ISTQB : Black Box testing Strategies used in Financial Industry for Functional testingSaeed, Umar, Amjad, Ansur Mahmood January 2009 (has links)
Black box testing techniques are important to test the functionality of the system without knowing its inner detail which makes sure correct, consistent, complete and accurate behavior or function of a system. Black box testing strategies are used to test logical, data or behavioral dependencies, to generate test data and quality of test cases which have potential to guess more defects. Black box testing strategies play pivotal role to detect possible defects in system and can help in successful completion of system according to functionality. The studies of five companies regarding important black box testing strategies are presented in this thesis. This study explores the black box testing techniques which are present in literature and practiced in industry as well. Interview studies are conducted in companies of Pakistan providing solutions to finance industry, which is an attempt to find the usage of these techniques. The advantages and disadvantages of identified Black box testing strategies are discussed, along with it; the comparison of different techniques with respect to most defect guessing, dependencies, sophistication, effort, and cost is presented as well.

Development of a health management information system using agile software-engineering methodsShahidzay, Amir Kror January 2013 (has links)
>Magister Scientiae - MSc / The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the development of a web application
from scratch. It serves to build a health management information system from
basic principles and covers all the software engineering activities starting from
the gathering of requirements, evaluating these and eventually implementing
a health management information system by applying several iterations of
the Agile-extreme-programming-software-engineering approach to develop a
Health Management System for the Kabul University Poly-clinic located at
Kabul University campus in order to computerize clerical activities at the
hospital. Questionnaires were used to uncover the clerical problems experienced
by the hospital sta . Attempts to address these problems by designing and im-
plementing software and re ne the software after some iterations of feedback-
redesign-and-implementation following the guidelines of Agile extreme pro-
gramming. The previous Health management systems at the hospital were paper
based. The new computerized system has eased the burdens of tracking the
les of patients at the hospital, leading to easier and more e cient access to
information by the health-care professionals at the hospital. An assessment
of the impact this has had on the medical and clerical sta and the smoother
administration of the hospital by repeated user acceptance testing by means
of questionnaires con rms the success of the project.

Exploring the influence of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) programmes on participants' experience of time, particularly the present (here and now): a case study of Eastern Cape participantsSchofield, Lorna January 2012 (has links)
This study aims to explore the extent to which participating in a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme may result in shifts in people’s relationship with time, notably whether they become more present-focussed. The eight week MBSR programme advocates mindfulness, which is defined as paying attention on purpose in the present moment without judgement, as a way of reducing stress. The programme has been available in East London since 2009. A case study of eight MBSR programme participants’ experiences using narrative analysis was conducted. Narrative psychology and social constructionism provided the theoretical basis in which our storied lives are located in culturally inscribed narratives, with specific discourses around time and stress. Time discourses tend to pressurise people to believe that it is better to go about daily life at a fast pace, which requires significant hurrying and rushing with pervasive senses of time urgency. Stress discourse locates stress management within individuals. One-on-one semi structured interviews were held so that participants could reflect on their experience of time and the present moment orientation of the programme. Participants’ perceived a shift in how they experienced time with greater awareness of being present-focussed and they identified stress reduction benefits, which included feeling calmer, less panicked and more self-accepting. However, some of the participants maintaining the formal mindfulness practices like the body scan, meditation and mindful movement after the programme often proved difficult, as they were drawn back into their dominant narratives around time which were characterised by busyness, productivity and time scarcity.

Výkon pracovníků a motivace v organizaci (a návrh IT pro jejich podporu) / Staff performance and motivation in the organization (and design IT to support them)Biľ, Tomáš January 2010 (has links)
Paper summarizes the importance of motivation and performance of employees in the organization. The primary goal of this paper is to propose solutions to increase motivation and thus performance. Meet this target would require the implementation of many activities, from finding present, the IS architecture, through detailed analysis of individual systems, which affect workers. Important too was the definition of where all the motivation and performance in man takes and how it can be measured. In the practical part I have done, according to gained experience, using the LMI survey questionnaire to identify weak areas of performance motivation. These results, I finally offered advice and firstly from a psychological perspective, and secondly in terms of IT and its main information system, the workers who come into contact every day and therefore has a huge impact on them. Contribution of the author of this thesis was to identify and increase motivation, through analysis and recommendations specified by the selected methodologies.

This text is documentation for multi-access system, which supports recoverable materials. It deals with structure possibilities according to functional system specification and its implementation through the PHP together with using MySQL database system. It analyses a progress of system creation from ER diagram through use-case diagram to programming itself. This work shows how to design web advertisement system which enables an user to define personal multi-level views on data. This project might have been as basis for commerce project, which can check up usability designed structure of individual parts.
