Hållbar vattenhantering : fokusera på det som är viktigast och inte på det som är lättast

This study is built on questions around sustainable development with an alignment of water. Based on the purpose and issues of this study, the reader will hopefully get a clearer picture how states act surrounding sustainable development. Also, how conflicts affect water management between neighboring states. States have a long way to walk to reach the UN Global Sustainable Development Goals, the achievements for sustainable development is set for the year of 2030. The following study is built on a deductive issue, that are linked to theories, models, and previous research. The purpose of the study is to give the reader a clearer picture how states act to achieve sustainable water management.    This study also investigates how conflicts affect water management between states. The survey reveals that water resources around transboundary water management can contribute to stability between states. Transboundary water management promotes collaboration and conflicts can be avoided. On the other hand, there are problems for the future regarding transboundary water management. Climate change seen today may affect and downturn the possibilities of transboundary water management in the future. The climate change could possibly lead to conflicts in the future where states want control surrounding the water resources.   Therefore, it is of the utmost importance that laws, frameworks and guidelines regarding transboundary water management today consider research about the climate of the future. By building strong partnerships today surrounding water resources, food and productions maybe conflicts in the future can be prevented. Where the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals can be reached by the year of 2030. Sustainable development in school is an important part of promoting democratic citizens of the future. By discussing and teaching about sustainable development, students are given good opportunities to continue the work on sustainable development. In this study’s questionnaire survey, students find that sustainable development is something that the school should highlight. Students are also willing to sacrifice to achieve sustainable development goals.
