Hodnocení potenciálu turistického informačního centra USE-IT Prague / The evaluation of the potential of the tourist information centre USE-IT Prague

This diploma thesis evaluates the potential of the tourist information centre USE-IT Prague and its possibilities in the tourist destination Prague. The aim is to determine, whether the services the information centre currently offers are attractive enough for the visitors and whether it is possible for the information centre to make a profit in order to cover its operating costs. The introductory chapters are devoted to definition of basic terms relating to tourism and its participants, tourist information centre, non-profit organization and tools used to evaluate potential of certain business - lean canvas and SWOT analyses. The second theoretical part pays attention to the USE-IT organization on the European level as well as Czech level. The Prague branch is described into more detail. The practical part evaluates the possibilities the information centre have. The evaluation is based on two surveys among visitors if the USE-IT information centre and other European USE-IT information centres. The evaluation contents lean canvas and SWOT analyses. The last chapter propose the particular services, which USE-IT information centre could offer its visitors in order to increase the attractiveness of the whole place.

The diploma thesis analyses the current state of the tourism both in France and Corsica and other more it deals with the importance of the landscape and the natural environment for tourism in Corsica. The theoretical part defines tourism and presents different kinds of tourism (hiking). In the practical part there is analysed specifically the tourism in France, especially one French region -- Corsica is analysed more detailed. The aim of the diploma thesis is to point out the importance of the tourism both for France and for Corsica, to describe the current state of tourism and to analyse the possibilities of its development. More attention is given to the hiking and trekking and possibilities of its development on the Mediterranean island of Corsica.

The Master's Thesis focuses on the ways of tourist information centres contribution to the support of the tourism. The analysis is demonstrated on the tourist information centre of CzechTourism. The chapters contain tourist information centre's activities, the information about the Association of Tourist Information Centres in the Czech Republic, about CzechTourism, basic facts about state-funded institutions and methods of effectiveness evaluating in the non-profit sector. The practical part provides knowledge about the activities of the information centre on the Old Town Square, assesses its present situation and its contribution to the tourism support.

Analýza volně pohozených odpadů v chráněných územích ČR / Analysis of Littering in the protected areas of the Czech Republic

The problems of litter are now getting to the forefront of attention in the realm of waste research. The phenomenon of littering is monitored especially in towns, but not so much outside the urbanized areas. Waste represents, for both esthetic and conservationist reasons, an undesirable phenomenon. This holds true for the protected areas in particular. This Master's Thesis is concerned with the analysis of litter, which should be the first step in the prevention and solution of the problems of littering. Three protected landscape areas and two national parks were chosen for this survey. Two tourist trails were selected in each protected area - the main and the minor one. The collection of litter was carried out in spring, summer and autumn. Collected waste was categorized at first and then a number of pieces, weight and volume were set for each category concerned. The largest amount of litter was collected in the National park Krkonoše and the smallest in the Protected landscape area Kokořínsko. The largest number of litter pieces is represented by cigarette waste, followed by plastic and hygienic waste. This diploma thesis analyzes the development potential of film tourism for the domestic tourism of the Czech Republic. The aim is to determine whether the Czech Republic is perceived by residents as an attractive tourist destination for leisure or vacation and if they would be interested in film tourism products. The introductory chapter is devoted to the definition of basic concepts relating to tourism and destination marketing. The second theoretical part pays attention to film tourism and its characterization, including the definition of the concept, history of the development of film tourism, typology of film tourists and a description of its forms and products. Closely are described the possibilites of using the film as a destination marketing tool in the different life stages of the film (before, during and after filming) and the function of individual institutions dedicated to the promotion of film regions in the country. The practical part analyzes the development potential of film tourism in the Czech Republic, which is based on the analysis of secondary sources and a survey among residents. The attention is payed to the popularity of czech film production, the current state of the domestic tourism and to the offer of film tourism products in the Czech Republic. The last chapter is devoted to the proposal of a solution of film tourism product for a selected destination of the Czech Republic - Usti Region.

Comparative Analysis of New Trends in Ski Resort Marketing / Komparativní analýza nových trendů v marketingu lyžařských středisek

The purpose of this thesis is three-fold. First, it explored the ski resort marketing based on place and destination marketing theories. New trends and best practices support the theory by practical examples from the field and online research. Moreover, general hypotheses about ski resorts' visitors were defined. The second objective was to analyze the behavior of ski resorts' visitors based on a quantitative research. As a result, the predefined hypotheses were either confirmed or disproved. Finally, practical implications and recommendations combining the recent trends and tourists' experiences were discussed to suggest future development of ski resort marketing practices. In the end, research results, conclusions as well as its limitations are presented. Overall, this thesis could serve as a comprehensive study of current trends in the area of ski resort marketing and visitors' behavior and experiences.
