SEMINARIO DE INVESTIGACIÓN PARA OPTAR AL GRADO DE MAGÍSTER EN COMUNICACIÓN POLÍTICA / Desde el cruce entre la filosofía política y las teorías de la comunicación, esta investigación quiere estudiar el fenómeno de la violencia ejercida por ETA. Para ello se ha querido analizar una herramienta diferente a la de los atentados pero que puede operar con tanta violencia como estos: los discursos. Es por ello por lo que la pregunta de investigación es “¿cómo se muestra la violencia en los discursos de ETA?”.

A presente pesquisa se desdobrou em dois movimentos diferentes e complementares. O primeiro se propôs a desenvolver um estudo da narrativa Il Quartiere, de Vasco Pratolini, a partir da sua contextualização na trajetória ficcional do escritor florentino. Publicada em 1945, esta obra é lida neste trabalho, segundo a orientação do próprio autor, que a projeta como resultado do esforço de aproximá-la do que afirma ser a sua verdade, elaborada a partir da consciência de classe e de literatura, construída até 1943, ano em que finaliza sua escritura. Em um período marcado pelo final da Segunda Guerra e, mais especificamente, pela Resistenza italiana, da qual o intelectual participou ativamente, o romance retoma os anos que antecederam tais eventos históricos, compreendendo um arco histórico que vai de 1930 a 1937. O segundo movimento se deu na elaboração de uma proposta de tradução de Il Quartiere, em diálogo com algumas teorias da tradução que, ao iluminarem aspectos importantes do livro, revelaram-se como processos metafóricos da própria obra. O objetivo dos resultados aqui apresentados visa sugerir que a estética realizada por atos de linguagem veicula a ética de vocação coletiva de Vasco Pratolini, reconhecida nas línguas que percorrem O Bairro e dizem dele mais do que parecem, quando vista por um olhar brasileiro. / This research has been unfolded into two different, but complementary, ways. In the first one we proposed to develop a study on the narrative Il Quartiere, by Vasco Pratolini, from its contextualization with the fictional trajectory of this Florentine author. Published in 1945, the work is read in this paper, according to the orientation of the author himself, who projects it as a result to reach what he calls his \"truth\", elaborated from the awareness of class and literature, built up to 1943, year when he finishes his writing. In a period marked by the end of the Second World War and more specifically by the Resistenza Italiana, in which the intellectual participated actively, the novel recovers the years that preceded such historic events, composing a historic arc that takes place from 1930 to 1937. The second way has emerged from the elaboration of a translation proposal to Il Quartiere, in a dialogue with some theories of translation that, by enlightening important aspects of the book, have revealed themselves as metaphorical processes of the work itself. The aim of the results hereby presented intend to suggest that esthetics performed by acts of language - conveys the ethic of Vasco Pratolinis collective vocation, recognized in the languages spoken in the neighborhood that tell us more about in than we estimate.

The aim of the present Master`s Degree Thesis is to make an approximation to the Basque theme in the selected works of Pío Baroja. Concretely, it`s close to twenty short stories and the novels of the tetralogy Tierra vasca (Basque country), namely, La casa de Aizgorri, Zalacaín el aventurero, La leyenda de Jaun de Alzate y El mayorazgo de Labraz. First, the San Sebastian writer`s relation with the Basque country is presented, as well as his vision of his fatherland in the history context. Second, the presence of the Basque language - as known as euskera - in the works is described, as in the vocabulary, the onomastic or for example in phrases or in popular songs. Third, we study concrete Basque motives, such as the landscape, the cities and towns, the people, the history or the Basque sorcery and mythology.

No ano de 1923, o Clube de Regatas Vasco da Gama disputa pela primeira vez a Primeira Divisão do Campeonato Carioca de Futebol. A equipe conquista o título tendo, entre seus jogadores, homens negros e mulatos. Com vitórias expressivas, aquela trajetória passa a ocupar um lugar importante no imaginário construído sobre as primeiras décadas do futebol brasileiro. Toda esta construção está fundamentada na obra de Mario Filho, O Negro no Futebol Brasileiro. O livro relata o feito vascaíno como uma trajetória heróica, na qual um time formado por negros e mulatos precisou superar preconceitos raciais para alcançar seus objetivos. A proposta desta pesquisa é comparar a narrativa de Mario Filho com o que foi escrito nos jornais da época. O objetivo é verificar se há mais incoerências ou coincidências entre o que Mario Filho escreveu e o que os jornais noticiaram. Ao retomar os jornais da década de 1920, verificamos como a imprensa enxergava o acontecimento à época e, se o preconceito racial estava presente nas páginas dos jornais, assim como nos faz crer a obra de Mario Filho. A comparação revelou que, em alguns momentos, a narrativa de Mario Filho encontra respaldo integral nas notícias publicadas no ano de 1923. No entanto, em outras oportunidades o autor não encontra nenhum respaldo nas outras fontes consultadas. / In 1923, the Clube de Regatas Vasco da Gama takes part of the Rio de Janeiro state football First Division league for the very first time. The team wins the title having black and mulatto men among its players. With its impressive victories, that trajectory begins to occupy an important role in the imagination built on the early decades of Brazilian football. This whole construction is based on Mario Filhos work, The Negro in Brazilian Soccer. The book tells the achievements of this man as a heroic journey, in which a team made up of blacks and mulattos had to overcome racial prejudice in order to achieve his goals. The present research aims at comparing Mario Filhos narrative with what was written in the newspapers of that time. The main objective is to check for inconsistencies or more coincidences between what Mario Filho has written and what the newspapers reported. By taking up the newspapers from the 1920s, it is possible to examine how the event was seen by the press at the time. It is also possible to determine whether racial bias was present in the pages of newspapers, as Mario Filhos work makes us believe. The comparison showed that, in some parts, Mario Filhos narrative is greatly supported by reports published in 1923. However, on other occasions, the author finds no support in other sources consulted.
