The Justification and Implementation of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software into TTSs Apprentice Training Framework. / Engineering Management

Vollebregt, Benjamin John January 2014 (has links)
Trade Training School is the center of excellence for Maintenance Support (MS) training within the NZ Army. This report investigates the feasibility of incorporating CAD into the current training framework for all five of the MS trades within TTS. Due to each trade group being vastly different, CAD software had to be adapted to each individually. This is discussed in some detail within the paper. The physical installation of a CAD suite is also included within the report. TTS is one of the first institutions in NZ to utilise CAD software in the training of tradesmen/ apprentices in NZ.

The Transformation Of The Religious Tradesmen In Small Cities In The Context Of Market Economy: The Case Of Kirikkale

Yildiz, Sitki 01 January 2003 (has links) (PDF)
Based on a field study carried out in Kirikkale, this study investigates the transformation of religious tradesmen of small cities in Turkey with emphases on : (a) the role of religious values within the free market economy / (b) the &amp / #65533 / work ethics&amp / #65533 / of religious tradesmen and (c) the transformation process of religious values within the present economic system. In the study, semistructured in-depth interviews and official documents were used to collect the research data. The thesis of Weber on the relationships between religious values and the rational capitalism was examined to better understand the work ethics and the religious values of religious tradesmen. The opinions of Weber, Rodinson and &Uuml / lgener about the causes of the nonexistence of a rational capitalism in the Islamic world were evaluated throughout the study. In this respect, the emergence and the development of the Muslim guilds and petty bourgeoisie within the traditional Islamic societies were also studied. The research results suggest that the incorporation into the free market economy brings about the transformation the religious economic convictions or values. Therefore, the chance of survival and the applicability of such religious values within this economic system seem to be impossible. In summary, this particular research indicates that the religious tradesmen do not face with serious contradictions in their economic activities. They rather seem to be involved in a transformation and adaptation process in the free market economy.

Komparace dvou forem podnikání se sportem / Comparison of Two Models of Business in Sport

Kořínková, Alena January 2013 (has links)
The purpose of the Master's Thesis is to compare two models of business when applied to riding schools. The Thesis seeks the answer to the question whether is it preferable to be an association of tradesmen, or a civic association. In the theoretical part are defined the basic concepts connected with the sport of horse-riding, financial statement and financial analysis. In the practical part there are two financial analyses, the first analysis contains data from the association of tradesmen, and the second is similar, but applied to civic association. The financial analyses use horizontal and vertical analyses and several financial ratios. In the Thesis, the impact of the new civil code on civic associations is contained.

Stepping Into a Moment: A Historical Reconstruction of Lord Dunmore's Portrait

Nakoff, Slade 01 May 2022 (has links)
The study of material culture study has long been estranged from mainstream academic discourse often dismissed as the examination of pots and pans. Historians are beginning to realize that material culture and cultural reconstruction offer vital insights into the past. Building upon new developments, my project reconstructs the items painted by Joshua Reynolds in his famous painting of Lord Dunmore. This reconstruction allows for the efforts of unnamed tradesmen to be retraced, making a few people and their efforts which were lost to history known once again. By employing written documentation in tandem with extant artifacts, the project recreates every object in the portrait as it would have been done in the past. This study put to the test the benefit of material culture as an academic discipline. By employing an interdisciplinary approach, it allowed for new insights into the past by combining most notably experimental archeology, material culture studies, and academic history. The findings of this research provide insight into the effectiveness of the experiential analysis technique for the purpose of historical study and how it benefits not only current understanding of artifacts themselves but also fills gaps in the lives of those who created and used these items.

Köpmannen i Stockholm : Grosshandlares ekonomiska och sociala strategier under 1700-talet / The Merchant of Stockholm : Wholesalers’ economic and social strategies during the eighteenth century

Ågren, Karin January 2007 (has links)

The purpose of this thesis has been to describe and explain why wholesalers in Stockholm during the eighteenth century acted as they did. This analysis is built on the idea that peoples’ possibilities to act depends on the context in which they live and the person’s network. The starting-point for the analysis is an old discussion if the merchants made any difference in the transformation of society; were they a dynamic element or not?

In this thesis wholesalers’ social and economic relations are studied from different viewpoints: how they married, how their credit network was built up, and what they consumed. The wholesalers are divided into groups depending on their income. The materials used are inventories, parish registers, registers of tax-payments and biographical books.

The research shows that the differences in behaviour were small between the income groups. Most of the wholesalers married daughters of other merchants, they lent money to their own family, and they consumed more or less in the same way. There was a big economic gap between the wealthiest wholesalers and the less wealthy. Why their behaviour was nonethless so homogenous depended on their need of a network. The importance of this made them act the same.

However, the study shows one group that acted a bit differently, wholesalers who belonged to the German congregation. In several ways they were an association in themselves. And the way they act can described as dynamic. Because they did not have an obligation to the Swedish network, they could act differently.

Dva autoři - Dvě díla - Dvojí obraz světa (Vladimír Neff - Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz) / Two autorst - Two works - Two images of the world (Vladimír Neff - Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz)

Sikora, Dorota January 2011 (has links)
Resumé v anglickém jazyce Summary This thesis is an attempt to show two authors and mainly two of their major works created in two different cultures, concluded by comparison of these two key works. Vladimír Neff, through his five-part cycle of novels Sňatky z rozumu (and following) dealing to the broad extent with the lives of members of Born and Nedobyl families, has proved his outstanding narrative skills which, together with a fair dose of irony and perfect knowledge of historical facts, make this pentalogy Neff's life work that in a remarkable manner made its way into the history of Czech literature. The author draws very accurate picture of Prague changing over a hundred of years and portrays the glamour of the age that is to be noted for the pursuit of economic and technological progress. Thanks to psychologically very thoroughly and accurately depicted key figures of the founders of abovementioned families, some of which were given the typically bourgeois features by Neff, the readers become close witnesses of their rise and fall. Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz in his relatively extensive work Čest a sláva presents the life of two generations on the historical and social background depicted in great detail. It captures the hasty and sometimes breakneck changes in the modern history and the fate of the Polish...
