Tvar Kerrova gravitačního pole / Shape of the Kerr gravitational fieldTynianskaia, Valeriia January 2021 (has links)
Kerr metric is one of the most well-known and useful exact solutions of Einstein equations. We study various geometric properties of the Kerr spacetime in order to gain intuition for its spatial shape. In the review part we summarize basic features of the Kerr geometry, we write down Carter equations for geodesic motion in the Kerr spacetime, and we introduce kinematic characteristics of time-like and light-like congruences, such as expansion, shear and twist. In the second part of the thesis we calculate scalars for acceleration, expansion, shear and twist - and plot the corresponding "equipotential" surfaces - for several privi- leged congruences, namely the Carter observers, the static observers, the zero-angular- momentum observers, the principal null congruence and the recently found non-twisting null congruence(s). We also draw surfaces radially equidistant from the horizon and sur- faces spatially orthogonal to the PNC and to the twist-free congruences, as well as the surfaces of constant energy and redshift for the important time-like congruences. 1

Průběhové tvary v současné mluvené britské angličtině / The progressive in present-day spoken British EnglishJerglová, Aneta January 2019 (has links)
THESIS ABSTRACT This thesis studies the progressive in present-day spoken British English. Recent studies of the progressive in present-day English have discovered that there has been a significant increase in frequency of the use of the progressive especially in spoken English. The increase is deemed partly due to the use of the progressive with anti-progressive verbs, with which the progressive was traditionally not applied, and to the rise of the subjective function. The aim of the diploma thesis is to determine which traditional anti-progressive verbs are used most frequently with the progressive in present-day British English as well as to determine the proportion of these verbs to verbs commonly used with the progressive. Furthermore, three frequent anti-progressive verbs - be, think and feel - were selected to analyse the functions of the progressive when used with anti-progressive verbs. The data is extracted from the Spoken BNC 2014 as it enables examination of the use of progressive in present-day spoken British English.

Silné tvary raně středoanglických adjektiv z hlediska syntaktického a aktuálního členění větného / Strong adjectival forms in Early Middle English: a syntactic and FSP perspectiveKupková, Tereza January 2014 (has links)
The Master's thesis proceeds from a corpus-based analysis and focuses on strong forms of Early Middle English adjectives. A formal distinction between weak and strong adjectival forms had disappeared during the period of Middle English, the work, therefore, aims at the transitional period between Old and Middle English, when the strong forms could still be identified, either due to the relics of inflectional endings, syntactic position, or context. A representative sample of the most frequent adjectives was chosen from the corpus comprising the extant Middle English texts with help of specific searching code. Consequently, the strong forms were manually chosen from these according to their formal characteristics and position in the sentence. This sample was then analyzed from the syntactic point of view, as well as from the point of view of functional sentence perspective. The results of the analysis show that the indication of indefiniteness was mostly expressed by the mix of syntactic and contextual means in EME. It has also been found out that the adjectives, being used both attributively and predicatively, were by rule part of the rheme.

Evidence a analýza terénních tvarů reliéfu a jejich vztahu ke středověkým hradním areálům / Antropogenic landforms identification and analysis of their relation to medieval castlesSýkora, Martin January 2018 (has links)
This Thesis focuses on the anthropogenic geomorphology in the vicinity of eight selected castles in the Bohemia region. The first part of study gathers information about already known archaeological features in the castle areas or hinterland. The first step of the survey uses LIDAR data combined with both historical and contemporary maps. Next, a surface survey helped to prove the existence of selected archaeological features, mark their location and get their written description and photographic documentation. Thanks to the information collected this way, we can possibly interpret former use of the features, as well as their origins in relation to the existence of the castle itself. The last part evaluates efficiency of the used method and reflects of the state of the examined castles areas and surroundings. Key-words: Medieval archaeology - Non-destructive methods - LIDAR - Castle - Anthropogenic landforms

Automatická klasifikace vybraných terénních tvarů z jejich kartografické reprezentace / Automated recognition of selected terrain features from their cartographic representationSykora, Matúš January 2021 (has links)
Automated recognition of selected terrain features from their cartographic representation. This diploma thesis is dedicated to automatic classification of selected terrain shapes and their cartographic representation. The main aim of this thesis is to design methodological approach for automatic recognition of terrain shapes (hills and valleys) with the use of Machine Learning (Deep Learning). The first part of suggested method divides rough terrain segmentation into two categories, which will be then classified with convolutional neural network. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to the very classification of pre-segmented terrain shapes using Machine Learning. Both parts of the processing are using photos SRTM30 as an input data. The whole proposed method was developed in Python programming language with the usage of Arcpy, TensorFlow and Keras libraries. Keywords: Digital cartography, GIS, terrain shapes, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, recognition, classification, segmentation

Dynamická analýza železniční mostní konstrukce / Dynamic analysis of railway bridgeMojrová, Martina January 2017 (has links)
The content of work is to determine modal characteristics of bridge construction over the Dyje river near Břeclav. That is done in ANSYS software and AxisVM software. These characteristics are compared with results from dynamic loading test and they are compared between themselves. In thesis is also an assessment of response to static traffic loads because of decision about dynamic analysis necessity. Then there is a simulation of dynamic traffic loads and results of this simulation are compared with results of dynamic analysis which was done by the project. The aim is to do a few static and dynamic tasks and compare results with the real dynamic test and with calculated results and to determinate the effect on certain variables.
