This final thesis deals with the tax system of Slovakia. The main aim of the thesis is to capture the development of the tax reforms carried out in the Slovak Republic and the decription of the consequences of the resulting tax systems. The partial aim is the analysis of the Electronic Register of Sales. The first chapter defines the concept of tax reform and describes tax reforms in the world, then there are futher specified tax reforms of Czechoslovakia. The second chapter focuses on a big tax reform in Slovakia in 2004. The third chapter is devoted to the current tax system. The fourth chapter deals with the Electronic Register of Sales.

The diploma thesis is focused on identification and mutual comparison of Czech-British and Slovak-British cultural standards at work environment. The main goal of the thesis is to define British cultural standards from both sides, from the Czech one and the Slovak one, and then to compare, whether the information from qualitative research corresponds with theoretical assumptions. The next goal is to find out how much different is the view on this topic from the Czech and from the Slovak perspective, if it is different. At the end of the thesis will be proposed a few suggestions, how Czech and Slovak should prepare for a longer staying in the United Kingdom in order to avoid possible cultural misunderstandings.

The subject of this thesis is regulation of lobbying in the countries of the Visegrad Group (V4) -- specifically statutory regulation of lobbying. The work gives a comprehensive overview of the development of regulation of lobbying in V4 member states from the very beginning until now. Main aim is to answer questions related to lobbying such as: "is there a lobbying regulation in V4 members", "what is the quality of that regulation" and "is there any common signs shared across the national regulation of lobbying". To achieve the desired objective thesis uses descriptive, comparative and analytical methods. Thesis consists of two main logical units, which are divided into five chapters, an introduction and a conclusion. The first unit contains three introductory chapters. This section is devoted to the history of lobbying, the definition of lobbying and theoretical concepts of regulation of lobbying. The second unit is completely dedicated to the legal regulation of lobbying in the V4 countries. Part of this unit is also the final comparison and analysis of the legal regulation of lobbying in these countries and answers to questions mentioned in the introduction.

Presented work deals with the issues of bankruptcies in pre-selected countries: Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Serbia and Croatia, both from an economic and legal viewpoint. First four chapters are devoted to more detailed analysis of insolvency (bankruptcy) laws of each country with regard to their development and current practice. At the end of each chapter is described a current "bankruptcy situation" on the markets of individual economies. The sixth chapter deals with bankruptcies in Europe (Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe). Part of this chapter is also devoted to the development of selected economies in terms of their GDP. The seventh chapter highlights the economic aspects of bankruptcy and the eighth chapter analyzes the data obtained. The work focuses only on corporate bankruptcies and is completed with appropriate graphs and tables both in the text and in the appendices.

This thesis deals with the realization of inflation targeting in the Slovak and the Czech Republic, and compares successfulness in fulfilling of inflation target. It is divided into three chapters. The first chapter characterizes monetary policy in general and two transmission mechanisms used in both countries. The next chapter is concerned with the practical application of monetary transmission mechanism after the monetary separation. Problems connected with the realization of this monetary policy regime that led to the change in the transmission mechanism in both central banks are also mentioned. In the last chapter there is the comparison of conditions in Slovakia and the Czech Republic during the implementation and application inflation targeting. We also compare trend in the actual and target inflation rate, and describe changes in the key interest rates of both national banks as a result of it.

Introductory chapters are devoted to a brief comparison of the business environment, characteristics of a limited liability company and the possibilities of its establishment in both countries. The main part of the thesis describes and compares the accounting regulation and analyzes the financial statements. The last part deals with the tax aspects, especially corporate income tax and health and social security.

After the split of Czechoslovakia, the bankruptcy law in both countries evolved their own way. The original Act No. 328/1991 Coll. Bankruptcy and Settlement in the Czech Republic and its equivalent form in the Slovak Republic was necessary due to changing economic and political situation to change with new regulations. In the Slovak Republic in 2006, the Act no. 7/2005 Coll. Bankruptcy and Restructuring and two years later, in the Czech Republic Act No. 182/2006 Coll. Bankruptcy and Settlement came into force. The aim of this thesis is the comparison of the bankruptcy law in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It compares individual legal adjustments with regard to their pros and cons. The Master thesis is based on statistical data on bankruptcy proceedings, explaining the reasons for the different developments in individual countries. The main focus of thesis is in reorganization and debt relief. The difference in debt relief of each country is explained in case study. Part of the work is also a practical example of the reorganization of the selected company.

The work is divided into three main parts. The first part forms a theoretical framework, which consists of basic concepts of the problem. This is followed by an analytical part, which consists of the characteristics of the company and an analysis of the external and internal environment. The last part, following the previous part, consists of own proposals created for the entry of a selected Czech company into the foreign market.
