Influences on the Work Quality and Life Satisfaction of the Staff in the CMA caused by the Organizational Changes

Tang, Erh-cheng 05 June 2007 (has links)
Abstract With respect to the combining program of ROC Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, the ROCMA has been conducting organization transformation and personnel downsizing since 2005; however, due to the time constraint, the rashly conducting of those works mentioned above has caused sense of instability and pressures to most of the school staff and faculty members. Besides, it may also affect the work quality and living contentment of the school staff and faculty members. This research, The Effect of Organization Transformation to the Work Quality and Living Contentment of the Organization Members, is focused on the school staff and faculty members of the ROCMA. It discusses the correlation between the organization transformation, the quality of work and the contentment of living, in order to provide the policy making element the references in making the follow up organization transformation policies avoiding the loss on the quality of work and the focus of living; therefore, the transformation policies could be implemented along with the improving of organization performance and the achieving of mission objectives. Through the focus group interview and questionnaires design, the following results are found, and they could be applied to the plan and personnel sections as references: The research is focus on ROCMA staff and faculty members besides general officers. 400 surveys were sent out, and 362 of them are valid, so the valid survey return rate is 90.5%. The results are: 1) The variables of organization transformation and work quality are positively correlated. 2) The variables of organization transformation and the contentment of living are positively correlated. 3) The quality of work and the contentment of living are significantly correlated; in which, the quality of work is positively correlated with the contentment of living in the aspects of work autonomy, work significance and work versatility; in the aspects of work feedback and work developing, however, the correlation is not significant. The contentment of living is positively correlated with the work quality in the aspects of organization rules, group relationship, job security and work reorganization; in the aspects of work environment and welfare though, the correlation is not significant. The suggestions according to this research are as follows: the simplicity of transformation process and the management theory should be combined for the research object during the transformation period in order to increase the efficiency, minimize redundant works, and avoid lobbying for jobs so that every jobs can be took by suitable person; finally, the way to reach the perfection and increase transformation efficiency with all the organization members¡¦ expectation is to correct exactly all the problems found during transformation period. Key words: Organization Transformation, Organization Transformation Awareness, the Quality of Work, the Contentment of Living.

Sequence Diagrams Integration via Typed Graphs: Theory and Implementation

LIANG, HONGZHI 03 September 2009 (has links)
It is widely accepted within the software engineering community that the support for integration is necessary for requirement models. Several methodologies, such as the role-based software development, that have appeared in the literature are relying on some kind of integration. However, current integration techniques and their tools support are insufficient. In this research, we discuss our solution to the problem. More precisely, we present a general integration approach for scenario-based models, particularly for UML Sequence Diagrams, based on the colimit construction known from category theory. In our approach, Sequence Diagrams are represented by SD-graphs, a special kind of typed graphs. The merge algorithm for SD-graphs is an extension of existing merge operations on sets and graphs. On the one hand, the merge algorithm ensures traceability and guarantees key theoretical properties (e.g., “everything is represented and nothing extra is acquired” during the merge). On the other hand, our formalization of Sequence Diagrams as SD-graphs retains the graphical nature of Sequence Diagrams, yet is amenable to algebraic manipulations. Another important property of our process is that our approach is applicable to other kinds of models as long as they can be represented by typed graphs. A prototype Sequence Diagram integration tool following the approach has been implemented. The tool is not only a fully functional integration tool, but also served as a test bed for our theory and provided feedback for our theoretical framework. To support the discovery and specification of model relationships, we also present a list of high-level merge patterns in this dissertation. We believe our theory and tool are beneficial to both academia and industry, as the initial evaluation has shown that the ideas presented in this dissertation represent promising steps towards the more rigorous management of requirement models. We also present an approach connecting model transformation with source transformation and allowing an existing source transformation language (TXL) to be used for model transformation. Our approach leverages grammar generators to ease the task of creating model transformations and inherits many of the strengths of the underlying transformation language (e.g., efficiency and maturity). / Thesis (Ph.D, Computing) -- Queen's University, 2009-08-28 13:03:08.607

