21/2014 Issued by the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic Abstract Presented paper is concerned with the question of substantive core of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic. The aim of the paper is to analyze the theory of substantive core of constitution in terms of doctrinal debate and of rulling PL. US 21/2014 issued by the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic. Late Motherhood from Demographic Point of View (Example of the Czech and Slovak Republic) Abstract The thesis thematically refers the issue of late motherhood in the Czech and Slovak Republics from the twenties of the twentieth century to the present from a demographic point of view. It describes the changes that have occurred during the observed years as to fertility of women aged over 35, using selected demographic indicators. In the second part the focus lies on the analysis of selected demographic factors using binary logistic regression. In the very end, the form of late motherhood is discussed. According to the results of the analysis are determined three different types of late motherhood. The aim of this thesis is the literature review and comparing the projects of land consolidation in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. This work is based on the available literature, databases of public institutions and documents of Land office in Slovak Republic a private engineering office GEOPOZEM CB IN Budweis. The thesis includes the short history of the land consolidation until year 1993, when Czechoslovakia was split for two countries. Subsequently, the work is focused on individual files land consolidation, separately within the Czech and Slovak Republic, the selection of criteria for the comparison of various projects of land consolidation and analyzing the specific parameters describing the content of chosen land consolidation.
