Úvod do bio artu / Introduction to bio art

Šperanda, Nina January 2016 (has links)
Bio art is a contemporary art practice that works with living organisms (except humans) or is created in cooperation with living organisms. It is relatively new art movement that is rooted deeply inside the history of evolution, domestication of animals and plants, technological discoveries, their development and science. Never before was art questioning its ethics and aesthetics in such profound, molecular and sub-molecular way. In this work I will consider the historical influences and conditions that led to current developments in the field. I will also try to explain the problematics of defining what bio art is and try to clarify the associated terminology. Most relevant and ground breaking works in the field will be mentioned as some new recent developments. Aesthetics of bio art is also an important subject often set aside by the ado around ethics of it. It is an extremely important subject to be considered when talking about bio art and I will try to sketch out a brief outline of it with references to philosophy and contemporary bio art theory.

Vnitřní logika filmového jazyka / Internal Film Logic

Tichovský, Martin January 2017 (has links)
Abstract The thesis Internal film logic analyzes the processes by which an audience is guided through visual signs. Film is conceived here as a type of communication. The text explores processes and relationships in the author-artwork-audience axis, and offers a terminological apparatus to philosophically work with basic questions regarding creative intention. The purpose of this work is to lead the reader-cinematographer towards awareness of organic structures within film alongside the commonly utilized technical frameworks. If an author can conceive of film as a communication process, then a film can come to life as a „dialogue“: to direct audience's thought paths, provoke their intellectual capabilities, and enliven their experiences against their expectations.

Obraz domu v britském románu (1906-2009) / Representation of the House in British Fiction (1906-2009). (E.M. Forster, John Galsworthy, Simon Mawer)

Hanzlová, Tereza January 2011 (has links)
The diploma thesis focuses on diverse representations of the house in selected British novels since 1906. The novels have been chosen in reference to the importance assigned to houses in terms of plot, characters, and setting, each offering a unique vision of the house. A house is perceived as a home, as a possession or as a work of art. The novels by E.M. Forster, John Galsworthy and Simon Mawer are viewed through the prism of Phenomenology, namely the essays of Martin Heidegger, Jan Patočka and Anna Hogenová. This type of analysis provides an insight into the motivations of the individual characters, but also a deeper understanding of the function and role of the house in fiction as well as in reality. All the works are studied accordingly in the context of a wider social, cultural and aesthetic background. Key words: British fiction, Phenomenology, House, Home, Modernism, Work of Art

Reiserová, Štěpánka January 2014 (has links)
Following Diploma Thesis is focused on problematic of oboe teaching to beginners at an Art School. My objective was to summarize the issues as well as a help when solving out the problems whilst teaching. This Thesis might as well be used as a teaching methodology for an incipient teacher. The main source of information was my own experience as well as the experience of other pedagogues from the educational practice. In the individual chapters there I concentrated on selection of a pupil, suitable age for playing, prerequisites, a correct breathing technique and breathing exercises, the embouchure, a reed for the beginners, an issues of the instruments and their rent or purchase all of which is followed by difficulties occurring with gradual technique of advanced level and a switchover from an automatic system of the instrument to a semi-automatic one. I also mention here instrumental schools, etudes or performances which are available in our country and are also suitable for education. I have also included a chapter about home practicing, means of expression, stage fright, motivation, playing by heart and playing in an orchestra or in a chamber ensemble, or even about competitions. Part of my Thesis is also a questionnaire, which had been answered by teachers of an Art School, and which I made conclusions of.