The socio-morphological transformations of the city in the process of metropolization : the example of Aleppo from its foundation until 2011

Noaime, Emad 11 October 2016 (has links)
Aleppo, like many other cities in the world is affected by globalization, which has sparked a metropolitan dynamic with effects on the socio-spatial organization of the city. These effects have been considerable momentum in the decades preceding the outbreak of the revolution and the war, the city being in full expansion with rapid population growth, while development policies implemented will not revealed up to the phenomenon with greater centralization of services and equipment that amplifies the rural exodus. This research is based on the phenomenological complexity and take into account dynamic factors such as interaction and evolution. The new reading proposed here is based on the principles of morphogenesis that explain the dynamics of urban form.

L’autorité de la chaise : de sa fonction à sa transformation en oeuvre dans l’art chinois et occidental / The authority of the chair : from its function to its transformation into work in chinese and western art

Nong, Xian Wen 14 January 2017 (has links)
Socrates would say that the God created the form of the chair, that the craftsmen make other chairs according to this form, and that the artists create artistic chairs according to chairs made by the craftsmen. There is a truth in these ideas. The chair is the chair, it has its own form. It does not take the form of a piano, nor that of a bed. These ideas lead to the definition, the form, the manufacture, the use, the transformation and the significance of the chair. The human beings, from ancient Egypt, attributed two functions to the chair: one is material (sit) and the other is immaterial (symbolize). If the chair is used in a social, political or artistic activity (transformed, destroyed, rebuilt, etc.), it is symbolic (or symbolizing), this is the only condition where the chair can denote and signify. Get into contact with the chair so that it can mean! A change appeared from the end of the 19th century, designers designed and built a wide variety of innovative chairs, both utilitarian and artistic when the artists used simple and ordinary chairs or classical chairs in their art works. Although designers have sought new forms, but their chairs were still provided with the basic form (legs, seat and backrest) providing the fundamental function : sit. It appears that the form of the chair has already been defined. Who defined the form of the chair ? What does the chair mean?

Etude de différents modes d'élimination biologique de la zéaralénone, mycotoxine présente dans les céréales : Adsorption et Biotransformation / Development of elimination processes of mycotoxins contaminating livestock feeding

Jard, Gwénaëlle 03 December 2009 (has links)
Several species of fungi (Aspergillus, Fusarium, Penicillium…) are producers of very hazardous mycotoxins. Despite the use of recommended agricultural practices to avoid mold development and mycotoxinogenesis during crop growth, harvesting and storage, contamination by mycotoxins still occurs. Decontamination procedures are useful to reduce the mycotoxin content of contaminated raw materials. The first strategy we studied was to decrease the bioavailability of mycotoxins trapping them with binding agents. For the first time, the adsorption of mycotoxins by conidia of black Aspergilli has been demonstrated. Heat-treated conidia are as efficient as living conidia, which demonstrates that the components involved in adsorption are not affected by heat-treatment. The adsorption phenomenon seems to involved hydrophobic interactions. Further in vivo studies are necessary to develop the application of such a decontamination process to contaminated raw materials and feeds. The second strategy studied was the biodegradation of zearalenone by microorganisms which could offer a pratical and efficient method to alleviate negative effects on animals. For the first time, some Aspergillus niger strains, isolated from grapes, have been shown to transform zearalenone to zearalenone-sulfate. To be sure that zearalenone biotransformation leads to a detoxification, the estrogenic toxicity of zearalenone-sulfate was determined by cell culture studies. An estrogen receptor positive breast cancer cell line (MCF-7) was used to confirm the lost of toxicity by E-screen assay. The test principle is based on the fact that MCF-7 cells proliferate in presence of estrogenic substances. Zearalenone-sulfate was less estrogenic than zearalenone. Further work will focus on the stability of the zearalenone-sulfate in vivo.
