Plánování spojů ve veřejné dopravě na mobilních zařízeních / Mass transport routing

Bečka, Michal January 2010 (has links)
A journey planning tool accessible from a mobile device provides travel information on the move. This work studies various aspects of mobile journey planners, including the history and limitations of mobile devices to deal with. First we analyze the connection with phone networks and the Internet for possible choices to place the tool, while recommending the most suitable ones. Then we study the developer environment consisting of various operating systems to show how compatible an application will be while selecting a programming language. Another part covers possible parameters for the journey search, from setting of basic location and time to optimizing other journey attributes. Following is an evaluation of journey planners already available. Then we investigate the source and form of input traffic data along with their availability. Finally we illustrate the ideas how the proposed parameters can be implemented on an example search algorithm. The purpose is to provide a comprehensive overview of the subject while researching possible improvements.

The acceptance of the integrated real-time traffic information system

Ong, Shau-bai 27 July 2006 (has links)
The purpose of this research is to study the acceptance of road-users on the real-time integrated digital traffic information system, with the use of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Media Richness Theory (MRT) as foundations. Further understanding on the properties and demands of populations in the use of real-time integrated digital traffic information system are done through the application of ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) and Regression Analysis. Moreover, with the integration of real time police road condition broadcasting and mobile communication technology, an ideal real-time integrated digital traffic information system is built¡Xthe Mobile Messenger, and a mobile communication technology is developed as main point of service infrastructure. Transforming static broadcasting service into mobile information service, road-users are provided with a high-speed, safe and quality driving environment.

Automotive Telematics Services based on Cell Broadcast

Gundlegård, David January 2003 (has links)

Cell Broadcast is a relatively old technique within the GSM-network which makes it possible to broadcast text messages to one or more cells in the network. As efforts in Sweden have been made to develop both traffic safety and information technology, the automotive telematics market is predicted to grow rapidly in the near future. The characteristics of Cell Broadcast make it especially suitable for automotive telematics services. The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate possible automotive telematics services based on Cell Broadcast and how these services can affect traffic safety.

The most important characteristics for Cell Broadcast in the automotive telematics market are close connection to the GSM/UMTS network, location-based information and information of push character. These characteristics allows the mobile operator to offer a number of automotive telematics services based on Cell Broadcast, some of them as service provider and some of them in joint ventures with car and mobile terminal manufacturers.

It is desirable for such services in the future to include information about road works, accidents, surface conditions and other types of events that affects what route is currently the best. It is also desirable to notify users about changes in the prerequisites of the chosen route after they have started their trip. This thesis investigates methods to include dynamic traffic information in route calculations and notifying users when the characteristics change for their chosen route. The thesis utilizes dynamic traffic information from The Swedish Road Agencys (Vägverket) central database for traffic information, TRISS and calculates affected clients with help of positioning through the GSM network.

Využití technologií google maps a GPS pro dopravní informace / Utilization of technology google maps and GPS for trafic information

Mahrík, Tomáš January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this master's thesis is design and implementation of traffic information system called Traffic Info. Its role is to provide actual traffic information (for example car accidents, traffic restrictions, reconstruction works on routes etc.) in the area of Slovak and Czech Republic. The system Traffic Info contains a web portal with database of traffic information and a client mobile application for Android platform. This solution provides access to actual traffic information in real time. The geolocation data from internal GPS module of mobile device is used to specify the exact relevant location of traffic information. The traffic information is visually presented on the google maps according to obtained GPS data. Informational value of the system is built by the users of this service, who actively take part in adding traffic information to the system through mobile application or alternatively using the web portal.

Verkehrsdatenaufbereitung und -modellierung im operativen Verkehrsmanagementsystem VAMOS

Krimmling, Jürgen, Franke, Ralf, Körner, Matthias 18 July 2012 (has links) (PDF)
The operational traffic management system VAMOS realises specific data processing as general basis for aimed measures to influence traffic flow in the Dresden agglomeration. Approaches adapted to specific requirements of traffic activities in dense urban road networks were used for modelling traffic flow and infrastructural conditions. To annex traffic control systems as well as traffic information systems to the traffic conditions chart an advantageous strategy decoupling detection and control devices were implemented successfully.

以耐延遲車載網路方式,收集路況資訊與彙整時程評估 / Gathering Road Traffic Information and Consolidating Travel Time Estimation using Vehicular Delay Tolerant Networks

王林瀚, Wang, Lin Han Unknown Date (has links)
Many countries are concerning about the huge economic losses caused by the critical traffic congestion. We have the same problem in Taiwan. The solutions lie in finding the road section with traffic congestion first and informing drivers to avoid that section. But how to detect the road section with traffic congestion effectively is the most important issue of this research. Conventionally, the real-time road traffic is mostly predicted by long-term accumulated statistics calculated by the collection of the average speed of cars on the same road section. But this way can’t provide the real-time road traffic immediately. Based on vehicles with GPS and the capability of WiFi, we proposed gathering road traffic information and consolidating travel time estimation using vehicular delay tolerant networks. We also proposed the Road Traffic Awareness Routing Protocol (RTARP) to exchange the road traffic information preserved individually by One-Hop Controlled Flooding during nodes’ encounter. The results of simulations prove the routing protocol we proposed can effectively reduce the transmission overhead, improve the delivery ratio and the accuracy of the road traffic information.
