Význam a potřeba kyseliny listové v těhotenství / The importance and need of folic acid during pregnancy

Mádle, Zuzana January 2021 (has links)
Pregnancy places great strain upon the body of a woman. Many things contribute to a successful pregnancy, such as healthy eating habits, healthy lifestyle, adequate physical activity, fresh air, good mental health. It is recommended to begin folic acid supplementation even before conception. Folic acid, known as folate, is one of the B vitamins. Pregnancy places greater need for folic acid intake, especially in the early stages, where insufficiency or even deficiency can manifest in a pathological pregnancy, oftentimes fatal. The specific link between the two is not yet very well known. However, several studies have confirmed that there is a positive effect that comes with increased folic acid intake before conception and during the first few weeks of pregnancy, most notably reduced occurrence of neural tube birth defects. General population generally doesn't have adequate intake of folic acid, so there is usually a folic acid deficit before and during pregnancy as well. This can be countered by consuming food high in folate, targeted food enrichment or direct consumption of supplements containing folic acid. The Czech Republic currently doesn't enrich food with folic acid, therefore it is recommended to increase its intake via supplementation. Research investigation through paper questionnaires...

Preventivní účinky kyseliny listové ve výživě / Preventive effects of folic acid in nutrition

Chalánková, Veronika January 2022 (has links)
This thesis is focused on folic acid and its preventive effects on human health. Folic acid has many important functions in the human body and is especially important during pregnancy. It is essential for the proper development of the fetus and its adequate intake is the prevention of serious congenital malformations, such as neural tube defects, premature birth, abortion and other pathologies. The increased need for this vitamin is not easy to supplement with a regular diet. It is therefore recommended to take it in the form of food supplements (400-600 µg/day) during pregnancy and at least one month before the planned conception. For these reasons, it is necessary to focus on supporting the primary prevention of folic acid use, preferably in all fertile women. Folic acid also plays a crucial role in hematopoiesis and the main manifestation of its deficiency is megaloblastic anemia. Folic acid is further associated with the prevention of cardiovascular and cancer diseases and influencing the development of cognitive functions. The practical part of this thesis was focused on monitoring the saturation of pregnant women with this vitamin. The work contains a laboratory analysis of the content of the metabolite folic acid 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) in the urine of pregnant women in order to...

Vývojové fáze podniků v sektoru C - Zpracovatelský průmysl / Stage of development for companies in the sector C - Manufacturing

JUNGBAUEROVÁ, Jana January 2015 (has links)
The thesis discusses the various life stages of enterprise and indicators that characterize their different stages. The development of the company can be likened to natural organisms, businesses over time, undergo changes similar to all living organisms. The company is first born, continues to grow, mature, in later stage performance decreases, and eventually leads to extinction. Analyzed enterprises were engaged in the manufacture of food products, employed at least one worker and were doing business continuously from 2008 to 2013. The ultimate goal was to classify individual businesses into specific phases of development: formation, growth, stabilization, maturation, decline and extinction. Breakdown into various life stages was based on three methods. The first method examined developments in terms of sales for each company and compared it with the industry average. The second procedure was stricter, setting out the order of enterprises through the development of the three criteria. Third method chose only examples of companies which results of selected financial indicators best characterize a particular stage of development. According to the first two methods, most enterprises from the entire population are in the growth stage, least companies are at the stage of extinction.

Specifika ošetřovatelské péče u dětí hospitalizovaných s autismem / Nursing Care Particularities in Children Admitted to Hospital with Autism

SCHÖNBAUEROVÁ, Andrea January 2012 (has links)
The topic of the thesis is the Nursing Care Particularities in Children Admitted to Hospital with Autism. In the theoretical part is found the description of autism causes, clinical manifestation, diagnostics, basic therapeutic measures and nursing care in such children. The thesis has set three goals: Goal 1- finding out problems concerning the hospital admittance of an autistic child. Goal 2- determining the specific features of nursing care in children with autism. Goal 3- creating an informative brochure that would help nurses to gain basic information necessary to provide expert nursing care to autistic children. To gain these goals, a method of qualitative research and the technique of standardized interviews were used. In the frame of the research, two research samples were used. The first one consisted of nurses who work in children´s psychiatric wards and children´s neurologic wards. These nurses were chosen deliberately as they care about autistic children regularly and have a lot of experience in this branch. Altogether ten interviews were conducted and were recorded on the record keeping sheet and consequently processed. The other research sample were mothers of children in whom autism was diagnosed and who experienced hospital admittance either as a diagnostic stay or in connection with acute treatment. Also here ten interviews were conducted. After the completion of qualitative research answers to the set research questions were gained: Research question 1 finds out what are the specific features of nursing care in children with autism. On the basis of the research, it was concluded that nursing care in autistic children has some specific features such as communication, observing rituals, the necessity of a parent´s company, as well as the psychical burden both of children and staff. Research question 2 focused on finding what problems are connected with the hospital admittance of an autistic child. On the basis of the conducted interviews, it was concluded that the biggest problems concerning hospital admittance apply to children´s aggressivity, difficult adaptability to environment changes and problems that occur after the experienced admittance. Further on, it was concluded that also children´s individuality is a serious problem that has to be taken into consideration during nursing care. Research question 3 found out how nurses assess parent´s presence during the admittance of autistic children. All nurses perceive the parent´s presence highly positively. They see the most benefits in passing important information to nurses, accompanying the child during the whole period of admittance, helping with the adaptation to a new environment, providing the common daily care including spending free time and giving the child the feeling of safety and assurance. Research question 4 deals with nurses´ feelings when nursing autistic children. The provided information is individual. The research has found that nurses feel well, do not see problems and the work is routine for them. Negative feelings are influenced by circumstances concerning mood, tiredness or demanding communication with parents. Further, it was concluded that nurses feel insecurity in the period when they start working with autistic children or during the first contact with the child. With regard to high disorder prevalence in the population, it is essential for nurses to know basic information concerning autism and adopt the basis of nursing care in children with this disability type. In this connection, an information material was created that has to help nurses to acquire basic information necessary to provide expert care to autistic children.

Regionální diferenciace populačního vývoje v Ústeckém kraji: historickogeografická analýza / Regional differentiation in the population development of Ústecký Region: historic-geographic analysis

FIKAROVÁ, Nikola January 2018 (has links)
This master´s thesis is focused on analysis of regional differentiation of population development in Ústecký Region. The analysis is divided into three stages of human society evolution, such as pre-industrial, industrial and post-industrial. Beside these stages, the thesis also deals with a historical context of given period and at the same time, deals with comparison of this phenomena with the rest of the Czech. The population in Ústecký Region was influenced by factors, as natural and socioeconomic determinants. The thesis emphasises phenomena connected to railways, hierarchical arrangements of residences and their administrative functions. Intensity of these three facts had been examined on a sample of 119 villages. After the analysis, the evaluation of dynamics of the population development follows; this time it is viewed from the perspective of microregions. The synthetic part follows the analysis and deals with categorization of those microregions, it generalises population´s trends and it predicates its development. The final part then confirms hypothesis given in the beginning of the thesis.
