Para tanto buscam-se como fundamentação teórica olhares críticos que levam o leitor a ouvir as vozes do texto, que, paradoxalmente, tornam-se audíveis por meio do silêncio do narradorpersonagem. Teorias críticas contemporâneas constituem-se elementos ancilares desta dissertação. Dos teóricos alemães Hans Robert Jauss e Wolfgang Iser a estética da recepção é requisitada para o trânsito entre os vazios deixados pelo silêncio que habita o narrador-personagem. Por se tratar de um romance memorialista de ficção, recorre-se a conceitos de Marcel Proust como forma de presentificação do passado na tessitura de um romance que acorda lembranças. A pesquisa parte de reflexões sobre a cultura, em geral, de onde decorrem as particularidades regionais tão perceptíveis em Infância que levam à consideração da obra como regionalista, com base nos parâmetros indicados pela crítica. A narrativa, com seus monólogos memoriais, direciona ao aporte teórico do fluxo da consciência, conceito defendido por Robert Humphrey. Como última análise, é considerada a teoria atual da transculturação narrativa, proposta pelo crítico uruguaio Ángel Rama, dando relevo a dois dos três níveis que constituem o processo do trânsito entre culturas, a saber, o da cosmovisão e o da linguagem. / This research aim to do some considerations about Graciliano Ramos novel, Infância, whose textual architecture use a mix of reality and fiction, thereby opening multiple possibilities of analysis. For that they seek as theoretical foundation critical glances that lead the reader to hear the voices of the text, which, paradoxically, become audible through the silence of the narrator-character. Contemporary critical theories constitute ancillary elements of this work. From the german theorists Hans Robert Jauss and Wolfgang Iser the aesthetics of reception is required for transit between the gaps left by the silence that inhabits the narrator-character. Because it is a memoirist fiction novel, refers to Marcel Proust's concepts as a way to presentification last in the fabric of a novel that awakens memories. The research start of reflections about culture, in general, from which are derived the regional particularities as noticeable in Infância that lead to consideration of the work as regionalist, based on parameters set by the critics. The narrative, with its memorials monologues, directs the theoretical support of the stream of consciousness, a concept championed by Robert Humphrey. Finally, the current theory of transculturation narrative is considered, proposed by the uruguayan critic Ángel Rama, giving relief to two of the three levels that compose the process of transit between cultures, namely the worldview and language.
